We loved everything! The staff is amazing and goes beyond any expectations to make sure your stay is pleasant. The mattress and pillows were among the best we’ve ever tried! The decor is nice, simple and elegant, the neighborhood is quiet and silent. We didn’t try the SPA as we didn’t have much time and wanted to explore as much of the city as possible. The rest of the family stayed longer, they had a chance to enjoy the restaurant and had amazing words about it too! We have no words to thank enough the staff and everyone who made our stay the loveliest one, we’ll be back!

The room and the bathroom were spacious and sparkling clean. Breakfast was amazing, delicious and big variety (from scramble eggs and bacon to torta della nonna!). The hotel is exceptionally located right in front of the beach, close to restaurants, cafes and a very convenient parking. Best of all was the staff, who was lovely, attentive and always smiley. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved the fact that the beach is only few steps away, we could get there through the garden. Also, the funicular is right there, so you can get to Taormina city center in matter of minutes! We could park our rental at their private parking (15€ per day charge). Room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. But probably what we liked the most was the food, we ate few dinners at the hotel's restaurant and fell in love with their parmigiana :) Everything was just perfect. Good value for the price!

Booked this hotel for three nights and it was terrific. All the staff were very helpful and the breakfast were really very tasty. The room was ideal with air conditioning. Having a balcony at the front was worth booking. Being able to to sit with a glass of wine overlooking the boats, restaurants and people watching was great. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. We had a couple of days at the beach the first was at the nearest which had a beach bar, loungers and parasols. Drinks were reasonable however €30 for the use of the parasol and lounger was a bit expensive. Cheaper if you choose one further from the beachfront. Beach was a bit stoney with some sandy areas. We walked round to the larger beach (25 mins) where we got a lounger and Parasol for €15 for the day. Prices are seasonal and this was mid September but the summer cost wasn’t too bad(€25ish ?). Prices at the beach bar were also very reasonable. We traveled by motorcycle and there was free nearby street parking. The hotel offers parking (fee) but it was full when we arrived I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel

FAQs about hotels in Sicily

An Island of Intrigue

The largest Italian island, Sicily has long been a place of mystery and intrigue, coveted by civilisations. Its Greek history is most evident at Agrigento whose UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Temples has amazingly well-preserved Greek temples.

Also important to Greece was Siracusa. Archimedes was born here and there is a theatre and necropolis to explore. However, the most spectacularly located Greek theatre is at Taormina. Set on a hill overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, this theatre points towards Mount Etna smoking away in the distance above Catania. Picturesque Taormina is one of the most popular Sicily resorts and down below there are some wonderful Giardini Naxos hotels on the beach, available on Booking.com.

Another resort boasting some of the best Sicily hotels for families is fabulous Cefalù. Home to a lovely beach, this small town is dramatically located at the foot of a mountain. To the north-west are the Aeolian Islands (also known as the Lipari Islands), volcanic islands with plunging cliffs and secret coves.

Back on the main island, the capital Palermo is a seductive mix of amazing architecture and laidback life. Trapani to the west is known for its salt flats, whereas Messina to the east is where trains drive straight onto the ferry to Reggio Calabria on the Italian mainland.

The place is filthy. Streets full of rubbish.

The place is filthy. Streets full of rubbish. Graffiti on most of the buildings, Some buildings look abandoned, then you see people coming out of them. I don't know how they live there. It's a pity since they are so antique. Would be beautiful if cared for. Not to mention the people. They try to rip you off all the time. Especially taxi drivers. Tourists need to be super cautious. And the traffic is horrible. You have to pay attention how you cross the road even though you are on a zebra crossing. They keep driving no matter what. If you go to the beach you get annoyed by the multiple individuals trying to sell you something or even give you a message. They don't leave you in peace. Two restaurants we loved were Cafe/Restaurant Duomo and D.O.C. Nice food and atmosphere. I highly reccomend. There are nice places for shopping too. Via Etnea full of shops, porte Di Catania and centro Sicilia excellent spots. I reccomend Etnapolis and Etnaland too. There is an awsome open air market everyday not to be missed. Not to mention Etna, a must go.

With its archaeological park and other sites, Siracusa was a History teacher's paradise. There were also excellent swimming facilities, and the streets were full of character, with some fantastic and reasonably priced bistros. Most people we encountered were friendly and helpful. There was also a vibrancy in the arts, with The Puppet Theatre a must-see. However, the busy traffic was a menace, and one felt as though one was risking one's life crossing the road. The bus service was hopeless, with one bus circling us around the same bus stop three times! The air quality was poor, and this affected my Asthma.

I love both beaches and lively city centers at the same time and Trapani can offer that. A perfect cable car trip directly from Trapani to historic Erice. A beautiful sunset and a view of the illuminated Trapani. Interesting places in the vicinity: Segesta and Selinunte archeological parks, the very unusual Nuova Gibellina (plus Cretto di Buri) and bustling Palermo with majestic monuments. There are plenty of great restaurants in Trapani. I can't miss the Meno Tredici gelateria in the harbor and the great arancini at Al Pollero da Roberto.

Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was lost, I pass in front the entrance without realizing it, poor indicators. I stop and I find another car lost too. The car parking too expensive, the entrance tickets expensive, I went really early before there were too many people, I was able to take selfies for the more important monuments without any wait line. You must be ready with plenty of water, if you are going in summer time because its a really long walk under very strong summer lights. I guess you must see it at least once on your life, like everything relevant from our pass times. Obviously I am a simply tourist without knowledge about architecture. For those that understand I am sure must be fascinating.

Beautiful town, full of life at night. Easily walkable, flat streets. Beach is nice and long, with multiple free areas. It's a gorgeous scene with the huge mountains, and lighthouse at the other end. It is definitely more of a touristy feel, as we went in August. Definitely explore up and down the peninsula, as there's excellent beaches and coves to swim at as well!

Giardini-Naxos and the surrounding towns are, however, unusually dirty, with a lot of litter scattered along the streets. The beach, on the other hand, has wonderfully clean and clear water. People are helpful. Traveling around, take time. The only rush is in traffic. If you travel by rental car, it helps to have a good map reader in the passenger seat and a calm mind. Honking is simply a part of the traffic culture. A motorcyclist may pass you on either the right or the left. Focus on the traffic is the most important thing. When choosing a rental car, you should go for one with medium power. Otherwise, it may not make it up the hills. We had a Toyota Yaris 1500 Petrol Hybrid Automatic. It was ok. An automatic gearbox makes driving easier.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place. It was a very friendly environment, and unlike the main island, there was no trash littering the area. It was great to see that the main mode of transportation there was by bicycles. The food was also great, but it was a bit overpriced.
