- From US$64.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 989 reviewsMy stay at Saint John Hotel in Madaba, Jordan, was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warmth and professionalism stood out, making me feel truly welcomed. The hotel's location is ideal—situated in the heart of Madaba, it offers easy access to the city's historical sites, including the famous mosaic map at St. George's Church. The rooms were impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with a touch of local charm. I particularly appreciated the panoramic views from the rooftop terrace, where I enjoyed a delicious meal while taking in the stunning vistas of Madaba. The hotel's amenities, including free Wi-Fi and efficient concierge services, added to the overall convenience of my stay.I would highly recommend Saint John Hotel to anyone visiting Madaba. The owner of Saint John Hotel, Madaba, Issa Alhamarna was incredibly helpful and friendly, truly going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. His warm hospitality and genuine care made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. He personally checked in to make sure everything was perfect, offering recommendations and assistance with a smile. His dedication to his guests' satisfaction is a testament to the heart and soul behind this wonderful hotel.Guest review byMahmoodaItaly
- From US$126.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,151 reviews- Incredible views of the dead sea, private beach, got the Dead Sea all to myself. - The room was very cosy with a clear view of the dead sea, Israel and Dead Sea Highway and had everything I needed. - Good food (not the best I have eaten in Jordan, but it was decent) - Quiet and calm, very good place to relax. - No resort vibe with loud children. - Remote location, could inmerse myself in the nature and experience. - Very friendly and helpful staff - Easy to find and close to Wadi Mujib.Guest review byIngridSweden
- From US$57.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,468 reviewsNew building, clean, warm, hot water pressure excellent, bar with wine and beer, good prices, parking in territory. They have moved to a new building recently. Location is top as well. Owners (a couple) are working there and making sure that everyone receives the best service!! I think that owner Diana is the one who sees the details as a woman - cleanliness, cozyness, etc that make the place perfect! (Unlike most hotels in Jordan where only men are managers). Keep up the good work!Guest review byIngaLatvia

Madaba is world famous for its ancient mosaics and its modern day mosaic school and workshops. If you want to see a mosaic, go to Madaba. Furthermore there are some very good and well priced restaurants.Guest review byTimothyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow.
The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow. The place needs some attention and could use a coat of paint and some general maintenance. The staff are very nice, but why are there no women working there? Overall we would recommend Mujib Chalets. The site is so beautiful and the Dead Sea so weird that there is no place like it.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The tourist part with St John the Baptist church, visitor centre, museum and burnt palace etc is easy to explore and plenty of eateries too. Shop keepers are helpful and don't hassle you much. Easy to take a taxi to Mount Nebo, and I also enjoyed Bethany beyond the Jordan (where John the Baptist did his work), which takes a bit longer as you get bussed from the visitor reception to the river. It was amazing to look across the river to Israel where someone was being baptised. The Dead Sea and Hot Springs are also within reach, but not sure how it works with all the 4star hotels along the edge. Yellow taxis plentiful. If it's cold in Madaba (I was there in early March and they had a cold spell) the good news is its warm at the Dead Sea and the hot springs are wonderfully warm.Guest review byLesleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We almost skipped Madaba as we wanted to spend more time in Petra and Wadi Rum but were so glad we went and could have spent more time. Besides the incredible mosaics, there are Roman ruins and underground spaces that were fun to explore plus this had some of the best shopping we saw and we regretted not having more time to browse. With its Byzantine history Madaba feels different than the other cities in Jordan and is well worth the visit.Guest review byAprilUnited States
