Everything is beautiful! Garden is so green, a lot of palms on the beach. The staff are very polite. The manager Pamela was so helpful in many things, she helped us to rent a motor bike with locals, and had organize a cake for our anniversary as a surprise.

The good part of this place is the location. We had friends that stayed at beach resorts who were just constantly approched on the beach and even sat in their resort outside. We had no problems as its hidden on a nice street away from the sellers but still a 1k cab ride if you do want to be on the beach. The roomswere spotless and as its a brandnew hotel you can tell that nothing has been used. I am sure no one had slept in the bed before I stayed there and its obvious. Mosiqutos plugs in all the rooms and air con switched on so when we arrived it was cool and insect free. Its a boutique hotel so unlike those massive resorts we get served and any request is quick. Food was great and lots of choices of accomodation styles for solo travellers, couples and families.

We were celebrating both our anniversary and my fiancée’s birthday, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it special. From the beautiful surprises they prepared for us, we felt genuinely valued and celebrated—something we will always be grateful for. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly 🫶🏾 welcomed with a refreshing drink and snacks at the reception. The staff not only greeted us with smiles but also took the time to give us a tour of the property and explain how everything works, which we truly appreciated. The buffet breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing—so many delicious options to choose from, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The restaurant staff were kind, attentive, and always made sure we were comfortable. The swimming pools and the private beach were simply the best—beautiful, clean, and safe, with incredibly comfortable sun beds that made relaxing so easy. A special shout-out to Mr. Bakari, who made sure our transport to the hotel was smooth and safe, and to Stephen, our driver, who not only got us there comfortably but also shared so much about the city that we felt welcomed before we even arrived. This stay was more than just a holiday—it was a memory we’ll always ❤️treasure.     WOW!!! Swahili Beach is exceptional! The location and rooms are exquisite, with opulent, stylish but comfortable decor. The architecture, pools and staff leave nothing to be desired. Our room was on an upper level with a huge, comfy bed, fan and air conditioner and a private and spacious balcony. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. We were initially booked for 4 days but extended our stay to 10 days, Rose, Charles and the guest services team were really helpful and Belinda and the other cleaning staff took really great care of our suite, keeping it beautifully clean for us. The security team were also very proactive and made sure our belongings were safe. While Lilian and the others at the hotel entrance and gate always offered us a friendly greeting whenever we went out to explore the area. There are a number of restaurants to choose from and we fell in love with the Tandoori chicken at the Indian restaurant served with a smile by Virginia. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up having dinner there most nights even though the main restaurant offered a delicious buffet with a wide selection to choose from. Swahili Beach is undoubtedly one of the top 10 places we've ever stayed, (and we've stayed in a lot of amazing places) - we would really love to return there someday - soon!!

    I had a fantastic stay at Reef Hotel in Nyali. The staff were warm and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special with a decorated room, singing, dancing, and a surprise cake during dinner. The beachfront location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent with a mix of Swahili dishes, fresh fruits, omelettes, pastries, and cereals. A perfect blend of relaxation, great service, and Kenyan hospitality — highly recommended!

    Definitely do the tour of Fort Jesus and hire a local, official guide. Be prepared that this is a largely Islamic culture. Gentlemen covering knees and women covering shoulders is a thing. Also, alcohol is not as commonly available as other cities. There is a street food tour that is fabulous. Highly recommend. Very informative.

    Powdery white sand that is very easy to walk on. The reef about 500-600m offshore breaks the outer waves so inside the reef is moderately calm. Water shoes recommended due to sea urchins in some areas. A nice beach for walking, but you will be approached by vendors. A polite 'no' is usually sufficient. Several excellent places to eat along the stretch of beach where we stayed - Nomad's, Faulty's at the Flamboyant, Ali Barbour's Cave (reservation required), and Asha Boutique (Friday night beach buffet).

    Some really good beaches... very full day trips on boats... lots of stalls to purchase things... good supermarkets on the main road if you are staying in a villa... due to the heavy Italian tourist presence, there are plenty of great eateries and restaurants... easy to get around on motorbike or tuk tuk... generally very safe compared to Nairobi.

    Malindi is currently regarded as the "dead town" but in my opinion, it's the perfect escape from all sorts of pollution- Instantly replaced by the facinating historical landmarks like hell's kitchen & Mambrui in totality, peace & serene, are just some of the healing that Malindi has to offer.

    Lamu is the real Swahili Coast. The atmosphère is authentic. With everyone on foot because there are no cars the sense of community is very strong. Architectural style of the village has been well maintained. There are good local eateries, and the peponi restaurant in Shella village is outstanding. We went everywhere by water taxi. Charming!

    It's has variety of things. Great restaurants nearby like the Istanbul Beach Cave Restaurant. Great malls and entertainment joints. It was exciting to learn that the Old Bobs is the new 1922 club.

    The apartment is very pretty and the terrace on the creek...

    The apartment is very pretty and the terrace on the creek offers beautiful vieux. In the morning many monkeys come to say "hi" : it's very funny indeed. If you like to walk...it needs only 10 minutes to go in town. Close to the apartment there are 2 very nice restaurants on the sea, where it's possible to eat very good food.

    It is not a place for a holiday, I was there to check on some of my Property but I was frustrated because I ended up staying for more Days than I had wanted. It is loud and congested.but if one has his own home is Ok but there are other nice places to enjoy and have fun It easy to get round Mtwapa, by Tax Tuk tuk and motor Bikes and public means of transport called Matatus.

    Its a nice place with a beautiful beach with clear blue water. Water in the apartments are however salty, I assume its because of the beach surrounding the area. Food and activities are expensive around this area.

    Nyali has got all the beauties everyone imagines.

    Nyali has got all the beauties everyone imagines. Though the property I stayed in was not good due to lack of information while choosing, Nyali hosts all the epic places any person feels so excited. Am really amazed with Mombasa in general and Nyali in particular. Crime rate feels zero level. People are very supportive and amazing. Mombasa/ Nyali has been beyond my expectation! I enjoyed it! Appreciative of Kenyans - wonderful people!
