We stayed in the penthouse. It probably was the most stunning apartment I have ever stayed in. A true proof of quality workmanship and style. The jacuzzi on the terrace was the cherry on top (the mini-bar style cupboard on the terrace was also genius). The dinner and breakfast were also very good. Every evening was an experience, not just a simple dinner. We enjoyed the local dishes and the atmosphere. The highlight of the breakfast definitely were the fruit juicers. We enjoyed freshly squized orange, apple, carrot, etc. juice every morning.

    Amazing winter stay – highly recommended! I stayed at this hotel during the winter and it was absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect – right in the center of the town, just a 10-minute walk to the ski slope, which is beautifully lit in the evenings. The hotel has an incredible atmosphere and stylish interior design that made the stay truly special. The wellness area is excellent – there's a great indoor pool and outstanding saunas. One of the saunas is located on the rooftop with a breathtaking view of the mountains, and right next to it is a jacuzzi – perfect after a day on the slopes. The owners – Renate, Barbara and Hannes – were incredibly kind and welcoming. I especially have great memories of talking with Hannes, the "head of the hotel" – he was warm, attentive and always available for a good conversation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a winter getaway. It was an unforgettable experience and I would definitely come back!

    It started with a very warm and welcoming at the reception- we were told all necessary details at the beginning, so nothing was left unknown. In general the hotel is clean, tidy, constantly maintained. The rooms were super clean, very well dressed up, interior looks like brand new. Beds were super comfy, lightning just right on the spot. Bathroom fresh- you could feel the staff did their job very well! The Sauna area is modern and reflects the themes of the surrounding outside. Everything there clean and prepared welcoming. The staff at the restaurant works professional, friendly and warmhearted. The food from the kitchen is extraordinary tasty - you can feel they don't use flavour enhancers or sauce binders. Freshly cooked with a delightful taste - just enjoyable to eat.

    One prt of the hotel has been absolutely stunningly renovated. The rooms are amazing as are the bathrooms/toilets. The breakfast bar was very well stocked and you can order eggs which ever way you want. Staff was super friendly. We also booked the sauna ehich was very nice on a rainy day (small extra charge). They also make sandwiches for you to take along on a hiking trip (small charge).

    WOW! I rented the tent and was amazing overall at the facilities here. The Spa is hands down the best I have ever been to. The breakfast the best breakfast buffet. and had an amazing 5-star steak dinner with a nice wine. The whole concept is a bit odd - luxury caravan park, but I am VERY HAPPY!! Great start or finish to any hike nearby.

    We had a great stay there, the facilities meeting the expectations. Two pools, big sauna with view to the mountains, the heated pool was amazing to stay in, while looking at the Dolomites. Dinner can be booked for 35€ and it’s a 5 course meal, no a la cart.

    Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town.

    Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town. There is a train station for trips to other nearby towns or into Austria. The bus service is excellent. You can go for hikes up the Dolomites and reach the famous three peaks. So much to do. The drinking water is amazing.

But we find time for a walk in Villabassa center and also had a great dinner at Emma restaurant (if I remember correctly the name), Overall, it's a quite clean town, which should be even nicer in the warmer periods of the year.

    Nice village, easy to stroll around - few shops, caffees, restaurant available. Great for cross country skiing - Dobbiaco is linked with all neighbour villages and long distance trails are also starting from here. Easy access by car and skibus to 3Zinnen ski lifts.

    If you're looking for a nice calm and quite mountain village...

    If you're looking for a nice calm and quite mountain village, with good local restaurants and close distance to the best attractions in the Dolomites than San Candido is for you. The surroundings are turly breathtaking, unique natural heritage of this world. Recommend to have a car to drive around, absolutely necessary.

    Braies is very beautiful location, nice lake, good parking and food. It us better to come in the morning, because of changing wheather and a lot of tourists. The boat renting is expensive 50€/person/ 1/2 hour.

    Bus transportation was free and fairly frequent. There is not much in the center of Sesto, It feels like a passing route rather than a village, unlike San Candido where there are shops and cafes and restaurants. None of that in Sesto. Good place to stay if you want to hike around and nothing else. I think I would rather stay in San Candido or Villabassa next time. If you stay in Sesto make sure you stay at a hotel that serves breakfast and dinner. If you have an apartment you will need to cook as there is no good restaurant option.

    A small what seemed to be more local town, which I liked.

    A small what seemed to be more local town, which I liked. Only a handful of restaurants with unpredictable hours as google was sometimes wrong. Not a reason to not stay here though, really enjoyed the town and the lack of tourists.
