This place is a wonderful little sanctuary in Petra. The staff were amazing and could not do enough. We had the family room which was massive and just perfect for us and our two sons (8yr, 10yr). The views from the balcony were fabulous. They do a dinner at night in the gorgeous courtyard looking over the town. It was super tasty, and definitely worth staying in for. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Petra.

Excellent location of the hotel, from which the entrance to Petra is only 1 kilometer away. The room was very clean with a big shower, and comfortable beds. Ammar is a great host, who provides us with clear instructions and helps us with transfer to and from Petra. He tried his best to make us feel at home during our stay in his hotel. The view from the roof during breakfast is a nice addition to delicious breakfast. In our opinion, this is a hotel for every recommendation, where the ratio of prices and quality of service is excellent, 10/10. Special thanks to Ammar and his father, who later drove us to Wadi Rum.

From the moment we arrived at Petra Moon Hotel, we received the best hospitality imaginable. A refreshing welcome drink and snack as the friendly staff checked us into our beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable room. Impeccable service and a wide selection of delicious fresh food at the stunning rooftop sunset dinner. The manager and kitchen staff were attentive to our every need, including answering all my questions about the ingredients of the various local dishes. A fantastic breakfast buffet- perfect for fuelling up for a long day at Petra. We even enjoyed a lovely complimentary smoothie and a nice chat with the staff as we cooled down in reception while we waited for our driver, long after our check-out time. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay a second night to enjoy the pool and another relaxing dinner after our long walk in Petra. The hotel is perfectly situated beside the Petra Museum and Visitor Centre, so we could have enjoyed a leisurely stroll around these facilities if we had had more time. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel, for its excellent facilities, food and staff.

This place in Dana is a MUST VISIT in Jordan! We stayed at many hotels including 5 stars resorts, but nothing beats this place! Dana luxury hut was the main highlight of our Jordan trip! First of all, Dana luxury hut is situated in a very beautiful valley, the scenic drive to the hut is also an experience on its own. Second of all: The owner and his family are the friendliest and kindest people we met in Jordan. The moment we arrived at the hut, we got warmly welcomed, provided a valet service to park our car, the owner helped us carry our luggages, and when we were showed to our room we knew right away this was going to be an amazing experience: the view is simply breathtaking from the room, you can watch the sunset from the balcony, the room has nice private bathroom with hot water, fast wifi, clean towels, very comfort bed, and a heater if you come during winter / a fan if you come during summer. I highly recommend to take both dinner and breakfast package as the food prepared was amazing! Lastly, the best experience during our stay was the morning hike activity, we took the 3hrs short trail to the mountain with a very amazing and funny guide, it started 8.30am after the breakfast and we were safely guided to see the beautiful valleys, rocks, plantation , complete with bedouin tea experience. WE LOVED IT! We left the place with heavy heart because we felt like we found good friends as the family of the owner really treat us like their family. God bless you all, thank you for making our trip!

I couldn’t recommend any other hotel for your stay, I was in shock with the exceptional welcome from the employees of the hotel 🙏🏽 without hesitation they recommended us the best restaurants to go, they made sure we felt at home. We had to leave early morning for our flight, and at that time breakfast was still not available and they opened the place earlier just for us to have breakfast before we left to the airport 🥹😭 we were in shock, how kind, such an amazing gesture. Everything super clean, staff so friendly, and such a hard employees 🙏🏽 thank you so much ♥️

I loved the place, very authentic and you can feel the simplicity in every corner, staff were so friendly and ensuring you have comfortable stay. Common area and dining hall have great view of the village. My friend and I did a private tour and it was amazing and very affordable. witnessed sunset and headed back to the hotel. The food was so delicious. Variety of traditional dishes with ( with vegetarian options too). Room and bathroom were basic but clean. We had a great time. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Probably my rating or comment is not suitable for every travelers as foreigner but living in Jordan for long time. Definitely, I need 5 star hotels in Dead Sea or Aqaba to refresh myself and my family regularly. But Dana is a great place to also have regular visit as it is located within 2.5 hours range from my home in Amman, and to experience this great nature in reasonable expense. After over 10 years of staying in this country, as a person like to sleep under the millions of stars, Dana is most frequently visited location at the recent years of my life in Jordan.

we have encountered fraudulent behavior on the part of the accommodation operator. after making the reservation via "booking.com" we arrived to the location - meeting with the resort representative "Ahmad" we were taken to another camp resort ( very old, nor matching the pictures during the booking, empty ) being told that the other "camp" is full... but 1 room could still be found - as long as we're happy to pay double price. We accepted as we're in the middle of desert. But this was clearly deliberate fraudulent conduct. Our recommendation would be for Booking.com not to keep contractual relationship with such accommodation providers.

The village has been abandoned and then rebuilt as a hotel. It sits above a valley and has a stunning view that goes all the way to the Dead Sea. The very friendly Musaad made sure that everyone felt welcome and helped. He also set up a guide for our trip to the nearby Sela' fortress, which is a very interesting Nabataean site. A beautiful spot away from the crowds of tourists, a chance to see the real Jordan.

Petra is always a magical place in your imagination. However it does not compare to the real thing! No matter how vivid your imagination! You need at least two whole days if not three to really enjoy the sights of Petra. We stayed a short distance away from the visitor center closer to the town centre where there are lovely restaurants and a more local vibe. It's better to take it easier and absorb the local culture and ancient history.

Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from Petra. Suggest you take a car to the top (Rear) of Petra and enter near the monastery then walk down hill towards the entrance as it is a big day of walking. Hotel has lovely staff and very helpful. Every night was a large outdoor fire with tea service and music while the hills had lights on them for great photos. Suggest spending two nights in this hotel min maybe 3-4 nights to experience all the surround areas.
