Was a surprise and delight.
Was a surprise and delight. We arrived and took a stroll to the pier which was nearby to find locals selling their catch of the day. There was a shop at the end of the pier that sold cheap and tasty food. We purchased a snack and a beer for 2.40euro! The promenade gave us somewhere to walk every night with a cool breeze - it reminded us of the French Riviera. We swam at the nearest beach along the promenade which was so lovely. There were lockers to store your bags. The old town was close and was a delight to visit. The only down side we always found was locating toilets in Bari. Shopping was great in not only the elite destrict but the local retailers. We loved Bari.Guest review byJoeAustralia - 10.0
Monopoli – the most beautiful town in Puglia!
Monopoli – the most beautiful town in Puglia! This charming coastal gem captures everything that makes Italy unforgettable. From its winding whitewashed streets and historic old town, to the sparkling Adriatic Sea and hidden coves, Monopoli offers the perfect mix of history, culture, and relaxation. Lively restaurants and cafes, local shops and stunning architecture make it a place where you instantly feel the warmth of Italian life. It’s Italy at its best – authentic, welcoming, and breathtakingly beautiful.Guest review byEdytaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Stunning cliffside town with a vibrant vacation scene. Dramatic beach set between the cliffs. Beautiful pedestrian-only streets filled with wonderful restaurants and shops. Alberobello is a beautiful town but gets super busy.
Alberobello is a beautiful town but gets super busy. If possible visit early morning, or late evening to miss the crowds. The night view is as wonderful as day time with the Trullis lit up. Plenty of parking - either on the roadside approaching the town, or in the shared car parks. Lots of places to eat - all reasonably priced and comparable for the areaGuest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

In my opinion, Locorotondo is the best town to visit in Valle d'Itria! It is certainly the most picturesque and sits on top of a hill which looks out to Martina Franca. The selection of cafes, bars and restaurants is great, with lots of options. There is a vine yard that sits on the side of the hill where you can have an apertif amongst the vines and expereince the most incredible view at sunset.Guest review byMontyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Perfect location, as it was in the country-side but not too distant from many different hot-spots. The nature was incredible (we were in a Masseria, but Castellana Grotte in general is named after the "Grotte" very unique and beautiful natural caves). The places nearby - both in the country-side and on the coast (Polignano a mare, Monopoli, etc)- were breath-taking and worth visiting. Overall a "strategic" location for our northern-Puglia travels!Guest review byCamillaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lovely typical authentic Italian town with interesting Centro Storico with its good range of cafes, restaurants and historical sights. No Sky Sports bars, Irish pubs or Sunday Roast Beef dinners (thankfully) ! Very family friendly and a good base to explore the wider area. Definitely not a tourist trap - mostly localsGuest review by1PeterH63United Kingdom - 10.0
Giovinazzo has truly become my favorite holiday destination...
Giovinazzo has truly become my favorite holiday destination – I have already returned three times in the past two years, and I can honestly say there is no better place to spend a vacation. The old town is simply magical: narrow streets full of history, charming squares, and breathtaking views along the sea promenade. I especially love the central piazza and the harbor area, where the atmosphere is lively yet very authentic. When it comes to food, Giovinazzo never disappoints. There are plenty of small local restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy fresh seafood, traditional Apulian dishes, and, of course, delicious Italian gelato. Dining outside in the piazza in the evenings is an unforgettable experience. Getting around the town is very easy – everything is within walking distance, and the beauty of Giovinazzo is best enjoyed on foot as you wander through the old streets and along the seafront. For other solo travelers, I would recommend simply taking the time to explore the old town at your own pace, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly locals, and the unique southern Italian charm. Watching the sunset by the sea or having a coffee in the main square are small but perfect pleasures here. Giovinazzo has a special place in my heart, and I can recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable Italian experience.Guest review byKorneli.NastasGermany - 10.0

We loved staying at Mola di Bari ... you can enjoy life in a traditional Italian village, that's not overrun by holiday visitors. Shops, restaurants, and the sea are all a short walk away from just about anywhere in the town. The waterfront area is beautiful to walk around in, and beaches to swim at are a very short distance away.Guest review byWorld Tomorrow VenturesUnited States
