- From US$313.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 287 reviewsFrom the moment we arrived at Su Gologone, we knew we were in for something extraordinary — but what we experienced went far beyond our expectations. This is not just a hotel; it's a destination in itself, a soulful and immersive celebration of Sardinian art, culture, and craftsmanship. Every corner of the property tells a story. The hotel is meticulously curated, with stunning artistic details, hand-painted tiles, vibrant textiles, and thoughtfully placed artifacts that reflect the island’s heritage. You can feel the heart and history in every space. It’s like walking through a living museum — one that you get to sleep, eat, and dream in. We honestly lost track of time just wandering through the many hidden nooks, terraces, and art installations scattered throughout. Every turn offered a new surprise, a new moment to savor. The staff were equally remarkable — incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your stay memorable. Despite the elegance of the setting, there’s nothing pretentious here — just warm, Sardinian hospitality at its finest. And then there’s the food: an absolute highlight. Dinner was such an experience, rooted in tradition but elevated with creativity and care. The ingredients were fresh, seasonal and the flavours rich and authentic . The wine selection was equally impressive, showcasing an incredible range of local Sardinian labels that complemented every dish beautifully. Su Gologone doesn’t just offer luxury — it offers meaning, depth, and connection. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave. We’re already planning our return, and next time we’re staying longer to soak in every moment of this magical place.Guest review bydeniseMalta
- From US$198.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 472 reviewsWe were upgraded to a lovely room with a view over the gulf. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. All staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. The included breakfast was great…..however the evening fixed-price dinner was poor and we only dinned there once during our four-night stay. The outdoor pool was wonderful…..with bar service available. Great cocktails. Good free car parking available nearby.Guest review byMichaelNew Zealand

A lovely family hotel, like coming to a home instead of a corporate sausage machine. It's in a tremendous location in a vibrant and delightful town that feels like a real place with much more going on than tourism. We were there out of season and the cafés and bars were still busy with locals relaxing and socialising.Guest review byBenjohnUnited Kingdom

Absolutely loved Orosei- such a beautiful town with plenty of bars and restaurants. Lots of locals around so didn’t feel overly touristy. Within half an hour of loads of stunning beaches but Orosei beach itself is pretty good anyway. Great base for exploring the local area. We would highly recommend Pizzeria Orion for amazing pizzas!Guest review byKateUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The region (Barbagia) is a paradise for outdoors activities---hiking, climbing, trail running, spelunking, mountain biking. Moreover, one of the most beautiful sections of the Sardinian coast (the Orosei gulf) is only a half hour drive away, with great opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and sea kayaking The city is small, quiet, and very safe with excellent food. Moreover, its rich cultural tradition (Nuoro officially calls itself "The Athens of Sardinia") offers several options such as museum and exhibitions focused on the local history and culture.Guest review byAnonymousItaly - 10.0

It is very nice to discover the inside of the island, and stay more in the mountains; Olinea is a perfect location, as you can still drive to the beach easily if you wish, but stay in a really calm area, with beautiful landscape; close to other things to visite like the Gorropu Canyon, Sorgenti Su Gologone, wine testing, etc; Again our stay at the property Dimora S'Ena Manna was a fantastic base to visit around, or just to relax at the property, depending on the days.Guest review byAlineLuxembourg - 10.0

Keep in mind that out of season there is very limited offer for dining out as the town is very deserted. Travelling Sardinia out of season is difficult in the way that no opening hours on google apply. You need to be quite patient and inventive with food. Nevertheless, Galtelli is just what we've needed - peace and quiet in the spring sun. 100% recommending to walk (a little too long on paved street) or drive (and park halfway) up the hill above Galtelli directly from town - there is an amazing view and nice vegetation. A restaurant called 'Sa Cantina' was basically the only option open to eat in town in March, but food was amazing. Best eat of the trip, definately recommend! Galtelli is a great location to explore east Sardinia from.Guest review byValerijaSlovenia - 10.0

It is a lovely area with a multitude of beaches, friendly people, and plenty of restaurants. It is a long way from the airports, but the roads are good and so the 80 minute drive from Olbia isn't onerous. A parasol or some other sun shelter is a must (although it is possible to hire parasols on some beaches) - the sun is very intense and shade can be difficult to come across on many beaches, especially those accessible only by boat.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The town is unique and very interesting. It is the right size for our interests - not too big, but big enough for a variety of restaurants and shops. Easy access to the beach and tourist attractions if you have a car.Guest review byAnneCanada - 10.0
