This is a perfect place to stay for the night before you board your cruise the next day. The hotel has an elevator connecting the underground walkway with its building so you can immediately go to the building from the subway. Clean room, great location, friendly staff, amazing view. The interior design was minimalist which we really liked. There is a Lawson downstairs in the neighboring building but we couldn't find it. Can't comment on the sky pool or breakfast since we didn't try them.

We had an amazing stay at the Metropolitan Hotel! The staff were the kindest, most generous and helpful we’ve met in Japan, truly the best hospitality we experienced. We stayed for 1 night at Hote Metropolitan Kawasaki when we arrived in Tokyo. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The room is spacious by Japanese standards. Even the toilet and bath has so much room for our stuff and do not feel cramped at all. Breakfast was included in our rate. The breakfast spread was more than enough and we loved everything - eggs, bacons, sausage, cereals, soup, salad... it has everything and more. I truly believe we got our money's worth. Even the staff - couldn't say anything negative, they were accommodating and helpful.

The hotel is stunning and luxurious. It kind of feels like being at The Plaza in NYC. Hotel staff the most courteous I’ve experienced. Well trained, impecable manners and attire. Valet personnel help you load and unload from your ride. I would just go back to Yokohama for the hotel! We got a sea view room with a perfect view. Highly recommend it!

    Great place to explore and recharge at the same time.

    Great place to explore and recharge at the same time. We spent only two days and would spend a few more days if we knew how great this place is. Plan your day early as everything is quiet after 5pm. The time spent travelling from/to places is considerably longer than any other places we stayed in Japan. We bought the Hakone 2 days free pass and is well worth it. Its a great place for photography enthusiasts :)

    We were attending a event in Kawasaki so that is why we stayed there. We didn't really do much sight-seeing in Kawasaki. We liked that the city was only a short train ride to many other cities like downtown Toyko and Yokohama. We enjoyed the many shopping and restaurants around Kawasaki Station.

    Very nice city, plenty of historical sights, shopping, restaurants. Make sure it is not a national holiday though, the local train was absolutely packed! Many people make the trek to ride the nostalgic Enoden Electric Line, a fun trip along the coast but crushing crowds on a Sunday before a holiday.

    It might not be for everyone, have to take one stop to Ofuna...

    It might not be for everyone, have to take one stop to Ofuna to transfer to other JR lines but very convenient visiting Kamakura and Enoshima. Plenty of stores around Fujusawa station for shopping. Airport bus to Narita and Haneda airports, although schedules not as frequent as pre-COVID check in advance.

    Atsugi is a lovely smaller town & I was fortunate to be there during their festival weekend, fireworks included. The people are incredible friendly & helpful. If you hire a car & able to drive up into the mountains well worth it. It’s not as busy & not as many European travelers being off the beaten track.definitely a slower lifestyle great food experience.

    Our stay was excellent for me, location is near to public transportation (train) good restaurants are walkable and convinient stores too. The entire hotel is clean and offers good, delicious breakfast. Room was clean. Comfort room is kinda small but clean. Everything is excellent for me except the bed and pillows are not so soft.. because I was expecting a very soft pillows and bed but aside from that I enjoyed staying there. Staffs are so accommodating and very helpful too. I definitely recommend this hotel and surely I will come back here in my future vacation in Japan.

    Yokosuka is an awesome place to visit.

    Yokosuka is an awesome place to visit. There’s something for everyone whether you’re a nature lover or a city lover you’ll find something to do. During my visit. I went to kanonzaki park by bus and it was the highlight of my trip. It’s my second time visiting Yokosuka and can’t wait to go there again.

    Hiratsuka offers a lot to travelers wanting to explore and be adventurous. Its proximity to places like Kamakura, Yokohama other places of interest makes it an excellent place to stay. The town is just the right size, friendly locals, shopping places and excellent places to eat. Walk around and get to know the place - you might find yourself wanting to visit again and again.
