The best hostel I stayed, perfect for solo traveling. We loved the traditional Japanese feel of accomodation whilst having an abundance of modern amenities (bathroom amenities, replacement towels and bottled water, hairdryer, curler and straightener, coffee and kettle, mini fridge). The accommodation was very clean and well maintained and our party of 4 (two adults and two teenage boys) enjoyed being the only guests. Use of the sauna was lovely of an evening during the winter and having breakfast included in the lovely modern restaurant downstairs was a great - the choice of either western or Japanese breakfast suited out teenage boys and both options were lovely. The location is close to the local electric rail station and walking distance to an abundance of cafe’s, restaurants and shops as well as the Great Buddha, Hasedera Temple, Goryo Shrine and of course the beach. We loved being immersed in the local neighbourhood whilst being so close to all of the above. The staff were all friendly and attentive would we highly recommend this accommodation.

The Yen Hotel is my regular place to stay when I'm in Fujisawa. It's about a 10-minute walk from JR Fujisawa Station, but it's located in a residential area along the Sakai River, and it's in a safe environment. If you walk along the promenade along the Sakai River, you'll be able to reach the famous Enoshima Island. In spring, the cherry blossom trees along the Sakai River are also beautiful. It's a small hotel, but the service is above average.

It is conveniently located in Shonandai, Fujisawa city. Shonandai Station is on the Odakyu Enoshima Line, Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line, and Sotetsu Izumino Line. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the station exit. The rooms are very simple but kept clean. The hotel staff are very polite. There are many restaurants around the hotel.

The place is absolutely amazing, I chose it for the views and I was absolutely wowed by it. Great bed with window on the ocean, breath taking sunset. The fact that is in front of a busy street doesn't disrupt your sleep so that is not a problem. It's a wonder even when the weather isn't summery. Loved it and hope I will be able to go back.

Good price and quality ratio for experiencing japan style hotel. Even though reseptionist did not speak english there was no problem whith comunication as she used google translate to explain. They had separate private bath that could be reserved the same day and it was included in price. Also welcoming tea was really good.

We loved our stay in Zushi and hope to return. The beach was beautiful and the location was excellent. Views of Mt. Fuji from the beach were wonderful. It was countryside compared to where we live, but still convenient with stores and restaurants walking distance away. It was a little too loud in the evenings for a family with children. But we definitely hope to visit again.

Fujisawa is wonderful and relaxed, and we come here at least 3 times per year to get away from the city. It's so nice to be able to come and NOT rush, which is why we now always stay overnight. Otherwise it's too stressful to do and see things and then get back on a train to go home on the same day. There ARE vegetarian and vegan-friendly places, but you have to find them. Use Happy Cow or another search engine to research before you come. Otherwise you'll be eating dinner at a convenience store (which isn't awful). Also, there aren't many places to eat breakfast unless you're ok with just a bakery.

It’s a small city, yet popular with tourists thanks to its blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. While some spots can get quite crowded, those who enjoy hiking can escape the crowds by booking a local guide and exploring the mountain trails. These paths lead to hidden shrines and temples, offering not only a peaceful atmosphere but also stunning views.
