Loved every minute of our stay, super friendly and attentive hotel personnel, amazing quality of food and wine in the restaurant, lovely views on the lake, beautifully designed rooms. A big praise to our waiter during dinner time and an young man at the reception upon our check-in, within few minutes he managed to get us an extra duvet and two additional pillows for us for a good night sleep. Our stay at Bled Rose was nothing short of incredible. Nestled right at the edge of the stunning Lake Bled, this hotel offers a breathtaking view that left us speechless every morning. To our delight, we were upgraded to a superior double room, which featured a spacious balcony with what must be the best view of the lake. The room itself was beautifully decorated, with vibrant and tasteful colors that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every detail of the decor added to the overall charm of the hotel, making it feel luxurious yet cozy. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality was flawless. We even received water and biscuits for our journey home upon checking out. The location couldn’t have been more perfect—it was just steps away from the lake and close to all the major sights, yet peaceful and serene. It was the ideal place to relax and soak in the natural beauty of Bled. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Bled. From the incredible views to the outstanding service, every aspect of our stay was perfect 😊

Exeptional stuff, especially Oana! they give us present when we leave, and we were there for only one day. Very clean hotel with beautiful rooms, with everything you need and more! Great SPA with best outside hot jakuzzi(it was raining when we were inside😊) Biggest sauna I have ever seen. Everything was 5 star, and the best thing is hotel himself. Beautiful arhitecture of an old 1850 building which, back then, was iron factory! Every part of the hotel was art....walls, floors, wood and stone of such a beauty! And very expensive and beautiful sculptures everywhere in hotel, that you can buy if you can😊 Very nice garden for rest in the shades and sun. We will be back for sure!

    We stayed in a Family Studio with Balcony with our dog. Everything was excellent and we would definitely stay again. Check-in: hours are limited so make sure to arrive between those hours. The staff are very friendly and provided us with great information on nearby walks and hikes suitable for winter. The staff were also responsive to our messages via booking.com in advance of our trip. Apartment: The apartment was extremely clean and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom was nice with a huge sink and powerful shower. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed; we had read some reviews and were not sure what would be there when we arrived, some said they didn't even have a kettle. But we had everything we needed - actually even more than we needed :) - pots, pans, roasting dishes, kettle, coffee maker, even things like a cheese grater and kitchen scissors, and all of it was extremely clean. Location: lovely mountain views, a short downhill walk in to town, plenty of grass around (important when travelling with a dog :)). The town of Bovec is lovely. Apparently extremely busy in the summer. Small supermarket in town or a short drive to something bigger. We were there in the off-season (between Christmas and New Year) and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great walks/hikes directly from the apartment or a short drive. All walks in the area are very well sign posted. Beautiful sightseeing (e.g. Slap Virje, Velika Korita). Parking: plenty of parking and free right outside the apartment.

    The place was really quiet and peaceful. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, most of them spoke several languages and they were always happy to help! The scenery was beautiful and the tent was cozy and even had a fridge and a box with a lock for the luggage that was safe from insects. The bed was really comfortable too and the showers and toilets were really clean! The breakfast was delicious and fresh!

    The walk around the lake is great to do either way.

    The walk around the lake is great to do either way. A visit to the castle is a must. Vintgar Gorge is stunning and the walk back into Bled is easy to follow. Definitely visit Bohinj area whilst staying in Bled. You can’t cycle around the lake however the walk is lovely and you can get the electric boat back across the lake as an option. A fabulous place to visit!

    Kranjska Gora is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts such as trail runners like us. We visited to run the UTMB Julian Alps in September so the atmosphere was buzzing. Weather was amazing, we definitely got lucky as a storm rolled in the day we left. A few nice restaurants, pubs and cafes, all of which really good value.

    We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. If we went back again we would stay in Bohinj as a base and move around from there.

    Bovec is a great town for outdoor lovers - river trips and hiking. Some superb restaurants in the area with very reasonable prices for the quality - Bistro 9:45, Restaurant Mangrt. Not too touristy in September

    Our trip was in summer. As a town/area Tarvisio wasn't as quite as nice (in summer) as other places we stayed out in nearby Slovenia, but it was fine. I imagine the location would be perfect for ski-season.

    Kobarid is a nice little town situated on Soča river between Tolmin and Bovec. There are numerous possibilities of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, paragliding, kayaking or simply taking a dip in stunningly turquoise Soča. Short drive to Nadiža river which is also beautiful. Kozjak waterfall and hanging bridges are obligatory to visit.

    Lesce is a local residential village so nothing special is really happening there. It is quite small and very quiet with supermarkets in the vicinities. The best thing about Lesce is it central location to all the major areas around Lake Bled.

    The Tolmin Gorge is an absolute must do.

    The Tolmin Gorge is an absolute must do. We also climbed the hill up to the Kozlov Rob castle, but a portion of the castle was blocked off, which was a disappointment. A much better use of our time would have been to drive up sooner to Kolovrat Museum of the First World War; which isn't a museum, but a fascinating preservation of WW 1 bunkers and some of the most spectacular views of mountains and sea you will experience while in Slovenia. It got dark before we could fully explore the trails, tenches and bunkers.

    We used the town as a base for visiting Lake Bled and the surrounding area. It made for a quieter less touristy base than Lake Bled itself. The old town was charming with several nice restaurants / cafes.

    Definitely a three/four day trip but not a lot for 2 over 80’s to do. Most stuff geared to different sports…. which is fine if we had visited 20 years ago. Julian alps really stunning, heavily wooded, a wide species of trees, certainly very very scenic.
