In a rural setting at the foot of the supramonte mountains. A majestic scenery.. easy to get to Cala Ganone. Free parking at the roundabout coming down the mountain into Cala Ganone.with a free shuttle to the port. The layout of the hotel is very gorgeous. We had a. Amazing breakfast. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. We had Antonio's home made pasta..Dinner options at Dorgali seem limited. Lots of pizzerias. Just wonderful experience. 😊

We had a room with balcony and sea view. It had dual aspect windows, with views up the coast and out to sea. Very beautiful. You could hear the sea lapping at night if you kept the window open. The balcony was a good size and lovely for sitting on,. The location can not be more perfect. I liked the inside and outside eating areas. The hotel serves excellent food and offers a 10% discount for dinner. There is a wonderful outside eating area on a terrace overlooking the sea. We were also offered complementary prosecco both times we ate. Breakfast is pretty good, with boiled eggs, ham and cheese, and on one day we had a lovely fruit salad. Cakes and pastries were very good. There was brown and white bread. The hotel is colourful and quirky, and is even nicer than it appears in the photos. I liked that there were lots of books and guides around the hotel to be used by guests. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There was a coffee machine in the room, but as there was no facility for boiling water, the staff obligingly provided me with hot water for tea. The free WIFI was excellent.

Our stay at Hotel La Playa was great! From the moment you enter the hotel, you feel that friendly and welcoming energy. The place is clean, bright, comfortable, colourful. We had a family room overlooking the town and the sea. We enjoyed the terrace with a view very much! We had breakfast and dinner which I rate number one! Personnel smiling, helpful, we had the feeling that they are here for us to feel like at home. Only up to 10 minutes from the beach. Parking at the hotel. I hope to come here again.

This place is heaven. It s a small, authentic, charming hotel where you feel very welcome. The location is a dream:the sea and the harbour are literally at your feet. The room had a balcony that was inviting to sit for a moment. The breakfast was very extensive and served on the terrasse on the rooftop where you had a panoramic view on the mountains, the sea and the harbour . To go to the beach you could use towels especially for that Mather. Free. The place Cala Gonone is small and not destroyed by tourism. No gigantic buildings here. You can visit the dreamy beaches with a boat trip. Really:perfect!!!

    I recommend. Best experience. Show every evening and entertainments. Dancing all night long with an amazing staff entertaining the children and adults. Beautiful music. Singers. Shows. Barbecues for dinner with opened buffet. Huge pool and best beach in front of the hotel. Great restaurants only few meters from the hotel and a spar supermarket 15min walking from the restaurant.     Very friendly and thoughtful staff. A lovely family hotel, like coming to a home instead of a corporate sausage machine. It's in a tremendous location in a vibrant and delightful town that feels like a real place with much more going on than tourism. We were there out of season and the cafés and bars were still busy with locals relaxing and socialising.

    The junior suite we stayed in at the main building was exceptional. The accommodation renovation has been authentically done. Loved the whole place. Location was great and the parking easy as directions given by hotel staff were concise and accurate. The breakfast has a great selection of food and fresh coffee too. Loved our stay.

    The location, the staff, specially Francesca. Besides knowing very well the place, she made everything to turn our stay the best in Sardinia! We went to Cala Gonone to stay only one night and we stay there almost 3 days. It was also the best breakfast during our trip in Sardinia. The boat trip that Francesca presented was amazing!

    Vey nice little town.

    Vey nice little town. It was near the hiking trails to Gala Luna. quite a lot of people, but not so busy in September. Hotel staff said that it is much more in summer months. There were nice clean beaches in town and near by.

    Absolutely loved Orosei- such a beautiful town with plenty of bars and restaurants. Lots of locals around so didn’t feel overly touristy. Within half an hour of loads of stunning beaches but Orosei beach itself is pretty good anyway. Great base for exploring the local area. We would highly recommend Pizzeria Orion for amazing pizzas!

    If you like the outdoors then Dorgali makes an excellent base. Some great challenges, such as Tiscali and the Golo Gorupo of course, A range of beaches, sea excursions, hikes and adventures. There are so many natural wonders in the area and some neolithic sites of interest too. And the SS125...

    Perfect place to have beach holidays for a family with kids- they spent most of the time in and out of the sea; it was never ending fun for them. If you are a fan of SUPing/ kayaking/ windsurfing- it's great place for these types of water activities. Grab your own from home (as I did) or rent the one on the beach (15€ per hour or 60€ per day for a SUP).

    We went to Cala gonone to visit the famous beaches via boat from the port but the weather let us down unfortunately, not much else to do although it’s a beautiful place and we were only there for 2 days

It is a long way from the airports, but the roads are good and so the 80 minute drive from Olbia isn't onerous. A parasol or some other sun shelter is a must (although it is possible to hire parasols on some beaches) - the sun is very intense and shade can be difficult to come across on many beaches, especially those accessible only by boat.

    Loved the unique feel not your typical hotel stay. All the amenities needed. Delicious food at the restaurant(make a reservation) and fresh made breakfast Italian style included. Very peaceful property and lively hosts

    This accommodation was just in the right place and time.

    This accommodation was just in the right place and time. We enjoyed the surroundings and the nice restaurant we found in the town. The B&B we had was excellent and the trip from Dorgali was so beautiful that we had almost to stop at all the scenery stops. A must take route from Dorgali south the Oriental road.
