- From $309.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,331 reviewsThe breakfast was absolutely fabulous, best I've had in a hotel in a very long time. Choices were great, loved that there was some very special local things like herring and cod liver oil available. Nice that they offered some prosecco, too. Delicious coffee. The decor was unique and interesting in a good way. The room was really spacious, the bathroom in particular. The room opened to a small terrace so we could easily go out and watch for Northern lights. The front desk, per our request, called us when they were visible. The person at check-in was SO kind and very helpful. The beds were incredibly comfy and the robes were a nice tough. Really nice toiletry products. Nice duo-head shower with good water pressure. At the spa area in the changing room was the most incredible massage chair! The location by the lake was so nice - felt woodsy and remote, even though we were not far at all from the city. It was a quick drive to Sky Lagoon where we headed in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again.Guest review byAprilGeorgia
- From $250.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,189 reviewsI liked self check-in possibility. Also I've got very quick answer from owner, about check-in instructions, by phone and via booking.com. Price was very good, especially comparing to other Iceland hotels, good breakfast was included as a present. Room spacious, beds comfortable, all clean. There was kettle in the room and some tea and coffee bags, nice. There are KFC and BONUS store nearby. Recommend this hotel!Guest review byMariaEstonia

The hotel was just a 5 to 10 min walk to the main shopping area, but also has restaurants, bars and a supermarket close by. Plenty of choice for everyone at the self service breakfast, from cold meats & cheeses, cerials, pastries and hot foodGuest review byLornaUnited Kingdom

The street shops are colorful and the city provides good vibes with many artistic architectures, sculptures and murals. The biggest shortcoming is the lack of working public WCs. We went to two locations shown on google map, the facilities were all closed and not working.Guest review byJuan - 8.0

Hafnarfjorthur was between Keflavic and Reykjavik making it quite handy and more affordable to stay at. We rented a car to tour the Golden Circle, enjoy the Blue Lagoon, and sightsee in Reykjavik and felt that was a good choice. We didn't sightsee in Hafnarfjorthur.Guest review byLynetteUnited States - 8.0

Great location if you are looking for accommodation as part of planning to do the Golden Circle. Circa 40-45 minute drive to Thinvellir. Grocery store nearby (sells good quality sushi) however only a few eating out options.Guest review byKarmaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.Guest review bysandraUnited States - 10.0

This is a place of unique, rugged beauty. The resort has wonderful accommodations to fit the needs of 2 people or a large group. The spa and bistro are just right for a group that wishes to enjoy the hot springs and enjoy a light meal together.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10.0

This is one of ,,those,, accommodations where you want to spend the night after a week full of traveling. It is clear that the owner has a sense of detail and quality. You can feel the quality on the materials and furnishings, the equipment of the entire apartment and the services that are here. Everything is still new, clean. Situated in a quiet location. We slept very well! Parking in front of the entrance, Accessibility anywhere is perfect. Since it is new here, the accommodation does not have any review and even though I usually do not write reviews, I think this one deserves one. For the price, it is exclusive accommodation and we will definitely come back here.Guest review byDaniel K.Slovakia - 8.0

Iceland is expensive, but Reykjavik is a great base location to explore the Golden Circle and the South Coast. The city is very walk-able and, if you choose your hotel correctly, very convenient for various tour and City buses. We spent two days touring and had time to visit the Reykjavik "sights" in 2 evenings and a couple hours the final day. A car is not necessary in the city and it looks like parking would be tight (and probably expensive).Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

We are use to very large rooms with kitchens in our hotel room. While we vacationed in Iceland we stayed at VRBO’s but we saw this unique hotel and had to stay here and experience it! Loved walking around the hotel and the use of hot tub and sauna !!!Guest review byronnieUnited States - 10.0

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.Guest review byMarciaUnited States
