We stayed for eight night and it was right.
We stayed for eight night and it was right. Planning each excursion and tour and other sight. We felt it just right. And really love the city. The Gastronomy is a beaut and the Karlivacko Radler was our favourite even the cakes and we ate at Buffet Fife. Wonderful place and the Marina is just great to watch. We just managed to find the way round with the help of Split map as a guide. We enjoyed all day sailing to the Solta island and stayed at Stomorska for lunch and swimming. Also to Mostar in Bosnia.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Beautiful city, but too crowded.
Beautiful city, but too crowded. Cruise ship groups and Game of Thrones tours obstruct the narrow streets, but worth persevering. Seemed expensive prices 10-30% up on what we found in Split on same trip. Cable car over priced at 30 euros. Wall similarly but is in pass and may be worth it if there long enough and want to use other locations covered by the pass. We saw much of the city, some hidden away by not going on the walls. Boat trip to Cavtat worthwhile to escape the hoards of people. If touring suggest you come here first and then move on and enjoy the islands and Split afterwards. Probably worth staying on outskirts and getting bus in as no car access to much of the city near the old town.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Zadar has so much to offer — from narrow, charming streets full of cafés and restaurants serving delicious food and good music (like Rock Caffe), to interesting interiors, lovely beaches, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and parks. There’s also a wide range of organized boat trips to national parks, public transportation (though often delayed), and ferry connections to Ugljan Island and beyond.Guest review byIwonaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Trogir is an absolute gem of an old town.
Trogir is an absolute gem of an old town. It has everything you could possibly want on holiday. Amazing architecture and history/scenic Riva and marina/excellent restaurants and shops. To top it all, about 15 minutes from Split airportGuest review byMaureenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Makarska is the capital of Makarska Riviera and has all...
Makarska is the capital of Makarska Riviera and has all required infrastructure with well-equipped beaches, rest areas, shops, transport connections and entertainment venues. Unfortunately, when we needed medical help and X-Ray inspection after getting trauma, we had to go to Split (State Hospital).Guest review byTimmerman - 10.0
Lovely atmosphere and very settled weather.
Lovely atmosphere and very settled weather. A variety of excursions and walks Swimming is nice but if you like sandy beaches then you need to wear waterproof shoes because the beach is stoney. Food is international but you can find Croatian dishes too.Guest review byGeoffUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Sibenik old town was worth the trip.
Sibenik old town was worth the trip. The old medieval buildings and narrow streets which look like polished from centuries walking over it. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants invite you to come in and have a rest.Guest review byKarinAustralia - 10.0
What a lovely place!
What a lovely place! Sitting on the promenade by the water and watching the boats go in and out was a holiday all on its own. Excellent places to eat and friendly staff at them. The Shell Museum was fascinating. The lady in charge told us about it and it is clear that she is a heroine who has devoted all her time to making sure it will succeed. I hope she gets a lot of support from local councillors and businesses. Saint Nicolas Church was beautiful and the four paintings around the altar were obviously by a highly-skilled painter. I wished there had been postcards of them to send to my family! The Racic Mausoleum was amazing and gave a beautiful view of the town. The only problem for some people would be the gradients: it is fun for young fit people to climb 50+ stairs to their destination, but not for us old people.Guest review byHilaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.Guest review byKrzysztofPoland - 10.0
A small, picturesque coastal town on the island Brač.
A small, picturesque coastal town on the island Brač. In this time of the year it is vibing with peaceful, non-intruding atmosphere, nothing short from a carefully selected movie scenery of a typical adriatic costal town.Guest review byVladimirSlovenia
