Awesome surf town.
Awesome surf town. It's quiet in mid-week and then picks up on the weekends. There's always plenty of places to eat at and people to meet. Surf scene is very strong there and the waves, though small in summer, were still super fun riding a midlength. Sunset surfs are amazing here. In summer you won't be ripping big walls or getting barrelled, but you can get some nice long rides on a big enough board and the place is beautiful. + Japanese food and surrounds. The town that sits behind the surf scene has great authentic places, rice farms and overall character.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Small town with beautiful views, friendly locals, and plenty of good food. However it is really quiet and slow-placed. For me this was perfect, but if you are looking for vibrant night life and activity, you'd be advised to explore a larger city. I chose this place for the cable car to the top of the mountain and the walk through the historic temple grounds. It’s certainly a wow place walking through the wooded mountain paths and finding surprising history and monuments at each turn.
