- From US$179.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 3,505 reviewsThis is a unique place and great value for money. affordable, nice design, great breakfasts, clean, with an amazing onsen that has a view on Sumida river bridges and skytree all lit at night. Onsen is open from 6am so can watch a sunrise, and at night so can watch the lights. Rooms are small but perfectly placed, desk is large and great for remote work. Wifi is free and perfectly survived my work calls. There is laundry coin machine and laundry service, microwave, vending machine with drinks, restaurant open at night. The hotel is a walking distance to one of the most beautiful temples in Tokyo, Senso-ji, and all the surrounding shopping streets and food stands. The hotel is placed between two stations on the Asakusa line and connects well with Ginza and Oedo lines.Guest review byNataliaNetherlands
- From US$157.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,823 reviewsI liked the location it was not as busy but next to the train station so everything was easy to reach. The hotel is nice. I know that people complained that there is only one elevator but I never waited long for it that was completely fine and not a problem at all. I got a room with a view over the city i requested that before. I liked it a lot that you get an amenity pack everyday. Also the bed was comfortable for me. I don’t have anything to complain it was a cheap stay and you got a good service. I would definitely come back again.Guest review byRicardaGermany

Tokyo is a very interesting & entertaining city.
Tokyo is a very interesting & entertaining city. I took some tours and thoroughly enjoyed them. This is not my first time in Tokyo, and there is still so much to see. I would return in a drop of a hat and spend more time here in Tokyo.Guest review byStephanie VillalbaAustralia - 10.0
Love this neighbourhood.
Love this neighbourhood. I lived in Japan for several years, 2 decades ago, and I have gone back a few times for a visit. First time for me to be in Tachikawa. It has great vibe, a bit of hustle bustle, but not crowded and suffocating like Shinjuku or Shibuya. Lots of shops and cheap restaurants. Not touristy at all and you can observe locals doing their everyday business if that is your thing.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Side city of tokyo not crowded by foreign tourists, Short distance from place with great nature like Hachioji castle ruins, mount takao and sagamiko. Also good shopping experience in downtown and neighboring cities.Guest review byIriyaaMalaysia - 10.0

Fuchu was a wonderful town to stay in on the outskirts of Tokyo. It has a slower, more relaxed atmosphere than central tokyo. The people were friendly and there was plenty to do and see. The tree lined main street leading to the temple was beautiful. And there were some local parks that were nice to walk to.Guest review bymitchUnited States - 10.0
Machida has everything you need for shopping plus the Odakyu...
Machida has everything you need for shopping plus the Odakyu Line into Shinjuku or the Yokohama Line into Yokohama if you need to hit the big time. Still comoared to most North American towns, Westerners will think Machida is HUUUUGE and super busy. For Kanto region I'd saw it's a hub for Kanagawa but manageable. Food choices at and around the station are excellent. Hotels are way cheaper than in central Tokyo yet you are only 30 to 60 mins on any train to wherever you need to go. Direct buses from Narita and Henda airports as well so no need to deal with hauling luggage on trains. Or just takyubin (courier) luggage to Mahcida from airport.Guest review byBDonutCanada - 10.0
The city is literally amazing.
The city is literally amazing. Everything you could want is right there in your hotel or walking distance. Great cafes, izakayas, shopping, exploring-literally everything. Not as busy as some areas in Tokyo, and I fell in love. Will be back soon.Guest review byChristopherUnited States - 8.0
The island is lovely and has many outdoor activities.
The island is lovely and has many outdoor activities. But you will likely need to rent a car to reach some of the more remote areas easily. There are buses and taxis, but you may have to wait quite a bit of time. Many of the restaurants will close during the afternoon and early evening, so be sure to have some snacks prepared or stay in a place with a kitchen.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo.
Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo. We explored the beautiful Inokashira Park and other points further west such as Chofu and Koganei. We ate at a great izakaya that specialises in squid called Totomaro. There's plenty of shopping, including Don Quijote and Yuzawaya. Kichijoji is on the Chuo line which connects with Shinjuku and Tokyo stations. It's also really well serviced with buses.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 10.0

We stayed for 8 days in Tokyo but based ourselves at 1 Hotel. In hindsight I would move about to experience more of the neighborhoods, selecting Hotels near the Yaminoto train loop. We have stayed at a Nikko Hotel and it was first rate so I would look at that chain for accommodation. Once we mastered the ticket machines, we found the train system easy to navigate and we explored many different parts of Tokyo. We also did our own trip to Lake Kowaguchiko by train to see Mt Fuji, which was easily done. One thing to note when using Shinkansen trains and the Tokyo Stations, you need to put in all of the tickets you are given into the station gates to exit the station or the barriers won’t open.Guest review byElaineAustralia - 10.0

I went to Tachikawa for a concert at Tachikawa Stage Garden and it was my very first time visiting there. Life in Tachikawa seems to be a bit more laid-back than central Tokyo even though it's a big city as well. Meaning, you get to enjoy the convience and entertainment of what big cities offer, but it's a bit less crowded and less chaotic. Showa Kinen National Park is a great place. I spent two afternoons there to clear my head and connect with nature. Highly recommend. I'll definately be back for the unexplored spots such as the art museums and many eateries.Guest review byPei HsuanUnited Kingdom
