- From $317.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 527 reviewsThe staff there were all very friendly and helpful. I tried out the traditional Japanese room and it was the biggest room I ever lived traveling in Japan. On the first night it was even a bit frightening (if you are a Japanese horror movie lover). But I had 2 good night of sleeps there and the tatami was comfortable too. The staff there will help you to set up the bed and pillows which was very nice. they would light a night lamp for you after making the bed and it feels like home when you come back. The public bath is very comfortable too and I loved it. The location is perfect and it’s right after the Nara Kintetsu. I recommend this hotel and will definitely visit back.Guest review bycassiChina
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 709 reviewsStay there at end of 2024. Location was great as it was between Nara Station and Kintensu Nara Station. Clean Small room but that is typical in Japan. The people at the front desk was friendly and speak good English. They greeted me everytime i go out or come back to the hotel. There were a lot restaurants nearby so choice of foods was endless. Konbini store was nearby.Nara park was a 20 minute walk. Tourist shopping areas was a 10 minute walk. WIFI connection was strong. Windows can be open for fresh air. The bathtub was awesome! You can soak in there for hours as it was deep.😅😅Guest review byKazui80Brunei
- From $242.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,147 reviewsOverall we had a wonderful stay. The hotel is right next to the station which is very convenient, the staff was super friendly and everything was perfectly clean. They even assigned a larger room to us, which made our stay even more comfortable. We didn't use the onsen, but in theory we could've used it for free. After checkout, the hotel staff offered to store our luggage free of charge, which was very convenient in order for us to explore the nearby deer park before heading to the next city.Guest review byOliverGermany
- From $476.28 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 553 reviewsThe location and the vibe. It's close enough to the main attractions (especially with the shuttle bus service), yet offers sufficient respite from the bustling city. The facilities are great and as shown in photos. The room is clean and comfy. The meals provided are awesome and with lots of varieties to let us have a taste of the various traditional Japanese food. Last and most importantly, the service is really top-notch. Special thanks to Sho-san for making sure we are well taken care of.Guest review byRu JinSingapore

I didn’t check closing times of temples and it was hard to determine the last buses back from further out locations. I did end up having a nice evening walk along a riverside to find a train station to come back into town.Guest review byStephanieAustralia - 10.0

Tenri is not as well-known as Nara or Asuka, but the area is dotted with dozens of key-hole shaped kofun, ancient burial mounds. Some are accessible and many are how they have been for hundreds of years.Guest review byBernadetteJapan - 10.0

i liked the Kashihara Jingu and the visit to various burial places of former tenno. on my last day, i visited the Omiwa Jinja; there is an observation hill where you could watch the sunset over Kashihara city. walking around town however, you can notice the signs of declining population and abandoned shops. there are a few good ramen shops in the area if you know where to find them, like Saika Ramen, highly recommended for its spicy flavour.Guest review byGaryIndia - 10.0

Nara is beautiful.
Nara is beautiful. There are two UNESCO world heritage sites and lots of deer. If you are afraid of animals, I don't recommend it. The deer will follow you if you have food and they may try to take it from you if you hesitate or don't gently push them away. They are not, as a general rule, aggressive. A lot of tourists freak out and just throw their crackers. Don't do that. Stay calm. The deer don't want to hurt you, they just want a snack. They don't care for being pet either. Just snap your crackers (200 yen sold at different stands) into 3-4 pieces, hold out your hand flat and let them take it from you. Be aware of how many are around you. They will surround and nibble your clothing. I found this hilarious. I grew up with cows and they will pretty much do the same thing. Use your voice and be gentle. The one day bus pass is really useful. I wish I had more time in Nara.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 10.0
Nara Koen (park) is a beautiful place.
Nara Koen (park) is a beautiful place. Todaiji and Kasuga Kaisha is located nearby. The Sarusawa Ike (pond) behind the Nara Park leads to shopping place. One can spend whole day around Nara. - Beware of the deer, they might get a bit aggressive when offering food. - It gets crowded during on-season.Guest review byLopa
