We had a wonderful stay here! The room was very beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Everything was extremely clean and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. The owner was truly kind and always available, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was minimalistic but more than enough, with everything fresh and tasty. A Greek Island Dream

Imagine a typical Greek island with whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and sloping cliffs, and the chances are that you’re thinking of Santorini. Protectively curving around 4 other islands in its archipelago, this volcanic island has fertile ground bringing forth lovely rosé wine and some of the sweetest cherry tomatoes you’ll ever taste.

High on a caldera shelving into the sea, the capital Fira overlooks the cruise liners plying the turquoise Aegean waters below. North is Imerovigli, home to several 5-star Santorini hotels with fantastic views.

Also providing amazing views is the accommodation in Oia across the bay. Cascading down the slopes, the sea of white here is only dispersed by vibrant pink flowers, blue domes and the brown of ancient windmills, all becoming black silhouettes as the sun sets.

Santorini Airport is on the other side of the island and 2 resorts south of it – Kamari and Perissa – have the best, black sand beaches. However, the most visually impressive is Red Beach at Akrotiri where the stunning red colour of the caldera and sand makes the trek down the rockface well worth it. Just time it right to avoid high tide! Also near Akrotiri are excavations of a Minoan era settlement.

    The location of the hotel with a view of the Caldera is extremely excellent. Picturesque and amazing views from the rooms! Responsive, polite, attentive excellent staff, both at the reception, and in the restaurant and throughout the hotel. They meet with a smile and offer cool drinks to quench their thirst. They help in solving any issues. The rooms are spacious, bright and clean. The bathrooms are clean and have very nice and high-quality hygiene and body care products! Breakfasts are very tasty and filling! Thank the chef! Also, all hotel guests receive a compliment from the hotel (delicious drinks). There is an opportunity to order a dinner, and even a romantic one, in the room or on the terrace of the new restaurant with beautiful views of the sea, the island itself and the volcano, watching the incredible colors of the sunset!     We had a beatiful stay in the end of September. The room was exceptional, equipped with all that you need to make your stay unforgetable. Breakfast was delicious and if you wish it can be served in the room, but we preferred to have it at the restaurant because the view from it was amazing.     Fira is a great town full of varied shops and fantastic places to eat. It can be expensive so plan a little extra money for food though! There are plenty of things to do an see in the town and the public transport to other areas of the island are quite frequent and cheap. There are lots of steep inclines and stairs so keep that in mind, you'll be doing a lot of walking up hills

    Spectacular views !!!

    Spectacular views !!! were there for a family wedding which took most of our time so didn't have much time to discover the surroundings , but just the walk in the center with views of buildings, churches and cliffside villas was magnificent !

    We loved our accommodation at thousand stars and highly recommend it. Took a private highlight tour of the island which was amazing. Negatives on Kamari include swimming at the beach which was very hazardous when entering and leaving the water due to the lava levels underfoot. Also, being constantly hassled by the same people to take a massage.

    Glad I booked Imerovigli over Oia or Fira.

    Glad I booked Imerovigli over Oia or Fira. It was quieter, more affordable, has amazing views and walking distance to great restaurants. We ate at the White Lounge and La Moustache which were both fantastic. Also easily accessible from the road without too many steps. Highly recommend!

    Perissa is a great place to stay for holiday and workcation. There are multiple location to eat food and to stay and to be honest, the prices are probably the best on Santorini! I enjoyed my time here and would return anytime.

    A village with bakery, gyros place, souvenir shop & good sized mini market. Walkable to Fura though a noisy main road. Buses good too but more value for money the further you are going. Taxis quite expensive so we walked a lot.

    Lovely village but getting very busy.

    Lovely village but getting very busy. Restaurants were excellent and staff in them very polite and attentive. Greece is not cheap these days so you have to pay the same as in UK for meals etc. Wine is very expensive but nice to see that they only sell Greek wine in supermarkets and restaurants.

    If you visit Santorini, don’t miss this village: authentic, charming, and far less crowded than other areas. It’s home to some of the island’s best restaurants and still keeps the true Greek atmosphere. For me, it’s the most special place in Santorini

    Best location in Santorini you can get just in the the heart right in between Thira and Imerovigli - 10-15mins walk in both directions. Beautiful and relaxing town with everything you could ask for and still without the noise from clubs until late night like in Thira! Firostefani simply is a must to pick!

    the location is not what it seams, it is just between the main road and other construction sites or empty fields, with no nice view. Overrated prices on booking.com compared with the reception prices or any other nice hotels even in Oia.
