This place is amazing! The hotel sits atop a hill and has different levels that cascade down to the water below. The view from my room was breathtaking. Very clean, very friendly and attentive staff, good drinks and food and different areas to relax, always with ocean in sight. I spent my says on a lounger next to ocean and could dip in when hot. Definitely returning here !

Everything was wonderful! All our thanks to Giota who gives her guests everything they want. The room had a very nice view of the sea, the cleaning was done daily, with a lot of attention. We really liked the daily surprises at breakfast: warm pastries, made by the host. Giota is the host who welcomes you with a smile on his face and is always ready to help guests. Thanks Giota! We will definitely be back!

This hotel is our all time favorite in the whole world and it is actually just difficult to describe all the reasons with the right words but the vibe here is extraordinary and all of the staff are so nice and helpful. First of all you have the friendly and comfortable athmosphere. The breakfast in the restaurant is really delicious and the restaurant offers really high quality food at relatively low price. Clean, extremely beautiful hotel and surroundings just wonderful right at beach and the seaside in Skala, Agistri where the sea is crystal clear. We really love the friendly atmosphere in Aktaion Botique hotel and not to forget theyr’e cute dog Luna and the Parrots Coco and Dodo who are also providing for a family friendly athmosphere. For us this is just like a little paradise away from home and we will absolutely be coming back (hopefully) every year.

Despite the hotel rates as a 2 star, it was immaculately clean and tidy. The location was very good being just a short walk to the lovely beach approx 3 minute walk, on the beach there was nice restaurants where they did amazing seafood, this was recommended by the hotel. The hotel is a family run hotel who literally would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. They cared so much and wanted to give as much information as possible. The breakfast was simple but very nice, they had homemade cakes which were very tasty. I would happily recommend this hotel. If I were to return to the island I would definitely book with them again.

The staffs were excellent, preparing everything needed for us to be calm and comfortable. Unfortunately, we lost our room keys and they kindly didn't charge us and didn't make it a bad memory for us. They provided spare key for us and searched for the key themselves but unfortunately wasn't succesful. We recommend this accomodation to everyone and we will visit again definitely.

Beautiful room, very spacious with a cute balcony, small kitchenette (which we actually used as there was a storm one of the nights we stayed over and we couldn't go outside) and of course air-con. The hotel is very close to a bakery (ideal for breakfast and lunch sandwiches), supermarket and many restaurants (highly recommend visiting Andreas' Family-Askeli Poros best food we had in Poros). It is also close to the best beach in Poros (in my opinion) called Monastiri Beach, there are other ones nearby too but the best one is definitely Monastiri. The hotel swimming pool wasn't working so we didn't have the chance to visit. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend staying here, the facilities were great and there were so many things around to do without having to go the ''centre'' of Poros that was much busier. Everything was exceptional . The room unexpectedly was a great size with a balcony that had a side view of the beach. The breakfast had a great variety of things to choose from, eg. eggs cooked 3 ways, pastries, fresh fruit, and all fresh and tasty. On the last day, the island lost power, but they still managed to feed the entire hotel with no fuss. The standout though is the staff, especially Werner, who is so friendly and helpful. Immi was amazing as well, always running around making guests stay comfortable. The lady at the bar was awesome, along with the whole cleaning crew. Would definitely be my choice to stay when we come back.

This hotel is a little oasis; the staff are exceptional, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere and the access to the platform for chilling and swimming. The restaurant was excellent, with authentic fresh Greek dishes that were very reasonably priced. The entry is a bit odd as it’s next to a pet shop but once upstairs you have a fantastic apartment that is close to Port and easy to get to with bags. I loved the views to the clock tower from balcony, views to the square and hills from living-room and hearing the town wake up each morning. Very neat and clean. Excellent experience and host extremely helpful and responsive.

This is a beautiful island. The sea is warm and inviting.

This is a beautiful island. The sea is warm and inviting. The beaches, although there is some sand, are very stony, and beach shoes are recommended. We went on a boat trip to navigate the island, taking a route that circled the entire island. It was a small boat and we were driving it ourselves. The day was slightly windy, and the sea we didn't realise was quite rough once you moved away from the beach. We only lasted one hour of the four-hour trip booked. It would have been better to have been warned that the sea would be rough, as we would have chosen another day for our trip. There are many boats, including sailing, charter, and private vessels, visiting Poros, making the port very busy. The boats were fascinating to watch. There are numerous excellent tavernas, and they are not expensive. They serve a variety of local dishes, including fresh seafood and traditional Greek cuisine. The boat transfer from Athens takes only one hour, and the ferry operator is very prompt. I recommend a visit to Poros.

You need to find time to discover the island and walk through all the little streets. I don't necessarily recommend a walking tour of the island, like we did, but with enough water and the right shoes, it can be a pleasant adventure.

a lovely quiet little villiabge, hugging the coastline with spectacular sunsets and beaches. Plenty of options for food and refreshments, and some shops for holiday essentials. Easy drive to the end of the island (Only really one road) to beautiful beaches with beach bars and loungers and easy parking. Skala has a jetty catering for the various ferries plus visiting yachts. the beach is great for swimming - soft white sand, with no rocks or weeds, shelving very slowly.

We stayed in the very comfortable harbor area of Aegina Town. Just a 40-minute ferry from Athens' Pireaus port. Ancient sites to visit. Lots of harbor restaurants for beverages and dining. A relaxing way to settle in from international travel before our extended tour of Athens and the Peloponnese tour. Would have been a great wind-down stay afterward too.

The beach is the longest sandy beach on Aegina which is predominately lovely sand there are some mixed stones and sand at the far but nothing to bad. The water is shallow and mainly calm wit a big sand bar a few meters out I would say very safe for children The sunbed range in quality and price ranging from 20 euros a set with parasol to 12 euros which obviously also is based on location and convenience to the beach bars and taverna's. Some beds are free if you spend money in the taverna's We loved the beach and clear warm warms that September brings

A small quiet village to spend some time away from Athens and large crowds. There are many restaurant at the marina and some grocery stores within walking distance for any food and supplies you may need.

it's the less turistic village in Agistri, and that's why it's perfect I recomand taking a day boat ride with christos and going to the live music nights in the yacht club in milos hotel.

Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad thing. It is more laid back. It has some good tavernas, bars and restaurants. The souvlaki at Theophilos is to die for. With a Greek salad and a small Carafe of wine , two Souvlakis 17 Euros. That's great. There us a,small beach near the small harbour. There is also a another beach slightly out of the town which in high season has sunbeds and a bar. Just a short walk.. Souvala has a good Supermarket Bakery and some other little shops too. Lovely little place. And 15 mins by taxi to.Aegina,Town .

Like mentioned, 17 days were too long.

Like mentioned, 17 days were too long. But with a car it made a difference. My daughters boys are not young children, they are super active 17 and 14 year old teenagers and the activities my daughter and them did around the island is mindboggling. Snorkeling, scuba diving, renting bikes going all over the island. Climbing the highest point in Moni Island and jumping off cliffs. I am sure they know the island better then a lot of locals. We live in Cape Town, SA and are spoiled by unbelievable scenery, so its often hard not to compare. The time of year we chose was great. Warm nights, hot days and the water amazingly warm.
