Breakfast was excellent and with a lot of variety. The calm music and view was super relaxing while eating. Stuff was very polite and friendly. Room was very comfortable and the bathroom just amazing with shower and separate bathtub! All was very clean. Spa, which we could use for free gave us excellent relaxation after a day of sightseeing and hiking around. All in all it was very pleasant stay which we will remember long.

Directly by the sea As we had a rental car and stayed for 4nights we prefered to stay in this area rather than in the old town of Dubrovnik Hotel is 25min walking, 5min ride to the port of Lapad, where cruises,ferries and boat excursion arrive and depart Via the boulevard a small walk to restaurants/bars Bus line behind hotel on the main road.     We loved the view from our room. The staff was super helpful and polite. There are two bus lines near the hotel to go to the Dubrovnik Old Town (Pile Gate). Good breakfast options. There are stairs from the hotel down to Gruz area - I counted 525 stairs but this was more fun than I thought 😄

    It's just a wonderful old city with lots of interesting...

    It's just a wonderful old city with lots of interesting places the wall walk was great even with a walking stick. Outside the walls would recommend the tuk tuk trip, got to see the area around it, buy the pass for 1 or 3 days for buses and wall. Also the ferries from city harbour were good. The restaurants were everywhere inside and out, we had some lovely meals.

    Cavtat was a relatively quiet little town with beautiful views across the bay and a good range of restaurants, most reasonably priced. A good base for seeing Dubrovnik, with its spectacular medieval old town and city walls next to the sea, along with a few other islands. There was an interesting mausoleum and some cute little churches in Cavtat itself, along with a shell museum and a couple of places which did evening concerts during the summer.

    We used Mlini for a night before flying out of Dubrovnik Airport. We started our Croatia holiday in Split, then did a Bike and Boat through the islands, ending up in Dubrovnik. Seeing how far Dubrovnik is from the airport, I sought closer accommodations, and it was a quick 10 minutes in the early morning when our driver picked us up at 5:40 a.m. After being there, for one day, I wish I could have spent several days there just relaxing!

    The Arboretum Trsteno was an interesting place, a respite from the heat. It was cool in the trees. Game of Thrones episodes are filmed at the fountain! But there is no cafe, only a vending machine. Walking down to the sea for a swim was worth it, but you need sturdy footwear, water and snacks.

    It was very quiet, which I liked but I went with my daughter (22). There was not much happening in Slano. I think it's more for retirement aged people. Supermarkets were dreadful Picturesque though and the sea was so clean

    Zaton is 15min from crowded Dubrovnick, just a right amount...

    Zaton is 15min from crowded Dubrovnick, just a right amount of driving on a very nice coastal road to reach the city center. The bay is so peacefull with only a couple of nice seafood and italian restaurants all "pied dans l'eau" Just sip some wine, in the water or on the decks and enjoy the sunrise, the sunset and the moonrise, between water boats and a mountain.

    Lopud is a lovely island with no cars.

    Lopud is a lovely island with no cars. Ideal for a holiday where you want to chill and visit other islands. The restaurants are lovely and locals very friendly. Wonderful sunsets and scenery. The sea is warm and crystal clear. Close to Dubrovnik and facilities should you wish to explore elsewhere.

    It a really nice little town.

    It a really nice little town. It's quite small but that means it's very quiet compared to the rest of Croatia. However, there are other tourists there, so everyone could speak English and were fairly nice to foreigners. The best thing about the town apart from the quietness is its nature and beauty. The town itself looks quite nice with very cool little houses, but it's in a bay of crystal clear blue water which is very warm. There's a couple small islands which are possible to swim out to and provides a great view of everything. Most accommodation in or around Molunat has essentially waterfront access and potentially a nice little platform that can serve as your own little semi-private beach. Some issues is that there is only a small store in the town. It's open until 10pm but it may not have quite everything and some of the prices are quire expensive. Also, to get to the town you have to either drive, take a taxi or take a bus. The bus to/from Dubrovnik or the airport is quite cheap but only runs about 2 or 3 times a day. The last downside is in the shallow water there are lots of sea urchins on the rocks. They aren't the worst to avoid if you have goggles on but it might be worth bringing some water shoes if you want to be extra careful. Overall I would sat that Molunat is a great spot if you want to chill by the water in a lovely little town away from the hustle of more well known spots.

    It is stunningly beautiful, we visited at the end of September expecting it to be less busy however there were literally thousands of cruise ship passengers doing tours all day. I think if I were to return it would have to be very early in the season or maybe even November!! We ate at a recommended restaurant just outside the Pile Gate called Dubravka, the food & service were very good & the price reasonable & the view was lovely. They were very knowledgeable about Coeliac Disease which was appreciated.
