Absolutely loved Cstiglione della Pescaia, the sandy beaches and refreshing water, Of course nothing compares to our Australian white sandy beaches and pristine waters, this place comes in a close second. Most suitable for families and children as the sea water was calm and shallow.Guest review bySoniaAustralia - 10.0
We loved staying in this bed and breakfast place!
We loved staying in this bed and breakfast place! It is family owned business and they all do everything they can, above and beyond, so that their guests will feel comfortable and happy. The building was recently renovated and beautiful, the room was big and very comfortable, and the location could not be better! Few minutes from the beach, restaurants, and the promenade. We hope to come again.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 8.0

The restaurant evening meal isn't cheap but on our 1st visit the meal was fabulous, along with the service, which prompted us to book a 2nd night's meal there.... That wasn't so great, just as expensive but we were only able to choose from a much smaller menue, 4 starter dishes, only 2 main dishes, and a choice 3 desserts ! And sadly it wasn't great. However the breakfast was very good with plenty of choices, including tea, coffee and fruit juice on tap. The hotels pool, and pool bar/ coffee shop was fantastic. The room was nice, airy and relatively clean. The only exception being the rooms floor which was never cleaned/moped during our stay, which left us going to bed with dirty feet onto clean sheets. We were on a driving holiday, and parking around the hotel was an issue, however we had booked to park in the hotels underground car park, for the security of our vehicle and it's contents. The downside is the €15 per day charges, which added €75 onto our end bill.Guest review bymartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Orbetello is a sweet town with wonderful shops and cafes and streets to explore. Parking was easy, as we visited in March (off season). We enjoyed walking along the waterfront and eating several meals at Tratorria Marcella e Pasquale in the main piazza. Gorgeous, welcoming hosts and delicious homemade pasta meals and local wine.Guest review byAudreyAustralia - 8.0

Final remarks on Argentario location overall: in our opinion it’s best visited by boat, so if your expectation is to find long wide sand beaches, they’re not really here. The only alternative is La Feniglia natural reserve, but that implies moving by car hoping to find a parking spot - that is about 10 kms away.Guest review byValterSavItaly - 6.0

Albinia town itself we were mobbed by mosquitos, so literally ate our food and dashed back to villa. Restaurant by the supermaket and the beach cafe the best. Porto Santo Stefano was our favourite place to visit and eat. Make sure you pay for car parking on one of the meters. Porto Ecole you can hire boat from for a few hours out on water. Again make sure to pay for car parking.Guest review byShazzhaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Amazing place near the ocean with views and lots of things to do. We went to eat at Il Faro a couple of times and we really enjoyed it. Climbed the mountain to see the Etruscan ruins, great views from up there. The city of Talamone is very nice to walk and enjoy for the passeggiata.Guest review byKristy-AnnCanada - 6.0

Upside, we loved the staff, the room was spacious, and enjoyed he pool. We found everything was clean, contrary to other reviews. The train was a constant annoyance and we recommend getting a room in the back. Our TV did not work and although they did suggest switching our room, we decided to remain and read our books. We dined at the restaurant one evening (we are former restaurant owners) and we were impressed with the service, quality of food, and impressive wine list. Flip-side, we were disappointed that we were charged for breakfast. We really wanted to like this hotel but it does have downsides.Guest review byJoseph - 10.0
Porto Ercole is a wonderful hidden gem on Monte Argentario.
Porto Ercole is a wonderful hidden gem on Monte Argentario. It is a small town with lots of great restaurants and activities. We had a wonderful snorkeling day trip, drove to Porto Santo Stefano for a day at the beach, and enjoyed the ambiance and liveliness of the town. I did wish that we had more knowledge of how to book the beach umbrellas and chairs at the various beaches ahead of time, as we were there in August and the shade was a must! I would have liked to have had more time to do some hiking in other areas of Monte Argentario, that would be most logical to do in the cooler weather. Very friendly town with nice restaurants, great gelato and lovely people.Guest review byNancyUnited States - 10.0
Quaint little town with so much to offer!
Quaint little town with so much to offer! Relaxing holiday vibe, with an amazing shoreline and excellent restaurants both on the promenade and in the old town centre. Ideal for adults and families with babies and tiny toddlers. Not recommended for teenagers unless they are happy to just swim, cycle and read quietly under an umbrella. One can explore the other bays in the vicinity, but I would recommend you just park your car and leave it there throughout your stay.Guest review byGiselleMalta
