This was an amazing hotel! Perfect location for our needs, right in town and next door to a fantastic pub "The Squealing Pig" where our event was taking place and not far from our family gathering in Rockcorry. (BTW the Squealing Pig was very accomodating to our very Vegan daughter and her infant son); The staff at the hotel was pleasant and accomodating. The breakfast was fantastic with a full menu of options The town has a nice mall and shopping options; we had our laundry done down the street and back the same day if you get it there early. The Monaghan Museum was fantastic (they are moving to a new location down the street. The restaurants were great and we especially were impressed with 'Eastern Balti House' with the best service and great food!

Genuinely the best booking.com experience I have ever had. Do not hesitate to book this accommodation. The b and b itself is in a great location with beautiful views. The rooms were a great size and very clean. There was at least 2 bathrooms as well as a kitchen, games room and a balcony area where my friend and I enjoyed our bottle of red wine on before our wedding. Our host PJ was lovely and very kind and helpful throughout our stay- including providing some great toast!! Look forward to be able to come back again and thank you again to PJ for being such a great host :)

Super value for money, warm welcome from the lovely host family, very comfortable beds, great shower, excellent breakfast, funny cats and lovely dog. Convenient location within walking distance along lake Muckno to the Main Street in Castleblaney with a selection of cafes, shops and bars. A 5min drive to the Restaurant “The View“ which has a stunning outlook over the lake and fantastic food. We would highly recommend staying here. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Breakfast was outstanding with lots of variety. Theresa was very accommodating and picked us up by car and shuttled us back and forth to Monaghan where we had scheduled a plant visit at CombiLift. We had a delightful time with her and the owner of the home where she is running the B&B. The view from our window overlooked the lake and we were overwhelmed by the beautiful landscape. We would highly recommend staying at this location if someone is looking for a unique experience. Nothing like Irish hospitality.

Wow, Elizabeth, you have a gem of a property located close to town with lovely surrounding countryside. We arrived extremely late at night and you were there to welcome us, as tired as we were, we could not have asked for a better welcome. We had a wonderful room with all amenities and bathroom needs waiting for us. A wonderful night's sleep was had on a very comfortable bed. On our two days stay Elizabeth prepared a very personal breakfast for us each morning that was to die for. We left well fed for the day. With nice grounds to sit out in the sunshine or the guests personal reading room, adequate on-site parking. We wished we could have stopped longer but we had to head off to a certain Golf tournament that was being held at Royal Portrush. We look forward to returning at the first opportunity. A hidden family-owned gem in an idyllic countryside setting. Once you enter the front door you are surrounded by warmth and comfort. FABULOUS dinner and breakfast. Menu was varied and creative. Rooms were homey and welcoming. Everything was easy. Great communication.
