Great spot right by the beach. All facilities, including the bar, restaurant, yoga area and beach loungers were great. Pizza was delicious. Hosts were very helpful and kindly provided a cold coconut drink on arrival.

This hotel is brand new, so everything feels clean, fresh, and modern. The facilities are excellent — each room has a lovely outdoor chill-out area, and the garden adds a nice relaxing touch. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The most amazing stay highly recommended!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at *Doppel Gangs* in Arugam Bay and had the most unforgettable experience. The hotel is in the *perfect location* close enough to the main road (just a 1-minute walk!) to access everything easily, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet without the crowds and noise. The hotel is *by far the cleanest* I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka, with daily housekeeping that keeps everything fresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. There’s also a *really nice pool*, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the *incredible staff*, especially *Hibed*. We were a group of 8 girls and one boy, and from the moment we arrived, Hibed went *above and beyond* to make us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness were beyond anything we expected. He was always there to help whether it was organizing *tuk tuk rides* at *any time, to any place, with any notice*, fixing a ripped pair of pants with a local seamstress, or surprising us with freshly made yogurt. Every little thing he did added to the magic of our stay. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but I’ve *never* encountered a staff that had such a genuine impact on my overall experience. *Thank you, Doppel Gangs, for an incredible stay. We’ll never forget it.* Can't wait to come back!

Great place for stay relaxing. Beach front property and just 20 steps to the sea. All around many restraurants and bars. Reasonably priced, comfortable and spacious rooms with A/C. The owner and staff were always very helpful and kind. Comfy bed and very clean room and bathroom (toilet paper, soap). Relaxing balcony with hammock. Communication was fentastic. WiFi internet connection was good. Value for the stay!

They are so kind doing the best for the client, I felt they have this very good heart that you remember later. Fresh New comfortable rooms and good to see sri lankan cultural attitudes welcome to stay here more days. We had also the chance to taste their food and fish! and they are very good cookers!     Hotel Review – Arugambay Location: The hotel is perfectly located in Arugambay, close to nearby shops, the beach, IMC Medical Center, and surfing shops — making it super convenient to get anything you need at any time. Room Quality: I stayed in a Deluxe Room — it was super clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The view was amazing, surrounded by natural forest which added a peaceful and relaxing vibe. Food and Dining: They offered a different style of breakfast every day, along with fresh juice. The taste was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Service and Cleanliness: Both the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the entire property was well-maintained. The staff were active 24/7, always friendly and helpful. Facilities: Free high-speed fiber Wi-Fi was available, and it worked perfectly. The hotel also offers good parking space and room service 4 out of 7 days a week. Value for Money: Definitely worth the price — clean rooms, great location, and exceptional service all for a reasonable rate. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Arugambay — for comfort, cleanliness, location, and hospitality.

    Wonderful place This has been a wonderful stay! We had our own little bungalow in a garden surrounded by palm trees! It had both AC and a fan! The place has a nice pool and is lying right on the beach! 🤩 The staff greeted us in a heartwarming way when we arrived late in the evening and made us a good meal, even despite the fact that our booking didn't come through in time as we booked it late. They are all very kind and helpful with everything! The Sri Lankan food they make is amazing, and they know how to take care of you! I highly recommend this place! 🌞If you are here to surf, they are happy to arrange this for you! Raja, the older gentleman, a positive soul, and a happy person was great to us!❤️ If you want secluded prestine beaches, then this place and Whiskey Point is perfect for you!

    Private place, you live in the villa with maximum 4 rooms for guests and 6 staff. I spent 3 lovely days there in which 2 days I was alone in the villa. 6am morning swim, chat and help fishermen, get lobsters and ask the staff to cook me a lobster omelet. It was wow. Next morning I got the king prawns and ask to cook in butter and garlic with sprinkle of white wine. OMG. You would never have the same treatment in average hotel.

    Our favourite place in Sri Lanka! We booked the Suite in the only high building and we loved every bit of it! Best chill out area outside, 30 m walk to the beach that we had to ourself most of the days. Comfy bed, good shower, lots of space and NO mosquitoes. We didn’t get to meet the owner Deen but his uncle is the sweetest too! 100% recommend.

    The staff were amazing! They were really nice and applied to all of our requests. The hotel is in a great location, with yoga classes (for extra charge) and the room was big and comfortable. We had a great stay. The air conditioning is great and new. We would definitely choose it again on our next visit. Highly recommend!

    You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.

    You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

    The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.
