During our recent trip to Bandung, my family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Papandayan for two nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. The food was absolutely fantastic! The dining options were diverse, and each meal was a culinary delight. Whether it was the local delicacies or international dishes, the flavors were rich, and the presentation was impeccable. The breakfast buffet, in particular, was a highlight, offering a wide range of options that catered to every palate. As for the amenities, they were nothing short of luxurious. The rooms were spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with all the modern comforts one could ask for. The pool area was pristine and inviting, offering a perfect spot for relaxation amidst the tranquil surroundings. The Papandayan exceeded all our expectations, and we left with wonderful memories of our stay. Without a doubt, we will be returning to this gem of a hotel on our next visit to Bandung. Everything about our stay was wonderful, especially the staff. The hospitality was top-notch! My daughter received a teddy bear from the receptionist, which made her extremely happy as she exclaimed, "This is the best hotel ever!" The breakfast was exceptional, offering a variety of traditional Indonesian, Asian, and Western dishes. We were also greeted with a welcome message in our room. The accommodations were spacious enough to comfortably fit four adults. Overall, it was one of our best stays.

    The hospitality if people in Bekasi was really good.

    The hospitality if people in Bekasi was really good. I couldn't say much about the places because when I went there, everything was closed (Muslim holiday), but the Taman Mini Indonesia was really a good place to go if you want to know more about Indonesia. Food was great. I like the "Ayam Soto" that I had just around a street there. I only tried the street because restaurants were closed. It is easy to go around in Bekasi because there are motorcycles and cars that could be hired, such as: Gojek or Grab. Just have the application and book when you need to go somewhere. Hiking and going to the parks would be good activities that can be done in the place.

    Not much to see there.

    Not much to see there. The old Kasephuan palace is interesting and worth a one hour visit. Otherwise there is not much to see in the Cirebon. I saw very few international tourists. There are some good seafood restaurants, but that is not enough to justify the travel time and costs of a visit there.

    Very happy we made a detour to Pangandaran. The highlight is the green valley and canyon tour. You can also get a tour in the national park which is super nice and if you have time a surf lesson. We visited during the week so it was fairly quiet, lovely sunset and they had an event with live music and DJ on the beach. At the weekend we heard this place can get very busy with people from the city coming as well as the tourists there to surf and explore.

    The WHOOSH Speed Train was awesome fast, comfortable and gave us peace of mind traveling to Bandung. Travel from Halim (Jakarta) to Padalarang (Bandung vicinity) takes about 30 minutes at speeds up to 350 km/h. We recommend engaging a driver through Kiki Travel they were efficient and offered affordable rates, making the journey smooth and hassle-free to explore outside Bandung such as Lembang about 1hour from Bandung. Hygiene at this places is a major concerned cause they have to at least install a fly trap at the cafe and restaurant. Stunning view and nice location but lots of flies.

    We used to stay in Bogor (Sentul City), only the last 5 years I have been staying in Yogyakarta. It was nice to visit Bogor again to enjoy culinary that we missed so far. Bogor has changed as lot so far and worth to revisit.

    Bekasi is my home, everything is great in Bekasi, from the people, the food, and the shopping malls and the place is extremely strategic. You can get a train, bus, or Grab car or Grab motorbike. I would also recommend the minibus if you want to get the feeling of going around with 'Koasi'. It is easy to get food in Bekasi, from the roadside food to the food in a shopping mall. It is affordable and tasty. Since I know Bekasi very well, nothing to avoid, I just miss Bekasi so much.
