Location next to Meteora, town size, great restaurants, friendliness of our hostess, Meteora-e- Bike Rental at Ianninon 4 near roundabout and square where we rented bikes first day for sunset tour and second day in our own to visit Monasteries. very pretty town great harbour plenty of boats restaurants everywhere never had a bad meal plenty of bars around harbour and a few tucked away in the side streets which are the best beware the day trips to skopelos can get very packed skiathos has many great beaches which can be reached by bus all within 40 minutes but these also can get packed out music wise the boats and harbour bars play far too much abba/mama mia music but i suppose thats what made the island famousGuest review bymichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A trip to the east coast of the peninsula is a must, thanks to passing and parking in beautiful villages built on the sides of the mountains, the road is in very good condition with twists and clear signage. A cruise along the remote beaches of the island with caves and refreshing swimming. You will enjoy the BEST coffee in all Greece no doubt and the food options are many and will satisfy all needs! Alonnissos has great beaches, excellent food (traditional and modern), nice weather and a few folklore and antiquities (mainly on the Ottoman period, while some underwater archaeological sites are developing right now). Very beautiful traditional Greek mountain village with small shops (local products) and few restaurants. Difficult to find parking in the center of the village, one public parking but it's very small. Easy to make road trips around Pelion area - go around if you have a car, this is one of the most beautiful regions in Greece (also in summer, not only winter). Some part of the roads (in Pelion area, not in Portaria) were destroyed in winter 2024 during storms. Unfortunately, they were still destroyed in July 2024. You can go around by car, roads are not closed, but needs a bit attention in many places and wouldn't recommend to drive at night (dark). Time from Portaria to beach (Agios Ioannis, Papa Nero) took from us abt 40 min so take your time. This is a spacious and well thought out property . Gorgeous interior and everything thought about from the use of space , seating area/breakfast bar and kitchen with a really large balcony. The bed is very big and extremely comfortable, if I had one criticism it would be that I could hear our neighbours shower or use of their hairdryer but this was only something minor. Excellent property and value for money in a beautiful location , 10 min walk into Skiathos town but if you don’t fancy the walk some beautiful tavernas on your doorstop , would 100% stay again and recommend.Guest review byLisaUnited Kingdom
