United StatesWe had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!

We loved how cozy this house was. We were able to cook and enjoy the beautiful views from every side of this house. It was close to glacier lagoon and a couple of nice restaurants. The guesthouse gave a accurate description of the area so we knew what services were there and not there and could plan ahead. We loved walking around and the sights and hikes that were nearby. It was so easy to get to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, and we could go back to see them at night too. Room okay for one night but unfortunately a little overpriced. The buffet style breakfast is very basic and offers little to none options for dietary needs. We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. Absolutely loved the variety of fresh, farm to table offerings, and homemade breads at breakfast. Dinner menu was extensive, meals were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the sea birds, and sheep in the pasture. Views of mountain and bay/ ocean were great. Very close to Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach. Peaceful. Staff were friendly.
