Got to say that we feel very lucky to have stumbled upon this place!!! Not too far from the town Center but at the right spot located next to a restaurant with a bus stop across the street and a foot path leading to a beach, the beach is not the best in the island but it’s very convenient and nice to have next to you for a quick swim. The hosts have been wonderful, very kind and helpful, our room was beautiful better than we expected it, with a jacuzzi, very fast internet a thing that we needed it as we are both freelancers! We totally recommend it!!

We have been in Skiathos a few times, this was so far our favourite accomodation. We especially liked the location, close enough to town to walk there (c. 25 minutes to centre with some steeper bits - some general fitness required) while at the same time situated in a very 'green' area and with stunning sea view. Super-friendly staff. Our room with jaccuzi was spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast was very good with great selection.

The staff were absolutely amazing – warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Their service made the experience even more enjoyable. Huge shout out to Anthi (Άνθη) who went above & beyond to make us as comfy as possible, she made our holiday even more memorable.Highly recommend! Skiathos is awesome, small, very lush, with plenty of excellent beaches, very friendly locals and impressive cuisine (sometimes unfortunately toned down a bit to meet the taste of the tourists; look for places a bit off the main throughfares). The only issue is that it gets very crowded and there are a lot of obnoxious and loud British, who seem to think that they own the place. Visiting the Monastery of Evangelistria is a must (the aforementioned British are excused from this). Local honey and wine are exquisite (for the latter, refer to the wine list in the restaurant). The hotel is very close to Koukounaries Beach (5 mins walk, downhill - uphill on the way back...), which is beautiful, but quite noisy and crowded, especially in the early afternoon, when the water taxis bring in hordes of tourists from the city. Banana Beach is supposed to be very nice, but has all but been taken over by the nearby luxury hotel, could not find a way there. Best bet is to rent a car and visit the genuinely awesome secluded beaches on the western/northern shore, accessible via a dirt road (watch out for people, who do have a quad, but not common sense). Note that there are only a few understocked and overpriced shops and small choice of restaurants in the area. For shopping groceries, rent a car and head to one of the Sklavenitis shops (biggest one is next to the airport). The hotel itself comprises of several small buildings scattered around in a beautifully kept garden, rooms are nice and spacious. The swimming pool is quite small, but there is no reason why anyone would spend any time there with all the awesome beaches around. The staff are very professional, helpful and kind. As regards breakfast: this is one of the rare cases when "excellent" is right on point.

Gorgeous Boutique style hotel perched in the mountain. Lovey decor and feel to the hotel. Friendly helpful staff. The suite was lovely and well equipped. Breakfast on a lovely patio with gorgeous views was very good with options to choose from . So relaxing with beautiful views from pool area.

    Skiathos is was one of the most beautiful places I have visited. We have already looked at going again next year. The island is easy to get around, there are an abundance of restaurant's and bars. The bus's are so easy and cheap to use, so getting to the beaches and around is so easy. Hiring a quad is a must.

    This is a spacious and well thought out property . Gorgeous interior and everything thought about from the use of space , seating area/breakfast bar and kitchen with a really large balcony. The bed is very big and extremely comfortable, if I had one criticism it would be that I could hear our neighbours shower or use of their hairdryer but this was only something minor. Excellent property and value for money in a beautiful location , 10 min walk into Skiathos town but if you don’t fancy the walk some beautiful tavernas on your doorstop , would 100% stay again and recommend.

    This is a lovely, fairly quiet area which is exactly what we wanted. There are plenty of bars if you need them and very good bus services if you want to go further afield. The beaches are wonderful and everyone was super helpful and friendly.

    Koukounaries is really just a single (quite busy) road that runs behind a lake from one end of the Koukounaries beach to the other. The beach itself is fine golden sand with lots of facilities (loungers, boat and pedallo hire, bars and cafes), there is also public toilets in the centre of the beach ( a rarity in Greece) and is about 1km long. It gets very busy during the day. Access is easy as there is a regular bus from Skiathos town that stops along the road. There is also a Water Bus boat service from Skiathos town harbour ( cost E7 each way PO). There is also a car park at the Western end of the road but it does get filled up early. The main road is home to numerous bars, restaurants, hotels and apartment blocks and two small supermarkets. There is a small scruffy section in the centre of the road where there is a derelict hotel and apartment block that needs tidying up. For those who like there beaches more stripped back there is also 4 or 5 beaches on the northern section of the peninsula within a 20 or 30 minute walk from the road. You can walk along the shore of the lake but you cannot easily walk all around because of thick vegetation at the eastern end.

    A lovely location, with a few beaches, tavernas and supermarkets within easy walking distance. The best beach close by is Kolios beach, but the charges for loungers are higher than other beaches, and the taverna is nothing special. Agia Paraskevi beach is sinilar. The best beach we found was Troulos, better loungers, better taverna.

    Achladies is a great place to stay.

    Achladies is a great place to stay. The beach is sandy and the sea warm and clear. Plenty of sunbeds. The Mojo bar is great for breakfast, lunch and drinks. Friendly and attentive staff. Water taxi is a great way to travel to and from Skiáthos town. Quick and reliable. Also enjoyed the nearby restaurants. Great food and friendly staff. The couple of supermarkets have all the basics needed. Also a regular bus route around the island.

    First of all this accommodation is far from being 5 stars.

    First of all this accommodation is far from being 5 stars. Rooms have not been renovated for years, the bathroom is so old and full of mold, needs an urgent upgrade. The hotel does not have a fitness, you have to go to another hotel if you want to use it. We booked a Suite with Sea View but upon arrival they told us it is no longer available and they give us another room for the first 3 days then we can move to the one we booked. Staff was very nice at first, but then they ignore us and not answering the phone or messages. Unfortunately, we had to leave 2 days earlier because of terrible news, my husband’s dad passed away. They didn't do anything to partially refund us. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs.

    This is an excellent hotel, where we have stayed overnight on a number of occasions. It gives terrific value: superb location, great food, comfortable rooms at a very good price. But what makes it truly outstanding is the friendliness and helpfulness of the people who run it. They always make us feel very welcome.

    Vibrant town full of bars and restaurants in tight , usually traffic free streets. Most of the traffic is mopeds, as many of the streets have steps from when it used to be donkey traffic. Food is not cheap, probably slightly dearer than the Uk, but there are some excellent restaurants that are only a touch dearer than the not so good. You just have to find them! Hire car is not required, as there is an excellent bus service, right from the airport. Max 3€ per trip The town is on a hill going up from the port, so expect to do some walking up steps if you want to see all of the town. No loud music that we came across which was good. Don’t be deterred by the Mamma Mia tours!😆
