- From $197.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 265 reviewsWe arrived at 845 at night, and the waiter was waiting for us! The view is breathtaking as it is located at the top of a mountain. The rooms were cosy and quaint. It is very remote, so if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. There was nothing to dislike but older people like us should wear sensible shoes. Most areas are cobbled but it is part of the history. We were at a wedding 25 mins fro Perugia but lunch outside are hotel was great with wonderful views Easy to get round no buses. We are both 83 so not young and I couldn't see any activities .It was for peole to see what it was like in the 1400's plusGuest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It’s a lovely place to wander about in.
It’s a lovely place to wander about in. You come across wonderful little streets and squares at every turning. It was easy for me to get around, but those with mobility issues may find it more difficult. I visited the Pozzo do San Patrizio. It’s an extraordinary structure! The funicular up to the old town from the station takes 2 minutes and is all part of the experience. It was very busy going up, so I did a round trip later on. €1.30 return in an almost empty car.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A small historic centre on a hillside, with beautiful scenery and cute streets. A great place to sit and watch the world go by. There are a good few interesting historical sites to visit right the the town centre, which is very easy to reach from the train station. It has great places to eat including Osteria del Matto (fixed menu with great freshly cooked, food, but not suitable for vegetarians) and Contrasti Cucina e Ozio, with a high-quality menu and still reasonable prices. La Bottega is wonderful for a glass of wine with quality local salumi, cheese or porchetta. There are really handy underground moving walkways to help you up or down the steep streets and shade you from the hot weather. The bars in the main square offer small aperitivo included in the price of a drink at all times of the day. There is a lot of construction right now(summer 2025) to upgrade older buildings , but I'm sure this will only improve the town.Guest review bySineadItaly - 10.0

The quintessential Italian village -- so much history with beautiful cobblestone streets, amazing cafes and quaint shops. We were there for a family baptism and every venue accommodated our large groups with advance planning. Completely gracious and wonderful -- I will definitely return. It's a hidden gem.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Terni is a wonderful city.
Terni is a wonderful city. In my opinion it's a hidden gem of Italy. It's an easy 1-hour train ride from Rome, and on the way to all the northern Italian cities. Terni Centro has almost no cars, so incredibly walking friendly, full of cafes, gelaterias, and pizza. All, with picture book old Italian architecture. Also, Terni really comes alive after 4pm!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
We stayed one night.
We stayed one night. Julia, the hostess, was outstandingly helpful and she spoke very good English. The dinner and breakfast were particularly good. We ate dinner outdoors but in good shade from the evening sun. There is a large swimming pool which has a superb view. I highly recommend Romitorio agriturismo.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you're religious and want to see Cascia and St Rita's birthplace nearby then come or if interested in art history and St Rita's basilica and monastery next door. If driving it's a nice way to pass a morning or afternoon. Not much else to keep you there but scenery roundabout is stunning! We took a taxi organized by hotel and spent an hour or two around her birthplace village -magical views and you can climb up hill to mountain top church!Guest review byMaryUnited Kingdom
