We most of all love the service, comfort, cleanliness and user-friendly facilities / room set up. The restaurant offers an excellent and wide selection of food (we tried everything from scampi, beef tartar, scallops, dessert), the bar has an interesting wine and cocktail selection and the breakfast is also very nice (especially the items on the menu like chocolate crepe 🤩). The location is conveniently located in Alta Badia, where we started many of our hikes or have the hotel shuttle take us there. The hotel gave us very helpful hiking route suggestions which suited our abilities and duration of stay. Thank you!

Fantastic location at the foot of Sass Songher and Sass Ciampac mountains which are both very nice strolls for a pre-breakfast view. Great location close to the centre of Corvara. Christian and his team are all great and we were made to feel very welcome.

Located in a very idyllic Sudtirolian village, with a backdrop peaceful green plains and impressive mountains. Very elaborate and tasty breakfast and well prepared regional food for dinner. We came for wine and were blown away by their infinite wine list full of European treasures. And let’s not forget to mention the beautiful wellness with great views from the sauna! This place is so special, i am so glad we stayed here. If you are looking for a cosy warm feeling in a historical building (complete with creaky floors and small rooms) then you'll love it here. Its like being in a fairytale. Also have to give a shout out to the staff, they are the perfect mix of friendly and professional in such a warm way that you feel like you're welcomed into their home. Definitely leaving our stay with a strong pull to come back. If you're into modern features, minimalist design and generally luxury hotels, you should consider looking elsewhere - there are enough of those accommodations around too.

    This is a very beautiful hotel. Small and cozy but friendly, warm and inviting, and luxurious in an old-world European way, The spa and pool are gorgeous and so relaxing. The beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious, meticulously prepared, healthy, hearty and generous. It's located right at a chair lift to take you up for beautiful hikes on endless trails in the Dolomites with restaurants every 1.5 miles or so for drinks and Bavarian-style menu options. I can't recommend it enough for a nature-filled, relaxing mountain escape. The town and views are just gorgeous. Beware the drive up to Corvara in Badia is steep and on windy narrow roads for about 45 minutes. Really loved the salad bar every night I must add and the very friendly staff.

    The hotel is amazing! Our biggest compliments go to the restaurant staff – they truly make this hotel exceptional and unforgettable. Every dinner felt like a new tasting experience – unique and delicious dishes that changed daily. It allowed us to enjoy real luxury. Room cleanliness was also 10/10.     The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Our room was two stories connected by a very narrow winding staircase which the kids loved but wouldn't be great for a person with less than full mobility. I'm sure there are other rooms but just something to be aware of.

    Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area.

    Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area. It is much higher and cooler than Bolzano. It is much smaller and easier to navigate than Cortina. It has access to very easy alpine meadow trails and more challenging rocky places above the tree line.

    Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries. The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites. While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.

    San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area of the Dolomites. You are surrounded by the start of some great hiking trails and they are easy to access. It's a smaller village located closer to the Falzarego Pass and the Piz Sorega Cable Car. There are PLENTY of trails to find yourself on here. If you are staying at a local inn, make sure to try local ladin dishes and ask about the local dialect! You won't regret it. For solo female travelers the area is perfect, as I personally felt safe on the trails. Locals are friendly and you get some wonderful views of the surrounding dolomiti peaks.

    La Villa is a relatively small town near Corvara which is a well known large town. It is beautiful everything is slightly cheaper than Corvara and not so busy. The views are picturesque the restaurants are great and it’s not too far from passo Pordoi etc We recommend going in June or July before the chaos of August. It’s our favourite place to go and we will be returning.

    I did not really explore the locale ... struck me as not a huge amount to do - but I was very happy with the facilities at the Hotel Melodia. Lots of varied skiing - a car makes things very much easier than having to rely on local shuttles.

    Area is fabulous. Hotel trying to charge for pool/spa . They put us in one of their old rooms. Which was not worth the fee. I don’t know why they did that we were one of the few guests that had booked in all week .I thought that was pretty poor of them . The hotel did not inform booking.com there was a fee for using the pool. Pretty mean all round . They knew we not happy and they simply did not care. Unacceptable

    This small town is surrounded by Italian Alps which allow travelers to stay calm and peaceful mood. Convenient stores were available in the city center. It is easy to access to any hotel from main road to the edge of mountains. Location of this town is in between Ortisei and Cinque Torri which makes this town as stopover for a night for Dolomites pilgrimage. Of course, multiple night stay is also recommended. In summer time, air and temperature can refresh tired body and release stress. Highly recommendable with two thumbs up.

    San Cassiano is very centrally located for exploring and hiking the Dolomites. Short drives over stunningly beautiful passes to Val Gardena and Cortina de Ampezzo, Corvara is 10 minutes with no pass to go over. Purchased a lift ticket for all of the lifts in the San Cassiano area and had great hikes up on the mountains where the views are spectacular. San Cassiano is not large, but has a good grocery store within walking distance of the Lagacio and a cute downtown area.

    La Villa is a great place to situate yourself in the Alta...

    La Villa is a great place to situate yourself in the Alta Badia region. I highly recommend it during the fall. The fall colors are GORGEOUS! Easy access to trails and a quick ride over to St. Cassiano, La Val and Corvara!
