Our stay at this winter hotel was absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect — just steps away from the ski lift, making every morning incredibly convenient. Even on the most active skiing days, starting the adventure was a breeze without the hassle of a long commute to the slopes. The rooms were cozy and offered breathtaking mountain views. Coming back here after a day on the slopes was pure bliss. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the thoughtful details in the decor that created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfasts were amazing — diverse and filling. Each morning, I felt energized and ready to conquer the slopes. In the evenings, returning to the hotel meant enjoying a relaxing spa session or indulging in a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. They provided me with plenty of helpful tips on routes, equipment rentals, and even shared some local secrets about the best runs. If you’re looking for the perfect place for a winter getaway that combines comfort, convenience, and outstanding service, this hotel is exactly what you need. I love this hotel so much i came back for my 2nd visit. It's a bit like staying in a beautiful big family home. Claudia and Oskar are the most wonderful and friendly hosts, their boys and other staff could not be more lovely. My cute little single bedroom was immaculately clean. The breakfast is excellent with gluten free and vegetarian options. This year I discovered the fantastic wellness rooms with spa, sauna, steam bath etc. Location is perfect just a one minute flat walk to the bus stop.

    We fell in love with Lago di Braies and with this incredible hotel- we already speak of returning. The hotel and its unique history is absolutely stunning, and we like that they preserved as much originality as possible. It is a charming, and magical place. The staff go out of their way for their guests- much appreciated. The standard of this hotel is very high. One of the best breakfast buffets of all our travels. We also chose to have dinner there for 3 nights in a row- the food is excellent. Our room faced the lake with a perfect view overlooking the mountains and beauty of it all. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony. We paid extra for our laundry to be done and were happy- everything in the hotel from the bedsheets to all linens etc were clean and crisp. Meticulously unkept property. Gorgeous patio to sit on overlooking the lake, with very nice designer outdoor furniture. We also enjoyed the hotels cozy bar in the evenings- the bartender makes excellent drinks and was so kind to our young child. It’s the best starting point for the main hikes in the area. 10/10 hotel.

    The location of this hotel was absolutely amazing with fantastic views and calm vibes. It all started with the most amazing welcoming from the staff and from then just got better and better. The hotel was so clean and very well maintained and the spa facilities were exceptional, it reminded us of being back in bali. at times we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Being a chef I also thought the food was amazing with lots to offer. what made this trip so special was, when I told the staff I wanted to propose to my girlfriend on the pool deck they went out of there to make it as romantic as possible. As frequent traveller's we highly recommended staying at this hotel, you will not be disappointed

    Everything was perfect, super clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and flexible. They let me use the gym on the day of check out. The location is also very good for a workation, you are at 5min away (by car) from the centre of Cavalese if you feel like a quicm lunch break in between meetings and in the evening you can workout at the gym and/or relax at the spa. Best combination! In the weekend you can easily reach ski places and/or snowshoeing walks. Very much recommended, I am looking forward to coming back!

    Our rooms were very comfortable, nice furniture, comfortable beds, large bathroom with hydromassage, two flat tv sets with plenty live tv channels. The hotel is in a good location near to the ski resort cableway, with a continuous minibus service from the hotel te the cableway station The food is abundant and delicious. The staff is very polite, friendly and ready to assist for everything. We had a relaxing time in the afternoon in the spa&wellness center very well equipped with a variety of options to relax.

    We loved everything about Hotel Platz! Such a charming unexpected delight, so close to Ortisei and Val Gardenia! The food and staff were exceptional~ always a delicious breakfast and dinner, w a warm welcome from staff. They couldn’t do enough for you! We definitely plan to make Platz part of our plans when we travel again! And the views!! Incredible!     It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then some

    This is further to my previous review on Garni Rives. I gave the hotel a review that reflects my honest opinion, mainly about the manager/host of the hotel. Obviously my review was not received with warmth from the hotel manager. He messaged me immediately via Whatsapp and blamed me being not polite to him, I have no idea where does this come from. I believe he has broken the golden rule of being in me the hospitality industry, if he cannot accept honest reviews, how can he improve to thrive on? The hotel itself is OK and the only problem I have is the steep climb (not the hotel's fault) and mainly the manager's manner.

    For those who may not know, Val Gardena is comprised of...

    For those who may not know, Val Gardena is comprised of three distinct areas; Selva, Ortisei and Santa Cristina. My advice on where to stay is to try and figure out which mountain ranges you plan on hitting. That said, all three locations are very close together, and you can access them all within ten minute on the same bus. Personally, I would stick to Selva or Ortisei simply because of their access to vastly different mountain areas. Santa Cristina is snuggled between the two and didn't have as much to offer, IMO.

    Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town.

    Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town. There is a train station for trips to other nearby towns or into Austria. The bus service is excellent. You can go for hikes up the Dolomites and reach the famous three peaks. So much to do. The drinking water is amazing.

    Canazei is located at the southern part of the Sella Ronda...

    Canazei is located at the southern part of the Sella Ronda domain and you need to take a couple of lifts up to the slopes. There are also buses to get to different parts of the domains, and though they run regularly their frequency changes. Apres-ski life is more on the quiet side in Canazei and while there are a lot of restaurants in the village, we didn't find anything the marked us. There's a great (but pricey) swimming pool and wellness center and shops are OK for such a village.

    Kronplatz is everyone's favorite skiing destination. Many slopes of varying difficulty. Something for everyone. All are very well groomed every single night. Lifts are refreshed / replaced by newer at extreme rates. Parking at the bottom station of the gondola is the best that you will ever experience and the price is quite affordable.

    There are three lifts close to the village and buses which are free to guest card holders which go to at least 8 more. There are suggestions of hikes from the top of all these lifts. The website fassa.com is full of information.

    San Candido is a picture perfect town nestled amongst the most beautiful mountain range in Europe , it has everything you need for a family holiday in the Dolomites , bars, restaurants and independent shops , I would highly recommend a visit .

    Castelrotto/Kasteruth is a delightful town set in beautiful surroundings and is we thought just the right size. Large enough to have two supermarkets , a number of choices for restaurants/Cafes , a Pharmacy , a number of clothes shopping opportunities but small enough that we never felt over crowded. It is delightful to see young children laughing their way off to school early morning. And there is a Gelato shop! There is a brand new lift that goes up to several delightful mountain walks at 1,500 metres , as I recall, and a restaurant and play area for children at the top.
