Georgia from the Front Office Manager went way above and beyond to arrange a private Mama Mia tour when the boat tours wouldn’t go to the church due to wind. She is incredible and kind. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is extremely clean and has a beautiful beach and it is very walkable to the town.  You cannot go wrong with this hotel. Great value!

We loved our stay at Hotel Mato, our host Fofi was exceptionally kind, between her lovingly prepared breakfasts, housekeeping, and occasional greek lesson. The views from our room were something out of a movie and the hotel itself is in a prime location to explore and enjoy Skiathos town. Perfect place for one to have a wonderful stay coupled with an authentic Greek experience!

    We had the most wonderful summer vacation at Mandraki Hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The whole complex is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and designed with so much attention to detail. Everything was spotless, the rooms and facilities super clean, and the food was delicious throughout our stay. What stood out the most, however, was the hospitality of the staff. From day one, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. I would especially like to thank the entire restaurant team — every single day they greeted us with big smiles and such warmth, making each meal a joy. In today’s fast-paced and often stressful world, this kind of positivity and kindness truly makes a difference. Thank you to everyone at Mandraki Hotel for making our stay extraordinary. We left with beautiful memories.

    Lovely hotel with great staff and facilities. Easy walk to a fantastic beach. Travelling with teenagers so it was great for them to be able to come and go as they pleased. We ate really well at the local restaurants but it's also super easy to jump on the bus into Skiathos Town. You don't really need to hire a car if you are happy to stick to the south of the island. We were leaving on a late ferry so stayed by the pool for the last day and used the shower/changing facilities available.

    very pretty town great harbour plenty of boats restaurants everywhere never had a bad meal plenty of bars around harbour and a few tucked away in the side streets which are the best beware the day trips to skopelos can get very packed skiathos has many great beaches which can be reached by bus all within 40 minutes but these also can get packed out music wise the boats and harbour bars play far too much abba/mama mia music but i suppose thats what made the island famous

    This is a spacious and well thought out property . Gorgeous interior and everything thought about from the use of space , seating area/breakfast bar and kitchen with a really large balcony. The bed is very big and extremely comfortable, if I had one criticism it would be that I could hear our neighbours shower or use of their hairdryer but this was only something minor. Excellent property and value for money in a beautiful location , 10 min walk into Skiathos town but if you don’t fancy the walk some beautiful tavernas on your doorstop , would 100% stay again and recommend.

    This is a lovely, fairly quiet area which is exactly what we wanted. There are plenty of bars if you need them and very good bus services if you want to go further afield. The beaches are wonderful and everyone was super helpful and friendly.

    Troulos is about 20 minutes on the bus from the town. It has some nice restaurants nearby and a pleasant beach. We would recommend Infinity Blue restaurant which beautiful views and good food.     Koukounaries is really just a single (quite busy) road that runs behind a lake from one end of the Koukounaries beach to the other. The beach itself is fine golden sand with lots of facilities (loungers, boat and pedallo hire, bars and cafes), there is also public toilets in the centre of the beach ( a rarity in Greece) and is about 1km long. It gets very busy during the day. Access is easy as there is a regular bus from Skiathos town that stops along the road. There is also a Water Bus boat service from Skiathos town harbour ( cost E7 each way PO). There is also a car park at the Western end of the road but it does get filled up early. The main road is home to numerous bars, restaurants, hotels and apartment blocks and two small supermarkets. There is a small scruffy section in the centre of the road where there is a derelict hotel and apartment block that needs tidying up. For those who like there beaches more stripped back there is also 4 or 5 beaches on the northern section of the peninsula within a 20 or 30 minute walk from the road. You can walk along the shore of the lake but you cannot easily walk all around because of thick vegetation at the eastern end.

    A lovely location, with a few beaches, tavernas and supermarkets within easy walking distance. The best beach close by is Kolios beach, but the charges for loungers are higher than other beaches, and the taverna is nothing special. Agia Paraskevi beach is sinilar. The best beach we found was Troulos, better loungers, better taverna.

    Achladies beach is lovely sandy beach with a couple of bars and eateries, the octopus which has fav food and Mojo which is a local bar with food. There are sunbeds and you can get a water taxi to skiathos town and back every half hour. There is also a supermarket nearby and a bakery. The supermarket will deliver your goods of over 25 euros which is a great service. It also has water sports and is lovely for a swim

    First of all this accommodation is far from being 5 stars. Rooms have not been renovated for years, the bathroom is so old and full of mold, needs an urgent upgrade. The hotel does not have a fitness, you have to go to another hotel if you want to use it. We booked a Suite with Sea View but upon arrival they told us it is no longer available and they give us another room for the first 3 days then we can move to the one we booked. Staff was very nice at first, but then they ignore us and not answering the phone or messages. Unfortunately, we had to leave 2 days earlier because of terrible news, my husband’s dad passed away. They didn't do anything to partially refund us. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs.

    This is an excellent hotel, where we have stayed overnight on a number of occasions. It gives terrific value: superb location, great food, comfortable rooms at a very good price. But what makes it truly outstanding is the friendliness and helpfulness of the people who run it. They always make us feel very welcome.

    Skiathos town has something for everyone who like the Greek...

    Skiathos town has something for everyone who like the Greek way of life,it has plenty of lively bars and lots of restaurants with food tastes to satisfy anybody, only downside is Mama Mia has catapulted the island in to the stratosphere on tourist numbers and with that the prices have gone through the roof so prepare to pay for it
