Room is big and cozy. Big confortable bed and big windows. Cute little bathroom. Coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was very simple, was a little bit dissapointing. But overhall i enjoyed my stay. There few nice restaurants in the area and a nice bakery very close to the hotel. Short distance from Geosea!Guest review byMarciaIceland
- From US$179.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 486 reviewsThe location is very good. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are ok. Comfortables. I saw some comments regarding the rooms. People don’t say what is a guesthouse or they do not have the habit to travel. The decoration is very beautiful in the hall. I do recommend this hotel. Please book a table in the restaurante. The best tajine EVER. Bonus the jacuzzi. Love it ! :)Guest review byGustavoFrance
- From US$213.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,408 reviewsWhat a wonderful hotel. It's family run, and the proprietor Hildur is amazing! It has homely and cozy properties, much like a boutique guesthouse despite it's size. Great breakfast, bar at the lobby with some extremely friendly staff, a selection of hot tubs outside in the forest, and a nice lounge. I didn't want to leave at all, but rather just move in permanently!Guest review byJohanNetherlands

I go there many times per year, sometimes for errands, sometimes for days or weekends off. It's cute, it's cosy, wonderful cafeterias (and bakeries with great cafeterias), great restaurants, I love it. It's also very walkable if one is on vacation in town center.Guest review byHeimisdóttirIceland - 10.0
We visited all the famous sites
We visited all the famous sites The Thermal baths was great. A big area (and currently expanding). The restaurant there was very reasonably priced for Iceland. They made a great coffee. Food was good. Went to the geothermal site which was pretty amazing. We hiked up Hverfjall, theextinct volcano which was interesting. Went to Dentifoss and Selfoss which were very impressive We enjoyed our stay. Well worth a visitGuest review byLawsonAustralia - 8.0

Whale watching was awesome! An absolute must do when visiting Husavik. Dining options are good, but you might want to stay at a place with cooking facilities to improve options and affordability Definitely check out the local museum. Lovely property very cosy and warm. The surrounding areas are beautiful. The hot tub was perfect after a day of exploring. We made use of the cooking facilities for the week this was really handy. Perfect location for exploring the north.Guest review byJoshuaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
There wasn't a single thing wrong.
There wasn't a single thing wrong. From the place, to the location, the host, avaliable conveniences while being isolated to relax. The pool outside brings everything to an 11. Enjoying the warmth with the cold outside while gazing at the stars, just what the doctor ordered.Guest review byGenNetherlands - 8.0
My stay at the guesthouse was a bit of a mixed bag.
My stay at the guesthouse was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the self-check-in process was a breeze, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and the spaciousness of my room. The facilities, including the WiFi and kitchen, were top-notch, and I had no complaints on that front. However, there were a few quirks that left me feeling a bit unsure. The surrounding farm was somewhat peculiar, but I must admit that I'm not exactly an expert on farming, and I didn't book this place for its agricultural charm. The absence of any human interaction with the host was a tad disconcerting. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, and a friendly welcome or some local insights would have been appreciated. One noteworthy detail was the water quality, which had a distinct sulfur smell. While this might be normal for the area, it would have been helpful if the host had mentioned it beforehand. In summary, the guesthouse had fantastic facilities, but the lack of host interaction and the peculiar farm surroundings left me with mixed feelings. Plus, a heads-up about the unique water scent would have been a considerate touch. However, all in all, good to very good value for the money.Guest review byThomas - 10.0

We didn't have much time to spend here, however, just spending a couple of days at the hotel and walking around the area would be wonderful. It's a beautiful hotel and area to sit around and relax or soak in the hot tub admiring the amazing views. The museum and some restaurants were closed when I went in March. There is definitely more to do in the summer months.Guest review byMarieUnited States - 10.0

I was travelling for business, but was very pleasantly surprised by Akureyri - a very nice town with good facilities, great resturants and bars, and everything within walking distance. There seemed to be a lot of things to do for tourists, but I was working so couldn't take advantage of them this time. Very picturesque location at the bottom of a Fjord, much nicer location than Rekjavik. It's a bit of a pain to get to from Rekjavik area (flight by small plane, or 5 hr drive) but well worth it once you're there.Guest review byDouglasUnited Kingdom
