it is fabulous! second time we visit the hotel and we went back to Sondrio area only because of it! the breakfast is really good with fresh juice, good coffee, sweets and eggs and you have a beautiful view of the valley. in the evening you have the option to do aperitivo and drink some really nice selection of wines. the staff is very kind and helpful and they do a really good job running the hotel!

    The hotel is first class. The staff are homely and friendly with attention to detail. The pool and spa area is clean and spacious. The food served is michelin 5 plus stars. The breakfast has a very wide choice and the rooms spacious. Close to the lift(30m) and busses if needed. In town centre for access to all shopping. First time staying there, and would love to return.

    This place has exceeded our expectations tenfold, truly a 5-star experience. From the check-in process, helpful staff, beautiful surroundings and interiors. The entry to spa (incl on the day of checkout - while it's still closed for outside visitors) was our highlight, as well as the breakfast in the gorgeous ballroom and aperitivo - free drinks and buffet at 5pm.

    We stayed in appartment with sauna and it was one of the best appartments in which we stayed ever. Appartment has sauna, jakuzzi, large terrace with cosy beds and amazing view to the valley! The hotel is clean, highly proffesional and very kind staff, breakfast was very rich and colorful. The hotel fireplace room was very cosy with beautiful view to Livigno.

    There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at...

    There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at the glacier (Stelvio), which was ok (lots of long lines for the button lifts because of the hundreds of ski club teams). But the nearby QC Terme Bagni Vecchi was amazing. Would like to have stayed longer for hiking and mountain biking. Very nice little town and beautfil surroundings.

    Tirano is a really nice little town, busy with plenty of visitors, but also with plenty of locals out and about enjoying the restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but we had time to explore the old town and wished we had a bit more time to visit more of the restaurants. I would recommend Vineria Carin where there were a number of local wines to sample by the glass with very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

    Nice to wander among the cobbled streets of the old town and set off on the wine trail among the vineyards. Walk for as far as you want then head down to the valley floor to get a bus back to Sondrio. Great walks in Valmalenco. Not far to Switzerland - Passo Bernina is very picturesque.

    Morbegno is a convenient place to stay in the Valtellina area. We travelled here from Menaggio on Lake Como . On the way we went on a small detour to see the Acquafraggia waterfalls and the amazing Palazzo Vertamate Franchi. We took a nice day trip from Morbegno to the Gerola Alta to visit the Bitto cheese museum . When departing we were needing to get to Tirano in the morning to get on the spectacular Bernina Express train. This was a convenient place to travel from .

    The perfect stopover on the way to Switzerland and when returning from Venice and Lake Garda and Como. You are transported to a different world with a different temperature and environment. This is a place where you can rest and relax until your next trip. Don't treat this place as an overnight stop only. If you spend only one night there, you will find that the next 20 km of travel will take you all day. Take advantage of the taste of great restaurants, hospitality and be sure to visit gas station and meet these wonderful old people. The surrounding mountains will keep you entertained for the day, especially the borderlands and amazing spirals. Be sure to buy a souvenir from Campodolcino. The temperature difference is stunning and admiration for people and full respect and the fact that you can fall in love with this place. Campodolcino made my vacation extend by two whole days.     A very pleasant and charming small town nestled in the mountains. The town reflects its rich history, yet it offers plenty of small shops. The mountain slopes are right next door and easily accessible from the town. The opportunities for cycling, spa visits, and hiking are fantastic!

    Livigno is one of a kind.

    Livigno is one of a kind. Location is distant from everything, but the place is magical. Almost always sunny, be prepared for a lot of sun. Great italian cuisine. Good prices as it is duty free zone. A lot of fun on and off pistes and of course crazy apres-ski parties every day :-)
