The breakfast and dinner offerings were great, considering you can eat both a la carte and from a buffet for breakfast. Dinner offers a variety of food that meets 5-star excellence. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Garden is excellent. Siofok is great city for families with good programs (Toyee Kalandpark-hashteggsiofok, wellness, cycling, etc). Balaton is wonderfull, mostly in pre-season.

We booked this small boutique villa last minute, and the price was so good we didn’t expect such amazing quality! The room was spotless, smelled lovely, and had a really nice design. The whole place has a relaxing vibe, with lots of trees and a pool. Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious. We were really impressed!

Room (29) was okay. Although the round bed was strange, but it was awesome. The heater was a bit too noisy, but nevertheless: OK. Sauna and spa: Awesome. OK, we had to turn the sauna ON, but c'mon: better to have. Breakfast: I prefer simple things. Have a decent choice, but fresh. We had that. The staff was exceptional. I had bias because the negative feedbacks, but I have not experienced those. Wifi: Good enough to work. Not good enough to stream a 4K movie. All in all: "Good" Parking: We used the public in front of the hotel. Was free, was fine. Restaurant (AMIGO): Well, it was not bad, but you need to request a voucher at the reception for the 10% extra. A positive point that coffee, tea, water is free of charge all day. I would give normally a 9, but the staff was amazing!

    The staff (receptionists, Zalán - the bell boy, the restaurant staff, the masseuse, the ladies at the café) were all super kind, polite and professionals. When I checked in, I asked for some information about the massage. The receptionist remembered my request and introduced the masseuse to me while I was at the café. In the evening, he still remembered my room number when we went to have dinner - exceptionally professional! The room was clean and comfortable, the spa was enjoyable and super clean! There are restaurants around the hotel, the town centre is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was amazing, we could choose from a big variety of dishes, and the coffee was amazing! We went there by car; the hotel has its own big car park, it's safe and only the hotel guests have access to it by using a card which opens the gate. There are different facilities for small children, the best is the bouncy inflatable castle. All in all, I can highly recommend this hotel to families, couples and solo travellers too.

    It’s a perfect place if you want to relax in a quiet environment. The garden is well maintained, the pool’s temperature was perfect. The rooms were clean, it had every basic equipment in the kitchen that we needed for a few days. There are some rules that the owner kindly asked us to follow and to respect the others who stayed at the property. The owner was nice, flexible with our groups arrival, and even gave us the keys in advance. If you looking for a place where you can relax for a great price, it’s perfect. Stores, beaches, train stations are in walking distance.

    Nice city, definitely suitable for a holiday. The center near the port is beautiful, well-kept. Around the road to the port there are many options to satisfy your thirst and hunger. There is also a smaller zoo, which is not large in size, but is largely contact-based, so it is an experience for children.

    Nice and serene place by the lake.

    Nice and serene place by the lake. A couple of restaurants by the lake, which was nice. People there don't speak english, but most know german. Traffic by the main road was pretty high, which made crossing quite a challange. Most of the shore is taken by private properties.

    My visit to Balatonfoldvar for the Balaton Sound music festival 2023 was a remarkable experience. The stunning landscapes of Balatonfoldvar and the beautiful Balaton Lake added an extra layer of magic to the festival. The picturesque views of the lake, surrounded by lush greenery, created a breathtaking backdrop for the incredible music performances.     Fonyód was reasonably clean and pleasant town. In places quite smelly, some houses need a bit of love and well kept houses have wildly diverse architecture, but generally the town feels safe and offers a lot of restarurants, ferry service, some water attractions and playgrounds for kids. Be aware though, very very few people (even young) speak foreign language there. What a difference in comparison to Györ in the North of Hungary, where everyone we met in the public areas spoke either English or German on a reasonable level. People are neither unfriendly, nor friendly; I fell like they just don't care about foreign tourists and mostly avoid communication due to a language barrier.

    Szantod is easily accessed from Budapest by train.

    Szantod is easily accessed from Budapest by train. From Szantod there is a ferry to Tihany, but stay in Szantod is much cheaper. The food in St. Christopher restaurant is excellent, there are many shops, icecream places in Szantod, but for a good 'langos', you need to go to the neighbouring villages. They can be reached by buses easily and with regular connection it is easy to get around.
