However, the hotel immediately sensed that and upgraded me to their nicest room as a way to ensure that I at least had a comfortable end to a long and stressful day. I cannot underscore just how much I appreciated this simple act of acknowledgment of my mental state and the generous act of kindness in such a situation. It’s a 10 minute walk from the main train station/metro, so it’s incredibly easy to get here from the airport. The staff is super friendly; they have a 24/7 restaurant with excellent food and a balcony where you can enjoy your meal while looking down at the street. There’s also a tourist desk where you can book tours, exchange money and set up a sim card. Our room was quite spacious and it featured a fish tank! Great value for the money, highly recommend. A bit chaotic at times, but full of energy and culture that makes it unforgettable! What’s not to like from the magnificent buildings, heritage to fabulous shopping. The food is wonderful with every cuisine you could imagine. A truly Golobal City. Shopping in Connaught place is an experience. Please check which Bloch the shop you wish to visit is. Lodi Gardens are an absolute MUST and try some of the food vendors around and in the gardens. I love Delhi - Old Delhi has even more fabulous food and shops. The oldest Itar ( perfume) shop in India for example.
