This was an amazing place to stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was down a gang (small street/alley way) which made it a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Breakfast was excellent and catered to my celiac/GF needs. Pool was always clean and refreshing. Excellent value. We were in Canggu for a wedding and ended up having 3 more couples move their accommodation to Amandaya. We would not hesitate to stay here again and in fact it would be our first choice.

Service staff were courteous and efficient and always wore a smile. Amenities were new and in good condition. Overall the resort was gorgeous and looked especially beautiful at night. Food choices were extensive, and room service was affordable. We were celebrating our honeymoon and the staff did their best to make our trip feel extra special. Overall 10/10 experience. Definitely will come back to stay again when I'm in Ubud. Special thanks to Ayu for making us feel so welcome at the resort.

I don’t know how many times we both said “I could live here” throughout our stay at Ikigai. It was absolutely wonderful. The team was an absolute dream! An Island Dream

    Wow! Kayon is absolutely incredible, the amazing photos represent exactly what you get! Three tiers of amazing pools, jacuzzis and views of the jungle. We had a private Villa and the room and amenities blew us away - indoor and outdoor shower, private pool, deck chairs etc as well as personal buttler. Great gym, excellent food and drinks and a special touch welcoming ceremony. The staff are just phenomenal and bend over backwards for you with nothing being to much to ask - a Massive thank you to Citra, Lia, Adi, Windy and Marta for all they did for us in making our stay so incredible. A must stay if in Ubud!

    At first, staying in the open bungalow felt a bit scary, but in the end it turned out to be absolutely perfect – a wonderful adventure and experience. The staff were 10/10, always available, extremely kind and honestly some of the best I have ever met. Everything was spotless clean and, most importantly, it felt completely safe. The pools were fantastic and the breakfast was simply amazing. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone – it’s something truly special!

Obviously like the rest of the reviews, take into consideration before booking that there is a considerable amount of stairs to do to get there, and there is no air con in the rooms.     There were so many activities there but many of them...

    There were so many activities there but many of them involved too many stairs to take part in - like the yoga. But they did have massage that came to your room which we took advantage of and because of the stairs, we did a LOT of room service. I recommend that Balinese dancing and dinner which was beautiful. We did get out but it wasn't every day, but since this was the relaxation part of our trip, we really didn't mind that much.

    Busy!

    Busy! Lots of restaurants and bars though, shops and massage, beauty places. Narrow pavements like much of Bali. Beach is lovely and wide, quite hard to swim but good for a dip and great for surf lessons.

    Nice and close to Nuanu, which definitely needs more than a day to see. Beautiful beach club and amazing light art installations. Got to hold a bat at Tanah Lot - but don’t get the Gado Gado from the restaurants there.

    Don book this hotel. The staff is horrible. The worst is the f&b manager . The hotel is operating without a GM and no one is bothered about guest experience. Don make a mistake staying here! Don waste money as it is the worst hotel for the rate one pays. No cutleries , staff not bothered, no replenishment , just horrible in summary !

    Parts were lovely and the cliffs around the temple were amazing but be prepared for lots of traffic (especially scooters) so it takes a while to get anywhere and the public bits are a bit grotty. Couple of amazing places to eat (eg Nourish) and plenty of lovely massage options - we went to Zahra. Highly recommend going to a sunset dance performance - absolutely amazing!

    lots of restaurants western and asian market stalls to buy souveneres shuttle bus to get around plenty of taxis and drivers bad - doing up all the pavements kilometers dug up and being worked on saw several people trip and fall very dangerous

    you can see it in 2 days pretty much. We did find some great little restaurants. Coco Penida and Tropiz. food and service were excellent. Penida is a must see but probably once every blue moon is enough

    friendly, charming, plenty to see, however seeing so much rubbish / trash lying about took away some of the 'shine'. Possibly the establishment of an organisation ?volunteer or ?commercial to recycle plastics (bottles) could certainly assist in recycling some of the plastics. There was one eating establishment which was doing it's very best to get the message across about limiting / recycling plastics!

    I love Legian, the beach is magic.

    I love Legian, the beach is magic. The western restaurants and cafes and shocking, food is rubbish, over priced, lazy staff. Filthy smokers never consider non smokers and feel it’s ok to smoke while people eat. They ruin this town

    Compared to most other tourist areas in Bali Nusa Dua and...

    Compared to most other tourist areas in Bali Nusa Dua and Benoa is a much quieter and layback location if that is what you are looking for. There are lots of nice restaurants within short walking distance to most hotels. It's not a great place for children because I'd say they'd get bored quickly, but then that's a bonus for those for us who like a quiet location.
