- From $528.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 606 reviewsWe loved everything about the Umi hotel. During our trip to Iceland we stayed in 10 different hotels while traveling around the island. The Umi hotel far exceeded our expectations and was far superior to the others hotels we stayed in. The hotel is ideally located for viewing the Northern Lights, offering an exceptional setting with minimal light pollution, which enhances the chances of seeing the aurora. After a long day of hiking and touring Iceland’s breathtaking countryside, the hotel provides all the comforts you could ask for. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, designed to make you feel at home while you unwind. The robes provided were soft and cozy combined with the luxury bath products gave us a spa feeling. The staff were friendly, professional, and very attentive. The hotel’s restaurant was fabulous, offering a breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, sure to satisfy every palate. Whether you’re looking for Icelandic specialties or international cuisine, the buffet has something for everyone. Dinner was perfection, with expertly prepared dishes that showcased local ingredients. From fresh seafood to farm-to-table offerings, each meal was a highlight of the stay.Guest review byRobinUnited States
- From $477.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 837 reviewsIsolated location with great facilities (geothermal pool and sauna looking out to the hills). The staff were accommodating with transferring us to their hotel in Reykjavik. Not only that, the hotel in Reykjavik messaged us on WhatsApp if there was an early check in available (which there was). They went above and beyond with our situation. If you are travelling in winter, make sure you have logistics organised or know how to drive in their tough conditions.Guest review byJamesAustralia
- From $285.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,367 reviewsThe beds were very comfortable. Complementary breakfast was very good with some vegtables and fruits and a good gluten free bread. Location is great. Just next to the town center. Receptionist was very nice. She loaned me an HDMI cable and made a resturant reservation. We got a room facing the street but the double windiws blocked the noise.Guest review byDafnaIsrael

The bar area has a super cool view — the perfect spot to drink tea or wine on a rainy day in a cozy atmosphere. Rooms are clean, the food is good, and overall I definitely recommend this hotel.Guest review byDmitryUnited Arab Emirates

Having to 'get around Ring Road' definitely has its drawbacks. The biggest one we found was when you found a great place, your time there was limited. We did stop for the Lava Show in Vik, which was great, and we had dinner there as well. There was not enough time to really see everything before having to move on.Guest review byAdams - 8.0

The waters and views of the glaciers viewed from a far are beautiful. Also some of the little food places reflect the cosiness of a working port. Quaint working port village. Worth a stop or basing yourself there to visit the surrounding geography.Guest review byBennettAustralia - 8.0

A small and quiet town between the capitol of Iceland and some of the main tourist sites. Right on the way to Skógafoss and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and Diamond Beach. There is a street food truck run by a nice man and woman. Definitely check it out!Guest review byAbdullahUnited States - 4.0

Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.Guest review byLinford - 10.0

A very nice town in the south of Iceland where you can find everything you need. Grocery store, gas station, souvenir shop, restaurants, etc. The town is cozy and quiet with many horses around. Recommended as a starting point for exploring Iceland.Guest review byMartinCzech Republic - 10.0

We loved how cozy this house was. We were able to cook and enjoy the beautiful views from every side of this house. It was close to glacier lagoon and a couple of nice restaurants. We went hiking up the mountain and watched the sheep. there is a lovely waterfall in the back as well. Loved our stay so muchGuest review byEmmanuel - 10.0
Great place in south of Iceland.
Great place in south of Iceland. The town of "flowers" is a good name for this place, as it is the warmest place in Iceland, where they grow flowers and enjoy life. It has the best swimming pool of the whole country, with an amazing "steam room" that is heated with steam straight from the vulcanic core of our planet.Guest review byJonastRussia - 10.0
