SwitzerlandGreat little treasure that we discovered on our way back home in Switzerland. We spent only one night to rest from a long drive and enjoyed very comfortable and spacey room. It had shampoo and conditioner from Rituals brand, which we thought was quite a luxurious touch! The hotel is in a walking distance to the center of the city that offers great shopping possibilities, numerous cafes and a great bakery. We highly recommend this hotel!!

The room was lovely and had everything we needed, and the mezzanine floor was great for the kids (steep stairs though so better for older children). Very new, clean and well maintained. We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice.
We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice. We booked our tickets a day before for 7am. I'm glad we went early as from 9am the park was very busy. We used entrance 2, for a longer walk (but not the longest), it was very good until we reached entrance 1 (by small ferry) which was extremely busy. You really need several days to visit what that place has to offer. Don’t miss the Spelaton center and Barać caves. We been on Barac Traill race and the organizers really do the best of them. This town is very close to Plitvice and a great place to stay for less money than the official Plitvice hotels. There are a couple of restaurants in town, Restoran Degenija serves delicious food, a bit upscale, though not too expensive. A beautiful small town at the foot of the Klek mountain with numerous natural and cultural-historical attractions and sights that can be discovered during a pleasant walk. The location itself is small place following the main road to the sea. But the location is also very close to all the local attractions such as Plitvice national park, Baraceve spilje, Deer Valley etc. It offers many possibilities for hiking, cycling, walking in the wild or take longer trips to locations some distance away. It was completely ok for us, as we went by car to other attractions, but everything was near our hotel. The nature is amazing, people are very helpful and friendly. Excellent!Guest review byP - 10.0

Near Plitvice Lakes, quiet area, but near many local restaurants and supermarkets. Restaurant of choice was GRAND LAKES RESTAURANT, Plitvicka Jezera. Wonderful food and friendly staff. We stayed here primarily to visit Plitvice national park but the area was beautiful, a complete contrast to the Croatian coastline. It felt very Austrian in influence with chalet style houses, lots of green countryside and flowers. It was also a lot cheaper to eat out and buy coffees/ice creams than on the coast. Plitvice was incredible (although v hot and busy in August). I would like to go back at a quieter time as there were long queues to get on the boats which was not ideal in the heat with children. Very nice town, with beautiful centre/ though at the moment there are a lot of reconstructions of the roads in the old town, as well as on some main buildings/. Very safe place to walk around even late in the evening. Concerts nearby Zorin dom, almost every evening.
