- From US$26.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 891 reviewsThe place is really beautiful, when you are there, you don’t feel like using internet, just do nothing or read a book, sometime swim in the river. It’s a wonderful place to recharge yourself. Once we arrived, we saw the place, we extend one more night. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, food was really good. Me and my husband had good chat with Tim (the owner), he is really funny and shared lots of interesting stories with us. We were a bit sad to leave this paradise, El Hotelito Perdido is one of our favorite place during the trip in Guatemala. Unforgettable experience…Guest review byHsiang TingUnited States
- From US$41.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 503 reviewsArriving by boat from Rio Dulce the boat dropped me off right at their pier and departing for Punta Gorda the boat picked me up at their pier. Nice and handy to town. But what made the stay exceptional was the owner Stuart, an American that has been there for decades and knows the area extremely well. Myself only speaking English, Stuart's help with immigration & booking the boat to take me to Belize was above and beyond any place I've stayed around the world.Guest review byRobertNew Zealand
- From US$23.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 802 reviewsLoved everything! The location hidden in the mangroves but only a short boat ride from town. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help. Food was great and very reasonably priced. Comfortable beds/rooms. Very serene atmosphere. The tour to Livingstone was well priced and fun! Free transfer to and from Rio Dulce on check in and out and free kayaks! For what you pay it's great value.Guest review byJosieAustralia
- From US$75.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 272 reviewsLovely lodge in the jungle. Suggestive location with rooms in the canals with crocodiles (don’t worry they wont eat you!). Rooms were perfect for being a lodge. A couple of nice activities are available such as a walk in the jungle and kayak in the lake. Most pleasant surprise was the food… simply extraordinary for a low price compared to Europe, and I’m quite picky usually as Italian.Guest review byFrancescoItaly

Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing.
Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing. If you want more night life...then probably best to stay in Livingston. If you are ever in Livingston, the best Tapado was at a small restaurant Restaurante Gabby!! Unforgettable!! El Viajero didn't come close in flavor, maybe we just went on a bad day. Must see Siete Altares, beautiful waterfalls and blue turquoise water. We never felt unsafe, it's a very tranquil place in Rio Dulce.Guest review byNoemiUnited States - 10.0
Loved Livibgston.
Loved Livibgston. It has a very chilled and relaxed vibe that's very different to the rest of Guatemala. The locals are so warm and welcoming. We ate at local restaurants and sometimes local drummers came in and played which was great.very easy to get around. If you don't want to walk there's always a tuk tuk near by for only 50Q a person. The area is great for walking along the coast, kayaking, and enjoying different cultures.Guest review bysgibbyUnited Kingdom - 4.0

If you travel solo you can't do anything as it's just for groups else yours are in excess of £250! It's not safe to hike to seven altars alone (I was told by locals) so it's just very far for no reason. The bus from GC was supposed to be 5 hours but it was 11!Guest review byAndreaUnited Kingdom - 6.0
It should be a tourist hot spot in Guatemala.
It should be a tourist hot spot in Guatemala. Unfortunately the beaches are covered in trash. I wouldn’t recommend a visit to Livingston unless you’re passing through. If you happen to have some time in Livingston I recommend a trip to Playa Blanca and Siete Altares. The lancha to Playa Blanca only gives you an hour in Siete Altares so we went back the next day. Just take a tuktuk to the bridge and walk. It’s a great place to swim in cool fresh water in the jungle.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0

Unfortunately, I was there during the rainy season - day and night - rain. I would have stayed longer, but everything I had was damp or wet. Hostel is easily walkable from the lancha dock. Or you can take a tuc tuc for 10QGuest review byrosemaryCyprus
