- From US$55.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 164 reviewsBeautiful room, very spacious with a cute balcony, small kitchenette (which we actually used as there was a storm one of the nights we stayed over and we couldn't go outside) and of course air-con. The hotel is very close to a bakery (ideal for breakfast and lunch sandwiches), supermarket and many restaurants (highly recommend visiting Andreas' Family-Askeli Poros best food we had in Poros). It is also close to the best beach in Poros (in my opinion) called Monastiri Beach, there are other ones nearby too but the best one is definitely Monastiri. The hotel swimming pool wasn't working so we didn't have the chance to visit. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend staying here, the facilities were great and there were so many things around to do without having to go the ''centre'' of Poros that was much busier. - From US$151.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 854 reviewsThis hotel is our all time favorite in the whole world and it is actually just difficult to describe all the reasons with the right words but the vibe here is extraordinary and all of the staff are so nice and helpful. First of all you have the friendly and comfortable athmosphere. The breakfast in the restaurant is really delicious and the restaurant offers really high quality food at relatively low price. Clean, extremely beautiful hotel and surroundings just wonderful right at beach and the seaside in Skala, Agistri where the sea is crystal clear. We really love the friendly atmosphere in Aktaion Botique hotel and not to forget theyr’e cute dog Luna and the Parrots Coco and Dodo who are also providing for a family friendly athmosphere. For us this is just like a little paradise away from home and we will absolutely be coming back (hopefully) every year.Guest review byKristjanaIceland
- From US$116.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 882 reviewsEverything was exceptional . The room unexpectedly was a great size with a balcony that had a side view of the beach. The breakfast had a great variety of things to choose from, eg. eggs cooked 3 ways, pastries, fresh fruit, and all fresh and tasty. On the last day, the island lost power, but they still managed to feed the entire hotel with no fuss. The standout though is the staff, especially Werner, who is so friendly and helpful. Immi was amazing as well, always running around making guests stay comfortable. The lady at the bar was awesome, along with the whole cleaning crew. Would definitely be my choice to stay when we come back.Guest review byKathyAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 258 reviewsThis hotel is a little oasis; the staff are exceptional, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere and the access to the platform for chilling and swimming. The restaurant was excellent, with authentic fresh Greek dishes that were very reasonably priced. The location is ideal and just a short stroll away from the port and a wide variety of restaurants and tavernas. We look forward to a return to this hotel.Guest review byrichardIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 492 reviewsThis hotel is beautiful- so authentic, full of lovely original pieces of furniture. Even the windows have either been restored or have been replaced either new ones that look like the original ones with the original clasps put back on. The hosts and staff are so helpful and friendly. It’s a very close and easy walk to the port. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back- thank you!Guest review byGeorginaIreland

The entry is a bit odd as it’s next to a pet shop but once upstairs you have a fantastic apartment that is close to Port and easy to get to with bags. I loved the views to the clock tower from balcony, views to the square and hills from living-room and hearing the town wake up each morning. Very neat and clean. Excellent experience and host extremely helpful and responsive.Guest review byRobertAustralia - 8.0
This is a beautiful island. The sea is warm and inviting.
This is a beautiful island. The sea is warm and inviting. The beaches, although there is some sand, are very stony, and beach shoes are recommended. We went on a boat trip to navigate the island, taking a route that circled the entire island. It was a small boat and we were driving it ourselves. The day was slightly windy, and the sea we didn't realise was quite rough once you moved away from the beach. We only lasted one hour of the four-hour trip booked. It would have been better to have been warned that the sea would be rough, as we would have chosen another day for our trip. There are many boats, including sailing, charter, and private vessels, visiting Poros, making the port very busy. The boats were fascinating to watch. There are numerous excellent tavernas, and they are not expensive. They serve a variety of local dishes, including fresh seafood and traditional Greek cuisine. The boat transfer from Athens takes only one hour, and the ferry operator is very prompt. I recommend a visit to Poros.Guest review bySandraUnited Kingdom - 10.0

You need to find time to discover the island and walk through all the little streets. I don't necessarily recommend a walking tour of the island, like we did, but with enough water and the right shoes, it can be a pleasant adventure.Guest review byIuliaRomania - 10.0

a lovely quiet little villiabge, hugging the coastline with spectacular sunsets and beaches. Plenty of options for food and refreshments, and some shops for holiday essentials. Easy drive to the end of the island (Only really one road) to beautiful beaches with beach bars and loungers and easy parking. Skala has a jetty catering for the various ferries plus visiting yachts. the beach is great for swimming - soft white sand, with no rocks or weeds, shelving very slowly.Guest review byjasonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed in the very comfortable harbor area of Aegina Town. Just a 40-minute ferry from Athens' Pireaus port. Ancient sites to visit. Lots of harbor restaurants for beverages and dining. A relaxing way to settle in from international travel before our extended tour of Athens and the Peloponnese tour. Would have been a great wind-down stay afterward too.Guest review byPaulUnited States - 8.0

The beach is the longest sandy beach on Aegina which is predominately lovely sand there are some mixed stones and sand at the far but nothing to bad. The water is shallow and mainly calm wit a big sand bar a few meters out I would say very safe for children The sunbed range in quality and price ranging from 20 euros a set with parasol to 12 euros which obviously also is based on location and convenience to the beach bars and taverna's. Some beds are free if you spend money in the taverna's We loved the beach and clear warm warms that September bringsGuest review byMichael MawsonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad thing. It is more laid back. It has some good tavernas, bars and restaurants. The souvlaki at Theophilos is to die for. With a Greek salad and a small Carafe of wine , two Souvlakis 17 Euros. That's great. There us a,small beach near the small harbour. There is also a another beach slightly out of the town which in high season has sunbeds and a bar. Just a short walk.. Souvala has a good Supermarket Bakery and some other little shops too. Lovely little place. And 15 mins by taxi to.Aegina,Town .Guest review byRosalindUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Like mentioned, 17 days were too long.
Like mentioned, 17 days were too long. But with a car it made a difference. My daughters boys are not young children, they are super active 17 and 14 year old teenagers and the activities my daughter and them did around the island is mindboggling. Snorkeling, scuba diving, renting bikes going all over the island. Climbing the highest point in Moni Island and jumping off cliffs. I am sure they know the island better then a lot of locals. We live in Cape Town, SA and are spoiled by unbelievable scenery, so its often hard not to compare. The time of year we chose was great. Warm nights, hot days and the water amazingly warm.Guest review byAnonymous
