Such an amazing place! It’s off the beaten path so you have to be intentional about choosing a stay here. We were in the area for the Easter celebration in nearby Hokollö and chose to drive 30 minutes to this spot for the night. Thrilled to arrive and receive an upgrade to a suite for the stay. Beautiful facilities. We also took advantage of the jacuzzi and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was very nice! I recommend completely!!

We stayed at Csenger Vendégházak from July 16th to 18th, 2025, and it was a truly delightful experience. The property was beautifully maintained, cozy, and full of charm. The location was excellent—peaceful, yet close to nearby attractions. Our host, Mr. Chris, was incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind. He made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit, and his warm hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. I highly recommend Csenger Vendégházak to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. I’d love to return someday!

    It's quite, not many guests there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building itself and its interior decoration looks historical. old palace style building. the pool is not big. there is a big yard behind the hotel. nice environment. All in all, it's a quite place with a few guests, this is the place if you are looking for escaping from crowds and the society, and looking for some inner peace.

    Such a beautiful town!

    Such a beautiful town! Words cannot describe, it’s a place you just have to visit to experience its beauty. The serenity, the landscape is beyond stunning. I got lost in looking at all the beautiful trees and listening to all the birds. The people are all so friendly. I loved every second I spent here. The food is another level. It’s hard to choose which bakery and cake shop to eat from as there are so many. All of which are fresh and tasty. There are so many restaurants and smaller food /take away shops to choose from also. Salgótarján stole my heart for sure!

    The village was charming with cute shops and good...

    The village was charming with cute shops and good restaurants. The castle nearby was very nice as well and had a more medieval feeling compared to other Hungarian castles. There are hiking trails including a "Hand of God" statue on a hiking trail.

    Szécsény is a historic place. This was my third trip there.

    Szécsény is a historic place. This was my third trip there. The hotel personnel went out of their ways to help us, including guiding us to the hotel by car. The room was clean, with promptly working airconditioning during a bad heatwave. They have an atmospheric restaurant, and food is excellent.
