- From US$343 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 279 reviewsThe staff was attentive, professional, friendly, helpful and attentive. The property and grounds were picturesque. The grounds were very well kept. The details of everything is something to see. The fresh fruit and food was delicious. There were many good vegan, vegetarian options to choose from, which was helpful because I am a vegan. My husband enjoyed the meat options. The various amounts of drink options were also appreciated. Our visit to beautiful Mombasa, Kenya was an experience and our stay at Serena Beach Resort & Spa was an experience just in itself. I don't even think we had walked the entire compound as there were several areas for restaurants, activities, wine/cocktail bar/poolside bar seating and other multi-purpose seating areas. The steps that led us to the beautiful bech held even more opportunities to enjoy water activities, ride a catamaran boat out to feed and swim with the fish (look for Ali because he was wonderful), take photos with the camels, get your name carved in wood, and shop at the local pop up on the beach- so bring some Kenyan shilling. We got lucky and played football with the local young kids on the beach! It rained more than usual so we weren't able to hop on the jet skis this time. We truly loved every minute of my stay and have aspirations to return again someday. I am highly recommending Serena Beach Resort & Spa to anyone who is going to stay in Mombasa, Kenya. I am also recommending Kenya in general because it was a beautiful place with beautiful people. Thank you all so much for an unforgettably amazing trip! Asanti San!Guest review byAMBERUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 487 reviewsChoosing Baobab for a beach holiday was the best decision ever!!! From the very first minute of our stay, we felt so much care and attention - everything was super comfortable. Everyone is cheerful and always ready to help. The territory of the hotel is large and beautiful, with three amazing pools, water activities, Zumba, football, volleyball, and much more - so you’re not going to get bored. The food at the all-inclusive restaurants is delicious, with a good variety. Every restaurant has ocean views from the window tables. Every evening there are creative performances by the talented Jambo Team 😍 The beautiful beach is very close and you can see it from your hotel room. It’s a paradise vacation, highly recommend!!! 🔥❤️Guest review byMaksymUkraine
- From US$163.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 5.8Passable - What previous guests thought, 161 reviewsI had a fantastic stay at Reef Hotel in Nyali. The staff were warm and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special with a decorated room, singing, dancing, and a surprise cake during dinner. The beachfront location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent with a mix of Swahili dishes, fresh fruits, omelettes, pastries, and cereals. A perfect blend of relaxation, great service, and Kenyan hospitality — highly recommended!Guest review byGKenya
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 273 reviewsThe staff were excellent and were always ready to assist. Staying in this unique lodge with swing bridges and watching elephants wandering by from our room was a blast! The small group safaris were safe, fun, and well organized in the pop top jeeps . The food in the restaurants was delicious. We also enjoyed time at the pool . Brilliant holidayGuest review bySandyNew Zealand

The service is really good, from room service for food to laundry and transportation arrangements. The Lemongrass restaurant is a very nice and romantic restaurant inside the resort. Powdery white sand that is very easy to walk on.
Powdery white sand that is very easy to walk on. The reef about 500-600m offshore breaks the outer waves so inside the reef is moderately calm. Water shoes recommended due to sea urchins in some areas. A nice beach for walking, but you will be approached by vendors. A polite 'no' is usually sufficient. Several excellent places to eat along the stretch of beach where we stayed - Nomad's, Faulty's at the Flamboyant, Ali Barbour's Cave (reservation required), and Asha Boutique (Friday night beach buffet).Guest review byKenBinCanadaCanada - 10.0

Some really good beaches... very full day trips on boats... lots of stalls to purchase things... good supermarkets on the main road if you are staying in a villa... due to the heavy Italian tourist presence, there are plenty of great eateries and restaurants... easy to get around on motorbike or tuk tuk... generally very safe compared to Nairobi.Guest review byAsefUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Malindi is currently regarded as the "dead town" but in my opinion, it's the perfect escape from all sorts of pollution- Instantly replaced by the facinating historical landmarks like hell's kitchen & Mambrui in totality, peace & serene, are just some of the healing that Malindi has to offer.Guest review byKevinKenya - 8.0

Lamu is the real Swahili Coast. The atmosphère is authentic. With everyone on foot because there are no cars the sense of community is very strong. Architectural style of the village has been well maintained. There are good local eateries, and the peponi restaurant in Shella village is outstanding. We went everywhere by water taxi. Charming!Guest review byOnowheremanUnited States - 8.0

The apartment is very pretty and the terrace on the creek offers beautiful vieux. In the morning many monkeys come to say "hi" : it's very funny indeed. If you like to walk...it needs only 10 minutes to go in town. Close to the apartment there are 2 very nice restaurants on the sea, where it's possible to eat very good food.Guest review byBagnone - 8.0

It is not a place for a holiday, I was there to check on some of my Property but I was frustrated because I ended up staying for more Days than I had wanted. It is loud and congested.but if one has his own home is Ok but there are other nice places to enjoy and have fun It easy to get round Mtwapa, by Tax Tuk tuk and motor Bikes and public means of transport called Matatus.Guest review byRose - 10.0

Driving to the lodge didn’t encounter many animals due to bush and lava rock. But at Serena we saw hundreds of animals including many small babies come to the large waterhole right in front of us. So we did not bother with safari drive. This made for a very relaxing stayGuest review byAvalongirlAustralia - 10.0

Its a nice place with a beautiful beach with clear blue water. Water in the apartments are however salty, I assume its because of the beach surrounding the area. Food and activities are expensive around this area.Guest review byAyomideNigeria
