- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 147 reviewsExquisite six room hotel in the countryside. Shuttle will pick you up at the station if you are not driving. Quiet, calm - perfect to get away from the hub bub of Japan's big cities! It is a splurge but the rooms are huge and beautiful. There is a private hot spring for the use of guests only - it is outside and the water is truly mineral saturated. We went once before dinner and once in the evening which was magical. Breakfast is included - delicious and served in the bar area or in your room. There is a restaurant next door that is associated with the hotel - "western" themed because of the horse riding vibe and the food was delicious. And finally, the added bonus is the Keith Haring Museum beside the hotel - spectacular building and collection. All in all the Percy was to spend two nights to relax and recharge...which we did.Guest review byEricCanada
- From $550.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,531 reviewsThe staff were very nice and made check in very smooth, and showed any events at the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous. Room included an entryway, dining, bedroom, seating, Balcony and Bathroom with Onsen. Onsen was the perfect temperature with a view and windows that slid open for a lake view. There was also a private onsen facing Fuji with available time slots.Guest review byMonicaJapan

We were able to take great pictures of Mt Fuji from our window. The onsen and buffet was great. The price was affordable for a group of 8 with free breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and Yukata was included. Highly recommendedGuest review byMiyoUnited States - 10.0
I recommend staying.
I recommend staying. I wrote a long review separately which I hope is useful; please refer to that. In addition, for young children, you can visit the sheep shed where they keep the sheep to see sheep up close, wander down and the up the hill behind reception, and get the best tasting soft serve ever from the restaurant!Guest review byDavinosJapan - 10.0

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 8.0
We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek.
We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek. There were some tourists, but not very many. It was good to have a car to explore. We went to -Kofu Castle Ruins (peak bloom time!) -Yamanashi Fruit Park -Maglev Exhibition Center We ate at -TREE Anthony's Kitchen (AMAZING Greek Food) -Kaosen Thai (eh)Guest review byPena - 10.0
Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination,...
Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.Guest review byVillageOneJapan - 10.0
Everything about Fujikawaguchiko is just perfect.
Everything about Fujikawaguchiko is just perfect. Nice town, beautiful view of Mt Fuji. For an outdoor enthusiast, this town is perfect. It got mountains, nice enough for day hike. it got caves, lakes, old tunnel turn into a museum, ropeway, halal restaurant. I just love Fujikawaguchiko and its beauty.Guest review byZelaMalaysia - 10.0

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hrGuest review byLiCanada - 10.0

If you are looking to escape from tourist areas and visit the country side of Japan? Then this place is it! There is hot springs everywhere and it is near Mt Fuji so tons of mountains around. Incredibly serene and quieter than areas like Hakone. ( Hakone is VERY beautiful but tons of tourist)Guest review byElianaUnited States - 10.0
The place was amazing.
The place was amazing. The people of Fujikawaguchiko were friendly and helpful. The landscape and nature was beautiful. From biking around the lake, walking to the waterfall and hiking on the trails it was wonderful. Although tourists ourselves, I wish those visiting would be better examples to the countries they represent.Guest review byHeidiAustralia
