- From $286.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 9,877 reviewsI am not sure why this hotel has such a low rating (7.9 at this moment). If you cross out the line to the restaurant in the early morning and a bit worn out parts of the interior, I really have absolutely zero issues with the place. We got lucky to stay in the top floor room of the main tower (36F) and it was amazing. Great room with a panoramic window, set up just right to enjoy it all. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We've enjoyed the breakfast very much (the main restaurant is the best). If you do not rush in the earliest hour - there is no line at all. If you do, the waiting time is just 10-15 minutes. The table reservation system is very clear and convenient, Great variety of food, a lot of new tastes for us Europeans. It's also a very convenient location, just a few meters from the Shinagawa station - everything you need is a few train stops away. Very quick connection with Haneda airport and the rest of the city.Guest review byAleksejLithuania

Tokyo is an incredible place to go.
Tokyo is an incredible place to go. Loved the friendly people, very safe, beautiful vibrant city. Enjoyed the tasty food and prices were reasonable, the culture, subway system is very good. Stayed and explored in and around Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, vintage shopping Shimokitazawa. Tons of shopping and eating areas. Was there for the World Championship that was an awesome event. We want to go back and see more of Japan such as Osaka and more.Guest review byDebbieCanada - 10.0
Love this neighbourhood.
Love this neighbourhood. I lived in Japan for several years, 2 decades ago, and I have gone back a few times for a visit. First time for me to be in Tachikawa. It has great vibe, a bit of hustle bustle, but not crowded and suffocating like Shinjuku or Shibuya. Lots of shops and cheap restaurants. Not touristy at all and you can observe locals doing their everyday business if that is your thing.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Fuchu was a wonderful town to stay in on the outskirts of Tokyo. It has a slower, more relaxed atmosphere than central tokyo. The people were friendly and there was plenty to do and see. The tree lined main street leading to the temple was beautiful. And there were some local parks that were nice to walk to.Guest review bymitchUnited States - 10.0

Machida has everything you need for shopping plus the Odakyu Line into Shinjuku or the Yokohama Line into Yokohama if you need to hit the big time. Still comoared to most North American towns, Westerners will think Machida is HUUUUGE and super busy. For Kanto region I'd saw it's a hub for Kanagawa but manageable. Food choices at and around the station are excellent. Hotels are way cheaper than in central Tokyo yet you are only 30 to 60 mins on any train to wherever you need to go. Direct buses from Narita and Henda airports as well so no need to deal with hauling luggage on trains. Or just takyubin (courier) luggage to Mahcida from airport.Guest review byBDonutCanada - 10.0
The city is literally amazing.
The city is literally amazing. Everything you could want is right there in your hotel or walking distance. Great cafes, izakayas, shopping, exploring-literally everything. Not as busy as some areas in Tokyo, and I fell in love. Will be back soon.Guest review byChristopherUnited States - 8.0
The island is lovely and has many outdoor activities.
The island is lovely and has many outdoor activities. But you will likely need to rent a car to reach some of the more remote areas easily. There are buses and taxis, but you may have to wait quite a bit of time. Many of the restaurants will close during the afternoon and early evening, so be sure to have some snacks prepared or stay in a place with a kitchen.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo.
Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo. We explored the beautiful Inokashira Park and other points further west such as Chofu and Koganei. We ate at a great izakaya that specialises in squid called Totomaro. There's plenty of shopping, including Don Quijote and Yuzawaya. Kichijoji is on the Chuo line which connects with Shinjuku and Tokyo stations. It's also really well serviced with buses.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 10.0
Overall ,a very nice neighborhood and surrounding area.
Overall ,a very nice neighborhood and surrounding area. Can't give more details as it was our first time visiting here. Train station is a short 10 min walk and we felt safe the entire time.. The hotel could stand to replace the carpets ,But the hotel was very clean and quiet. Customer service was awesome despite the challenging language barrier. Life is an adventure and so are vacations. You just have to embrace it.Guest review byDavid KramerUnited States - 10.0
Tokyo is intense.
Tokyo is intense. It was the 4th country on our world trip, and the ads everywhere felt like a full-on assault on the eyeballs. We took the metro for everything, which is great… if you enjoy being thoroughly confused and slightly panicked at all times. After a week in Shanghai, where commuting was a breeze, this felt like navigating a video game on expert mode, but we got used to always being lost and somehow ending up exactly where we weren’t supposed to be. Shopping was best at Sunshine Mall...why waste time at stores I can visit at home? Food is amazing and cheap. The locals are incredibly nice… though English speakers are few, which kept things interesting. Overall, it’s chaotic, overwhelming, and kind of brilliant all at once. You need a Suica Card on your phone traveling on the metro without it is a nightmare. Non-Japanese credit cards aren’t accepted, and the app is in Japanese, so good luck following any instructions. I used a Wise digital card on my phone, which works like a Visa and is accepted by Suica. Here’s how we set it up: add the Wise card to your phone like any other visa, then add money to Suica after adding it under transit. Enable Express Mode on Suica so you can just tap your phone over the IC circle at the metro gate (on the back of the phone, not the front). A few stores in malls didn’t accept tap or our credit cards, but Suica worked perfectly. You can transfer up to 20,000 yen at a time from Wise to Suica (the maximum balance on Suica is 20,000 yen, so if you already have 100, you can only add 19,900 more). For larger purchases, just keep transferring money in batches until you cover the total. This method saved us countless headaches and made paying for transit and shopping much easier.Guest review byAnitaCanada
