We parked the car and left it for 3 nights and walked or used buses / trams. Driving is slow and like many cities confusing for visitors. Dublin is quite expensive (over 30 euros for 4 drinks in a pub, 8+euros for a pint of Guinness) and eating out can add up quickly. Buses and trams a couple of euros per adult ride. The city centre is mostly walkable and some streets are traffic free anyway. Guinness Storehouse is very popular (surprise!) so book online for a timed entry before you go as it makes it easier to enter. We enjoyed it, about 2 hours or so and the included drink doesn't have to be Guinness, but it tastes good there. Book of Kells / Trinity College Library has timed entry tickets also and is also a couple of hours if you read a lot of the museum and Library info stuff. And you can walk around the College grounds. National Museum of Ireland maybe not worth the effort unless its contents are your specialism.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dun Laoghaire is a hip spot away from the huddle of the city Center. Great walking on the pier, waterfront and through the village. Some lovely restaurants and coffee shops . Breakfast at the Vanilla bean was lovely. The famous Forty Ft swimming spot is a short walk. Lots of quaint shops and vintage secondhand stores scattered along the Main Street . Good public transport on busses , trains and taxis . Aircoach to Dublin Airport from Marine rd opp City Hall. Market in the Peoples park is well worth a visit if you’re there over the weekend. Childrens fun fair on the waterfront runs daily from 12 noon till 7 pm . €3/ ride.Guest review byJenniferCanada - 6.0

It has a fantastic shopping centre with various food venues but are only a very small number of it closes at 9pm. In the area but here are only a very small number of eating places open in the evening. We were there for a business matter, I don't think it's particularly good for leisure in the evenings,Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great facilities locally.
Great facilities locally. Major shopping but hotel is off the beaten track and quiet. Great ambience and facilities without leaving. Traffic congestion for going into the city at rush hours exceptionally bad. Cinemas, Olympic size pool etc all nearby.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Well, it's an airport hangout. Room small but okay, Reception staff great. Restaurant staff needs serious training - 6 people (including 2 managerial types!) and tackling for service. Big problem. Not up to Crowne standards.Guest review byWandaCanada - 10.0

There is a Good CarPark, but if you don't have a Car, you can hire a GoCar, or get one of the Many Public Buses. Dublin bus has the 24hr E1 service from Bray to Ballymun, through the City Centre, using the Stillorgan Road or the E2 from Dun Laoire to Finglas. Aircoach stops right outside. S6 to Blackrock and Tallaght Square.Guest review byKarlw970Ireland - 10.0

Excellent day. €35 for entrance became €20 with my Seniors card. Thanks to the racecourse for this. Drink & food not exorbitant which I was half expecting so I was pleasantly surprised. We loved the seating to watch the racing where we did not have to pay any extra. A great day overall. I wish I could say the same for the nearby Clayton hotel where we were fleeced & got very poor quality. This will be an important factor if I decide to go again ( This was my first trip to Leopardstown races in over 40 years ). I generally go racing in the south of the country. Will see.Guest review byKelleherIreland
