The famous Chureito Pagoda is just a short walk away, making it very easy to visit. The shuttle bus takes only 6 minutes to reach the Kawaguchiko station.The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide range of options to satisfy every taste. The sushi, in particular, was outstanding. While not every guest may be lucky enough to get a perfect view of Mount Fuji, it’s still a beautiful place, and the overall experience was fantastic. The view of the lake from the hotel was just stunning, such a peaceful, picturesque setting. We are a party of 2 adults and 1 child but we chose the chalet which can accompany 6 people because of the view of the Fujisan and it was all worth it! The house is very cozy and we felt at home. The kitchen was well equipped they even gave us the condiments to cook. The beds are futon Japanese style. Amazing patio with a view and they can provide BBQ at extra charge. Plenty of parking spaces and there is a small children playground in front. We really felt at home while staying 3 nights there and will definitely return. The room had the most comfy beds and high quality, eco friendly amenities, and a amazing view of Yamanashi and Mount Fuji. The hotel is very charming and has an ample public bath with many shower heads and the best massage machine I've ever used (¥100 each 5 min). If you plan to visit the nearby Hottarakashi onsen, the staff will kindly lend you towels and schedule a taxi (it cost around ¥3000 the round trip). Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). Everything about Fujikawaguchiko is just perfect. Nice town, beautiful view of Mt Fuji. For an outdoor enthusiast, this town is perfect. It got mountains, nice enough for day hike. it got caves, lakes, old tunnel turn into a museum, ropeway, halal restaurant.
