The ski lift is near by, 50 m from the hotel with direct acces from the slope. The spa area is very beautiful with an area for everyone with one inside and one outside pool comunicating each other, a baby pool and a jacuzzi, with sauna and hammam. Another area is adult reserved with 2 saunas, jacuzzi pool, kneipp pools and relaxing areas. Tea and water are offered by the hotel with oranges and apples. The appartement is huge with 2 rooms, terrace and a bathroom. Dinner is rafined, delicious and for all tastes. Alpine menu, italian menu and light menu are proposed every evening, but you can choose between dishes. Light lunch is complementary and very good- actually a vegetarian salad bar. Good wines- local and national are proposed for an extra cost. The bar is excellent with great music. Everybody is very kind, I felt like a princess all day long. The manager is very kind, always there and all the hotel crew is top, from the ladies in housekeeping, to the spa experts, reception staff, waiters and bartenders. Warm welcoming. We were in the main building with a view of the mountains and the first swimming pool. The room is modern. The terrace area is large but thanks to the sophisticated decoration there are plenty of small and intimate corners. It also offers games near the bar (baggamon, cards, chess, etc.) so you feel like you're at home.There are garden areas with chairs near the trees. It’s so cosy. There are two magnificent swimming pools. The SPA is very beautiful and the reading/silent room is beautiful. For Art’s lovers it is interesting and modern. Beautiful works everywhere. Like in a big house. The breakfast buffet is magical. Magnificent table with a great chef. Delicious. We feel good in the « apple fruits « region. The South Tyrolean specialties, including a variety of fruit compotes, were exceptional, and the coffee with warm milk, served in elegant silverware, added a touch of sophistication. My only very small suggestion (which in no way detracts from the superior experience) would be to provide a firmer, thicker pillow option in the room, as the current ones were a bit too soft for my personal preference. There is a lot to do in Merano, rain or shine. Of course, there are the local & famous walkways, the mountain hikes, bike trails, and the Dolomites are nearby. A lovely little place with great amenities and activities for all. It is best known for it's hiking/walking paths, but it is also a bit of a mecca for cyclists. It's one of those villages that "gets" to you.
It's one of those villages that "gets" to you. The village itself has very narrow streets (thankfully, many are one way only as some only barely fit one car) but the surrounding area offers plenty of hiking trails and the local waterfall, which is rather impressive. Plus this is one of THE wine and fruit growing regions in Southern Tyrol so there are plenty of locally grown foods available and I highly recommend stopping at the many stalls in the area that sell those products.Guest review byArBe01157New Zealand - 10.0
