The room was very spacious, the biggest I've ever stayed in during a holiday. This was the biggest plus, as it made my stay pleasant and comfortable. I would place my luggage on the floor, wide open, and I still had space to move about. Same for my cousin. The second best plus of the accommodation is its very central location. One can stroll in the heart of the old town and the new town is only a 7-minute walk. The place is almost next to a long street lined with shops and restaurants. Other room-related features were perfect: cleanliness, lighting, appearance, the bed was big and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helped us with every question we had.

FAQs about hotels on Rhodes

Still a Wonder

Wonderful Rhodes has amazing beaches, nightlife and history. Its capital – Rhodes Town – once boasted the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World.

Although sadly no trace of it exists in the harbour, its Old Town is still UNESCO World Heritage listed. This is because of the magnificent Palace of the Grand Master, a 14th-century castle once home to the Knights Hospitaller.

Just around the coast is Faliraki, the nightlife hotspot with clubs, bars and restaurants galore. Afantou and Kolymbia to the south have long, golden beaches, but the island’s crowning glory has to be Lindos. If you arrive by sea, you could be forgiven for thinking that you’ve reached paradise.

Home to some of the best Rhodes hotels, Lindos is a picture-perfect town with whitewashed houses hugging the sides of a hill that is topped with remains of an acropolis. On the other side of the hill is St Paul’s Bay where the apostle’s boat reportedly ran aground.

Lardos and Kiotari further south have a good range of Rhodes hotels by the beach available on Booking.com, while on the other side of the island Kremasti and neighbouring Trianda (also known as Ialysos) have a good range of watersports and quick transfers from Rhodes Airport.

    Our entire stay at Alila was wonderful, and we are very happy we chose to spend our honeymoon here. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and they even upgraded our room without us ever asking for anything ( big thanks to Alexandros for being so kind). The restaurant staff were always very professional, and the cleaning staff did an amazing job because this was the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed at. The resort in itself was beautiful, the room was spacious and comfortable and and the beach was lovely. The entire place had a luxurious and exclusive feel, but without the air of coldness and arrogance that often comes with it. Instead, we always felt comfortable, relaxed and cozy. The highlight was the food, we are vegetarian and we had so much to choose from. We give an absolute 10/10 for every meal we had and an 11/10 for the most delicious cakes and deserts. The bars served great cocktails too, and even on the nights we wanted something non-alcoholic, there were so many creative and delicious options to choose from. We gained some weight, but it was well worth it. All in all, this was a great experience and we are really looking forward to going to Alila again.

    Bright and beautiful hotel, the facilities are vast and there are comfortable chairs and relaxing furniture on every corner. The food is plenty and changes a lot the stay, so it was never boring. There is always fresh fruit available at the buffet and also salads for lunch and dinner, besides the regular dishes and a generous dessert offer. During the day you have in addition some snack stations to get a sweet crepe, some authentic Italian pizza and much more. Although there are many rooms, the public spaces were big and it did never feel crowded. The hotel is directly at the beach, and boats and day trips start directly at the hotel. Also there is a bus station in front of the hotel which brings you directly to Rhodos town and many other places, is is ridiculously easy to get around. A small shopping are is 3 minutes walk away as well. We stayed one week with our 2 year old and me 6 months pregnant and enjoyed every minute. We had some minor things for the room or some questions and the staff was very friendly and helped us. We tried also the Spa for massages and facials, also there high quality, good price-service ratio and friendly and professional staff.

    We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a Sea View suite. The location is fantastic. It is across the road from a great beach and only a short 10 minute walk back into the main town. We added daily breakfast to our stay and it was a great decision. There are plenty of other dining options around and lots to see and do. The staff we great and our stay was excellent. They even prepared some breakfast packs for us as we had a 4.00 am transfer to the airport. We were glad we chose this Hotel.

    Good location, clean room, and room services come every day. Great food all the time. The staff are very friendly, especially Nick, the americans one. The pools are so good and clean, my kids love the aqua park with the slides. Pool bar serv drinks all day to midnight. The beach is about a 15 minutes walk from the hotel, but there is a shuttle bus to the beach many times up to 16.30 in the afternoon. Very good activities for the kids and the adults every day in the evening.

    Our seventh trip to Rhodes Town over thirty years. With each visit, the crowds have been worse. Enormous cruise ships are the root of the problem. The hotels and bars on the beach side of the new town are still as ghastly as ever, and there are more of them. The new town's most interesting features are the Turkish cemetery, the Ottoman bazaar and the fascist architecture from the Italian era (1912-43). But Rhodes Town is really about the old town, which is inimitable.

    Very cozy, hospitable and comfortable city. I felt like home. Delicious food in all restaurants and affordable prices. Lots of shops and grocery stores and souvenir shops. Everything is within walking distance. And if you need to go somewhere further - excellent and inexpensive public transport.

I like to rent a self catering apartment and just buy my food locally or simply just go to one of the local restaurants.     Close enough to Rhodes Old Town to visit regularly if you want. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Lively, but not rowdy. As a kitesurfer, it offered me a choice of beaches and kite stations within 25 mins. Also, the sea breeze was pretty reliable most afternoons. My family thoroughly enjoyed the picturesque sunset horse riding that took place just in front of Rainbow Bar. We all enjoyed this special little bar, its food, cocktails, beer and view of the sunset.

    Nice hotel overall, perfect stay for a relaxing holiday! Good location, right next to the beach! Similar hotels in the area are separated from their own private beach by a road, so having the beach right next to the hotel is a greate advantage of this hotel! All-inclusive service was exactly as described: great variety of foods, alcohol free and also alcoholic bevarages are served from 10:00 in the bars (including heavenly frappes!), but on some days champagne was available for breakfast. Snack bar also had a great variety of foods. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always smiling and kind! Hotel is nicely designed, lot of areas to relax without being overly crowded by guests.

The animation team and pool bar service were highlights of our stay. What we didn’t like was the limited selection of nonalcoholic drinks, the extra cost for water despite having all-inclusive, and the outdated room standard. The beach also had a rocky seabed and unclear water, which made swimming less enjoyable. Overall, a good experience with a few areas that could be improved.

    All staff amazing except the pool service bar.

    All staff amazing except the pool service bar. Not attentive enough, had to go for drinks myself to be told we will come to you then it took at least half an hour! One of the lunches that I ordered eventually turned up and was completely cold, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said it was the kitchens fault! Shame really, the rest of the place and the staff were really good. The on-site restaurants are amazing.

    Note this review is for Stegna, not the main village on the hill. Its really a lovely spot for a beach style holiday. Places for fishing, chilling, enjoying eating, a lovely walk. Perfect chill spot with a family feel. If you are looking for night life and big hotels, this is not the spot for you. We did not know there was a kayak company on site so we had pre-booked with Trekking Hellas so had to drive North to the start but it was a lovely trip with double kayaks.

    Pefki is a lovely place to stay, much less buisier than Lindos next door which pulls large number of visitors during the day. Main Lee beach is sandy with plentyfull sunbeds, spaces on the eastern side of the beach otherwise. Very Good choice of restaraunts Nikolas and Tsambikos being our favourites. Car hire with full insurance for a week cost us £190 in Pefkos, necessary for conveniance but not essential as there is a good bus sevice along the main east coast road.

    Kiotari has the best beaches in Rhodes.

    Kiotari has the best beaches in Rhodes. The location of Mitsis Hotel is perfect. The food is excellent and rich. Getting to Kiotari is about one hour from the airport if by taxi or renting a car. You should take a car for one day to visit the old city of Rhodes.
