- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 539 reviewsWe were in the area for work and took a couple days extra to relax and enjoy fall on the Amalfi Coast. We were so lucky to find Hotel & Resort Le Axidie, it checked all the boxes and exceeded expectations. The resort has a private beach, swimming pool, and outdoor heated pools that are just beautiful. The bar and beachside bistrot are always staffed and ready with drinks, snacks, and lunch. Rooms are spacious and spotless. The cleanliness is amazing and the fragrance everywhere makes you feel like you're in the tropics. Views are unbelievable, the Vesuvius is right in front of your eyes, towering over the sparkling blue bay of Naples. Food was excellent, the fabulous breakfast buffet complete with eggs and bacon, as well as the gourmet restaurant, both rooftop so with the ultimate vista. A shuttle is available to take guests into the town of Vico Equense. For a change of scenery there are a couple of restaurants and a cocktail bar just outside of the resort property. We highly recommend Hotel & Resort Le Axidie for your next Amalfi Coast vacation!Guest review byBonnieItaly
- From $680.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 129 reviewsMy wife and I went for a few days trip to Amalfi coast and stayed here for 3 night. The hotel is 5min walk from the center and the old city with good reaurants within 1min walk. The whole experience from the check-in to check out was incredible. The staff was helpful in any way I can imagine. They , per our ask, recommended restaurants and reserved for us. Booked us a driver to Positano and to Napoli. They were very attentive to all our needs. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices in the buffer us omletes to order. Rooms are beautiful, big with high ceiling, huge mirrors and very clean overlooking the bay. The hotel provides free lounge with food and drinks including soft drinks, wine, prosecco and alcohol in the evening which is super nice. We took benefit of it every evening to relax before dinner. Definitely recommended and when we come to this region will stay again. To the staff, thank you for all your help.Guest review byRamIsrael

With breathtaking views, a great pool, friendly staff, free parking, and balconies in every room, this hotel is also very affordable. The panoramic vistas from the balconies will leave you in awe, and the well-maintained pool provides a serene escape. The staff's warm hospitality and helpfulness add to the overall charm of the place. The inclusion of free parking is a rare bonus, and the complimentary breakfast is a delightful start to the day. Sorrento load is located across the Bay of Naples frrom Pompeii, it is small but charming and has all the amenities you would ever hope for on your Italian vacation. The Amalfi coast, Herculaneum which was buried in mud ash three days after Vesuvius erupted. It was not burned and the structures are still in place and really gives you a feel for the time in which people lived. Cooking classes, cheesemaking and of course an excursion to Capri. Or if you just want to relax annd enjoy the view, what a place.Guest review byRobert FuleihanUnited States - 8.0
Lots of place to eat, shop and visit.
Lots of place to eat, shop and visit. If you don't have a car give yourself extra time getting to and from as taxis are scarce and the buses really don't follow a schedule even though one is posted. If you are out for dinner you can get the restaurant to get you a taxi.Guest review byRalphCanada - 10.0
This area is a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast.
This area is a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast. The bus takes you to Sorrento one way and Positano the other, but can get full up quickly. However there are taxis around if you prefer. In Sant Agata there are very reasonably priced restaurants and a great children's playground near to the go-kart track.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely local restaurants in Sant'Agnello.
Lovely local restaurants in Sant'Agnello. Particularly liked Lapillo on the same street as our hotel and Alfreds, one street over. Both small and worth booking. Both trains and buses into Sorrento were cheap and very regular. It was also a pleasant (flat) walk of about half an hour.Guest review byGlynisUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked.
Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked. But it had everything we wanted - easy to get to the train station, lots of shops within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. There was a nice park, a marina and it was possible to get boat trips from there instead of travelling into Sorrento which was much busier. Our favourite restaurant, which was only 5 minutes from where we stayed, was Gusto - nice staff, serving fabulous meat and other dishes. We ate here three times, each time trying different things and everything was delicious.Guest review byElizabeth HUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was fantastic. Great views. Beautiful culture, area, lots to do. Kitchen is a bit small if you plan on cooking every meal but you don’t need to. Affordable local restaurants are walking distance and the best food we had in Italy. Try Eugenia. - restaurant a bit down from the church.Guest review byJonathonUnited States - 10.0
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends.
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends. We enjoyed every moment in the villa. Perfect location to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill allows to enjoy lovely dinners in the terrace with the sea view. Moreover, pool and lemon tree garden allows you to cool down from the heat. And finally, Pino is such an amazing host! He helped us with everything we need, from finding best restaurants around to having some music in the villa.Guest review byAgneBaLithuania - 10.0

It is a great base for tackling the Amalfi Coast and Capri in one direction and Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples in the other. The only drawbacks are that the buses can be full and taxis are exorbitant (a problem all over Italy).Guest review byAlistairUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and Sorrento. It takes 20 minutes to get to Sorrento by train, from where you can easily reach Positano, Amalfi or Capri by ferry, and in an hour you can be in the centre of Naples by train. This means you are very close to both places and don't have to pay the higher prices in Sorrento or Naples.Guest review byMarjanGermany
