I simply love the hospitality of this hotel that was represented by Sevasti. I had missed my ferry stop due to a mishap and unfortunately could
not stay for a prepaid night. However, Sevasti kindly understood and applied a credit for me to use for a future date. I am grateful for this genuine hospitality and consideration to travellers - I have not come across any other establishment that would even consider this! Upon being able to rebook, the hotel was fantastic located right by the dock with access to swimming and nearby beaches. Having an included breakfast on the patio overlooking the ocean in the morning was a lovely experience. I am most appreciative to Sevasti, Nick who kindly checked me in early, and the kind staff at this hotel who work hard to ensure everyone has the best experience for what Symi represents - thank-you!

Overall, everything was great! We really enjoyed the duration we stay in Kaminos. The hotel facilities were quite new and clean. They also informed us, we can use the pool and the bar of sister hotel across the street. Breakfast was tasty enough for starting the day. You can also order coffee from the bar, which was also good for us, as my wife is a coffeeholic. There was everything needed in the room including cutlery, dishes, hairdryer and even wine-opener. Thanks to Hotel staff, they welcomed us with great Greek Red Wine. Overall, we will definitely comeback and choose the room with spa-pool next time!

Exceptional stay! The apartment was gorgeous and we loved the location with great views to the harbor. Big thanks to the owner Panagiotis who made sure that our stay was unforgettable. He was extremely friendly and helpful and gave very useful recommendations. He also made sure that we have fresh bread, eggs, juice, coffee, etc. for breakfast. We will definitely visit again!

Amazing view (the picture is from my balcony). Located at the quieter part of Symi town, so no ships to block the view or restaurants playing loud music. Owners and staff were superbly friendly. Rooms have character and are clean. Fast internet (reached 100-200mbps at times). Also reasonably priced.

Extremely helpful staff, a lovely room with a sea view, and a well-served breakfast. The hotel supports sustainability by reducing plastic use, and they even provide a glass bottle you can refill at reception. The room was fresh and bright in white and baby blue tones.

Really comfortable and spacious accomodation in a great location, with all you need for your stay. Hosts were extremely welcome and helpful, also letting us check in really early - 4am (for which we will be always grateful!) Overall, a wonderful experience!

Charming little bay (main bay Gialos), quiet (late Sep/Oct),...
Charming little bay (main bay Gialos), quiet (late Sep/Oct), everything in a small area and worth either staying for a few days or just one night perhaps if you're based on Rhodes. It's a hike up those stairs, but Chorio I found to be the better place to eat and worth the trip for sure.
Boat taxis get you about the beaches from Gialos (PLEASE make sure you have protective water shoes!), and walking to Nimborio or Pedi is easy enough if it's not too hot. No need for taxis here.
Enjoy: super quality coffee, Mediterraneo and Nook, bumping into the same people time and again (if you like that ...), gin clear water (Kirtos actually quite a good little beach, nice staff), Nikolaos nice also, lovely backdrop for an early evening Negroni at Elpida and Porte. Niki's for a homemade, no frills dinner in the old town (worth the steps). Small community, generally lovely warm welcoming people.
Watch out for: beaches rocky, stony including St George, if you don't like seeing the same people every day this place is not for you :), SOME slightly disappointing restaurants on the harbour front (some very good, also). Weather changeable in late Sep/early Oct.
Definitely one for the romantic trip, some nice spots, not so much as a solo traveller in 20's/30's as the demographic is somewhat older. Pretty easy to get to from Rhodes; I actually would recommend an early arrival so as to grab a ferry same day and avoid Rhodes Town). Sebeco one worth the €20 e/w, book ahead.

I'd absolutely recommend symi it's a beautiful island ,stunning even. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to go for a few days not just a day boat trip from Rhodes. To fully appreciate this little island you really do need to spend at least one night this would allow you to at least be able to explore the old town above the harbour with its very steep and narrow lanes plus two or three excellent restaurants.Be aware that that the old town above the harbour is accessible via extremely steep stairways extremely steep.

Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village...
Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village on top of it. Beautiful beaches, scattered all around the island. Some of them reachable by bus, taxi or on foot, others are reachable by taxi boat.
Love Agios Nikolaos and fish tavern on it with fresh wild fish, love swimming from Agia Marina to small island with the little church there.
Of course, Agios Georgios is incredible place.
The island is not for mass tourism, of course the boats come during a day, but most of them are not staying overnight.
Some wildlife - spotted seal on the beach in Nimborio, and the other person saw turtles on Marathounda beach.
Excellent taverna Tholos, close to port, our long time favorite, also liked a lot Zoe and Kali strata in the village.
And for a Christian, it is a must to visit both Archangel Michael monasteries - Panormitis (newer) and Roukouniotis (older) with frescoes that date back to 15th century. Also, for an Orthodox a surprise visit to Sergii Sarovski church.
