The location, the rooms and the view are amazing. Everyone was so welcoming and they are very friendly. Dogs are allowed and we felt amazing during our 2 nights. Breakfast is great, coffee is amazing and getting a drink while facing the mountains is a dream. Also, the location is close to Secenda trail.

Located in a very idyllic Sudtirolian village, with a backdrop peaceful green plains and impressive mountains. Very elaborate and tasty breakfast and well prepared regional food for dinner. We came for wine and were blown away by their infinite wine list full of European treasures. And let’s not forget to mention the beautiful wellness with great views from the sauna!     Lovely hotel about 15 mins walk to town. The Staff were excellent. We arrived the day before the Dolomiti bike festival and the roads were closed from 7am to 230pm. They assisted us in finding a beautiful hike that were were still able to do walking from the hotel and it was beautiful. The following day was the Feast of Corpus Christie/ Dormi and they drove us into town to attend mass and afterwards there was a procession around the village with many locals dressed in traditional costume and carrying the saint statue.. The breakfasts in particular were very good. San Cassiano nearby is a really pretty little town. The hotel was beautiful with lots of flowers and a restaurant and a bar. The pool and jacuzzi were free but you could pay for spa services

    The staff were excellent throughout, so attentive to detail and ready to answer questions. They made it a point to recognize me on my birthday during the stay and we were offered an upgraded room at check-in. There was also a huge variety of activities (guided hikes, welcome happy hour, e-bike tours, lunch BBQ, yoga classes, etc.) throughout the week available to guests which offered a nice option if every day wasn't already planned out. Finally, the breadth and quality of the amenities (sun lounging options, pool [indoor + outdoor], sauna, and spa) were all top-notch and very well maintained.

    Staff treatment was exceptional! Went above and beyond with advises and services. Supplied us with extra food when we asked and packed us breakfast as we departed to the airport early, Hotel location and services are ideal for ski vacation in the area, Room was excellent as we needed to cook (with electric stove and not a conductive one) as well as fridge. Pool and SPA are just right to complete the experience. Thanks so much!

    Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It was in a great location, just a short walk from the slopes, and the facilities, including the ski room and wellness centre, were all excellent. The food was also a real highlight with a fantastic breakfast buffet and daily changing menu. Full board was good value for money.

    The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Our room was two stories connected by a very narrow winding staircase which the kids loved but wouldn't be great for a person with less than full mobility. I'm sure there are other rooms but just something to be aware of.

    Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area.

    Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area. It is much higher and cooler than Bolzano. It is much smaller and easier to navigate than Cortina. It has access to very easy alpine meadow trails and more challenging rocky places above the tree line.

    Colfosco is great for the views.

    Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries. The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites. While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.

    San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area of the Dolomites. You are surrounded by the start of some great hiking trails and they are easy to access. It's a smaller village located closer to the Falzarego Pass and the Piz Sorega Cable Car. There are PLENTY of trails to find yourself on here. If you are staying at a local inn, make sure to try local ladin dishes and ask about the local dialect! You won't regret it. For solo female travelers the area is perfect, as I personally felt safe on the trails. Locals are friendly and you get some wonderful views of the surrounding dolomiti peaks.

    La Villa is a relatively small town near Corvara which is a well known large town. It is beautiful everything is slightly cheaper than Corvara and not so busy. The views are picturesque the restaurants are great and it’s not too far from passo Pordoi etc We recommend going in June or July before the chaos of August. It’s our favourite place to go and we will be returning.

    I did not really explore the locale ... struck me as not a huge amount to do - but I was very happy with the facilities at the Hotel Melodia. Lots of varied skiing - a car makes things very much easier than having to rely on local shuttles.

    La Vall is a good destination for vacations, but it is not a good choice for skiing because it is far from the ski lift and the ski bus does not go very often, so the journey to the ski lift takes a long time.

    Area is fabulous. Hotel trying to charge for pool/spa . They put us in one of their old rooms. Which was not worth the fee. I don’t know why they did that we were one of the few guests that had booked in all week .I thought that was pretty poor of them . The hotel did not inform booking.com there was a fee for using the pool. Pretty mean all round . They knew we not happy and they simply did not care. Unacceptable

    This small town is surrounded by Italian Alps which allow travelers to stay calm and peaceful mood. Convenient stores were available in the city center. It is easy to access to any hotel from main road to the edge of mountains. Location of this town is in between Ortisei and Cinque Torri which makes this town as stopover for a night for Dolomites pilgrimage. Of course, multiple night stay is also recommended. In summer time, air and temperature can refresh tired body and release stress. Highly recommendable with two thumbs up.

Short drives over stunningly beautiful passes to Val Gardena and Cortina de Ampezzo, Corvara is 10 minutes with no pass to go over. Purchased a lift ticket for all of the lifts in the San Cassiano area and had great hikes up on the mountains where the views are spectacular. San Cassiano is not large, but has a good grocery store within walking distance of the Lagacio and a cute downtown area.

    La Villa is a great place to situate yourself in the Alta Badia region. I highly recommend it during the fall. The fall colors are GORGEOUS! Easy access to trails and a quick ride over to St. Cassiano, La Val and Corvara!
