This hotel is just a stone from the morning market, and a few attractions are within walking distance. The hotel's design has made it a whole new experience level as it was relaxed and comfortable. The staff spoke fluent English and was helpful. Shout out to the front desk, who helped us with the check-in; it was smooth and pleasant with his assistance.

The location is convenient which near to JR station, around 5 mins by walk. The hot spring in the hotel and sky lounge makes very comfortable (except you need to take the towels by yourself) The breakfast buffet serves well and lots of choice with high quality!

With my wife we stop here on our way to Sapporo. The Onuma quasi national park was amazing itself, lots of birds and the path along the lake is awesome. The hotel was an experience. The interior design with beautiful wood crafted statues made the stay exceptional. I am a smoker and even if in the hotel is not alowed to smoke, the smoking room was comfortable and easy to reach. The rooms are big, extremely clean and there is all you need in them. The view on the lake from our room was great. We had the breakfast which was varied and of high quality. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, and for my wife, which is vegan, they arranged a great breakfast too. Finally consideration the staff. They all speak English, they are extremely polite and will to help you in order to make your stay pleasant. I absolutely recommend a stay in this hotel to enjoy the wonder of this naturalistic area!

We loved everything about this hotel - the service, the breakfasts, the large and well equipped bedroom and the delightful lounge with music and free wine. If we come back to Hakodate (which we liked very much) we will stay here again

It is a fully facilitated one-bedroom apartment, spacious and with a full kitchen and a balcony that comes with a great view! The location was also pretty great. It is only a short walk to the Hakodate JR station and the Red Brick Warehouse (within 10mins). The tram stop is roughly 3min walk away door-to-door. We really enjoyed the apartment.

Food is certaiy a plus, particularly seafood, and prices are lower than elsewhere. Also, compared to larger towns on Honshu, it has a frontier-type of vibe.

    Assabu is a charming and quiet town in southern Hokkaido, perfect for travelers looking to experience the slower, more authentic side of Japan. Surrounded by lush forests and farmland, it offers a peaceful retreat from the busier tourist spots. While Assabu is small, it has a few unique and culturally rich spots that we visited: 1. Assabu Kyodo Shiryokan – A local history museum that gives insight into the town’s heritage. 2. Assabu Shinrin Tenjikan – A forest-themed museum showcasing the region’s natural environment. Gallery Somabito – A quaint shop featuring local crafts and handmade goods. 3. Michi-no-Eki Assabu – A roadside station where you can find local produce, souvenirs, and snacks. The town is also known for its connection to hinoki-asunaro (thujopsis) forests, which are rare this far north in Japan.     Hakodate is a beautiful scenic town surrounded by mountains.

    Hakodate is a beautiful scenic town surrounded by mountains. It's right on the port so lovely for a summers day. We enjoyed our 3 days here, going up Mt Hakodate and walking around the pretty streets. It would be a beautiful spot in Winter when there is snow.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly. There is much to see and do especially in the Spring season. Travelling around on the tram was very convenient. We really enjoyed Goryokaku Park, Mt Hakodate and Hakodate Park. Also enjoyed Morning Fish Market, Museum Ship Red brick Warehouese. Places of interest included Old Public Hall of Hakodate and Museum of Northern Peoples. The fish market in early morning and salt ramen very good.
